Mar 05,2024I made an appointment for the viewing of a property and no-one turned up. As I was keen to see the flat, I rearranged a viewing and was assured that someone would be there. I wasn't given the name or contact details of that person, I had to ask for them. This appointment was at 8.00... early for anyone let alone a 75 year old looking for a retirement property! I was there early and stayed until 8.15, again no-one came. I notified the company, immediately, by email but 24 hours later, I have had no apology I have now received an apology, it would appear that the third party used by sold.co.uk for viewings have seriously under-performed, even lied, as they came up with questions I had supposedly asked about the property! As this gives sold a very bad reputation, I hope they will use another, more reliable local contact in future

Feb 13,2024So let me start from the beginning, as there's a lot that I need to unpack. The viewing itself: Got there early, and there was an estate agent ready, the only words he said were 'Can I check your name', didn't offer any advice, answers and almost gave me the look of "leave, I don't want to be here". The house was lovely, so we put a cheeky offer of 10k under, now we know you need to haggle we weren't expecting much, so not even a day later when I have to ring them (every, time) , they say, the seller won't accept that. Won't, or hasn't, as you know, after two days they HAVE to let the seller know . Fast forwarding 2 days, we jump the gun and offer 2.5k more than the asking price, a day later it gets "accepted" , once again, I am jumping through hurdles asking for updates, as they don't call you . So, they ask my partner and I for proof of funds, which they ask for three times. But then, as it's getting to contract signing time for the seller they go "well when we start validating your funds", so the hadn't even started? Days after? So, as a former police officer, one of my jobs is to be empathetic, and one of my trainers told me some great advice, "Just because this house is a s.....hole, doesn't mean this isn't someone's heaven that they haven't worked years for" . This is in response to Dahnish saying "Well in the grand scheme of things that's not allot of money. " We were paying CASH. And who are you to say such a thing??? Anyway, it gets to 12 o clock the next day, and I get a voicemail, saying oh the seller has a to sign everything at 3pm, but she does have another viewing at 1pm, how convenient, I try calling back again and again, as I have TWO emails saying the sale was agreed, so was it? Was she even aware? Are we being gazumped? Anyway, they make a higher offer than ours, but he can't say, but they knew our offer. And then the whole scpeal "sleep on it" "I'll wait until 10am tomorrow". No, she was meant to sign, what are you doing waiting and giving us these stressful ultimatums, at this point we withdrew, where he pretended to be said and our refund for the opening solicitor fees, no longer exist. So thanks Dahnish and Sarah, horrendous lies and attitude, were never going with sold again! And don't worry Dahnish, I won't forget to leave a "Trust pilot" review, and if they try and come back with anything I have all the proof. We're going with someone else:'( , do NOT trust these liars.

Feb 02,2024Very poor communication including not getting any feedback from viewings, not being told they also have a cash purchase scheme until after it was too late, being given a vastly over inflated valuation and most importantly being told they "guarantee" a sale with 30 days.
