Nov 15,2017Purchased a newel post. I didn't notice till it arrived that it did not match the existing which was my intent. They would not take it back as a return even though it really isn't a custom made product so I had to eat it. The workmanship on the post was pretty bad. They had bad crooked router lines. Will never buy from them again.

Nov 15,2017Ordered two newel posts and two 1/2 newels. The full newels are beautiful, but both 1/2 newels were damaged. The damage could not be seen until they were unwrapped and opened. When they were delivered, I simply looked at the individual pieces, but did not split apart the 1/2 newels. Lesson learned. They looked fine upon delivery, but both required extra work by our contractor. One piece was actually broken and another had a dented area. I had to buy an extra piece of clear maple so our contractor could replace/repair the pieces. Thank Heavens our contractor has exceptional woodworking skills, or we would have had to reorder the pieces. He stated that he thinks both areas of damage occurred during shipping. I did not contact Stair Supplies because I had accepted the shipment and a few months had passed before we realized the damage.
