In 2001, a customer named Jen was building her dream home in southern Michigan and wanted a beautiful stairway. She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Jul 07,2020First $70 for semi-round shoe molding is ridiculous, the fact that you cant get it to the size you need. Whos stairs are normally 10" round vs 8", second the shoe molding is larger than normal larger than normal molding so you cannot match it for the straight piece on your stairs. For $70 for a piece that cost $2 to make I shouldn't have to cut it down, sand it to make it fit. If I wanted to do that I should have made it myself. Third, I looked up to order the 3ft piece of shoe mold to match the semi round to finish my stairs. Again, WAY over priced to ship it and it takes 21 days "YES TWENTY ONE DAYS" before it even ships? Dont you have this is stock? It should ship in 24 hours. This company is over priced, out of control, and inefficient.

Jul 07,2020We recently replaced our 2nd floor stairs along with the landing. My husband wanted to replace it with individual pieces of wood as it was previously but I wanted a full slab of wood. I'm glad I searched and found Stair Supplies. I received my order a few days ahead of schedule and the measurements were exact to what I ordered. As they make each piece as ordered I did email them to check on the status and their reply time was great. Would definitely use them again if needed.

Jul 07,2020The stairs are beautiful. Our only complaint is that we were confused by the directions for taking measurements. This meant that instead of having an inch or so to cut to custom length we barely had any extra at all. If you're not sure how to measure you should call for explanation.

I hope you have more people like him willing and able to take care of customers I wasted a week trying to place my order with Raun Kunkel who I’m sure is very busy couldn’t return a call or email. There was a minor error in some incorrectly supplied parts but Stair Supplies quickly advised a fix and credited without question the cost of rectifying the issue. We would highly recommend the glass railings and Stair Supplies. Thank You.
