We were due to go on holiday in December last year and you rescheduled for us so that the installation was done for us before we went away. This was greatly appreciated. Your staff were very knowledgable, reassuring and once again very efficient. We are enjoying using the app which is user friendly and most of all we are appreciating either very low electricity bills or non existent ones. Well done Solargain

Mar 19,2020Prior to and now after 2 recent installations (Oct '19 and Feb'20) all was done really well, but it seems that when we ask questions afterwards via emails they don't get replied to.. no big deal, been able to sort out what we needed to know on the 2nd installation by calling support, but still waiting on reply to a question regarding battery emailed to local rep about 3-4 weeks ago, not a high priority with me so not really worried, just the delay in reply a concern.

Mar 17,2020I provided the below detailed feedback to Solargain by email and heard nothing back from them...not exactly great customer care: It's difficult to know whether to go with a larger solar install company like Solargain or Solarhub or a smaller one like ECG Electrical or The Solar Family. With the larger ones you can be more confident that they'll be around in 10 years to honour warranty claims and they have better buying power to provide competitive quotes. However, they often use sub-contractors to do the install and this isn't always a good thing... I ended up going with Solargain. They provided a competitive price and their Canberra salesperson, Joe, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Michelle in the Perth office was also easy to deal with and their quote package was informative as was their information package that is emailed just before the install. However, the actual installation experience wasn't so great as that's where the sub-contractors became involved. They seemed pretty disinterested in communicating with me...well, until it came time to pay the bill anyway and then they were quite interested... Like many sub-contractors, their approach is to do the install as quickly as possible and get the money, with little interest in attention-to-detail, listening to what the customer (i.e. the person who pays their wages) wants, cleaning up etc. They handled the solar panels pretty roughly and it sounded like they were dropping them in place on the roof...hopefully they're durable, because if there are any problems with them in the next few years it will be Solargain's problem; not mine. They clamped the panels so quickly and carelessly that I've had to loosen off about a quarter of them, straighten and retighten. I've subsequently had another electrician to my place and when he looked at the work that the Solargain sub-contractor had done to my meterbox he just shook his head. Overall, I'm happy with the set-up of my system and the price but I do think that Solargain needs more oversight of their sub-contractors to ensure quality work and a better attitude to dealing with customers.

Mar 13,2020Pre installation service could not be faulted. It was very frustrating getting the instructions for being able to access the system once installed through an app on my phone. The helpful service dried up once installment and payment occurred and I still don't have the access that was promised. The system does work well though.

Mar 09,2020The systems appear to be running well but we haven't had a full account from Western Power, and there were a few charges on the last one. We had a power outage last week and I was checking the meter to see how it worked and it came through that fine.

Mar 23,2020I’m very happy with the installation, and it is working well. I think just a little information from the sales and office on the procedure and handover would be of benefit rather than everything on line. Especially for older clients who need a little reassurance.
