May 27,2020I have to disagree with Mr. Andrews review. After some Covid delay, that we understood, we did receive part of the order. Good quality wood-no problems. However a portion of our order was never delivered. They were to ship it "right away". Never happened. Called again only to find out they were NOT shipped. Since this was holding up our job, I had to drive 100 miles, pick them up from someone else to complete project. My company does not do many stairs. When we called and emailed about installation instructions, got ZERO help. No answers, no help no return email. Rail bolts they recommended are poor-template does Not line up rails well. I recommend you go with another type of railbolt. If you have much experience installing complex handrail systems, the quality of the wood products is excellent. Customer follow up, not so good. Very disappointed

Apr 24,2020I went from impressed, to disappointed but understanding, to irritated and unimpressed. Ordering replacement treads online was relatively easy and the finishes looked good. I called to get a sample of what my wife and I had decided. After speaking with one of their reps he talked me into looking at an extra sample. We received two samples. We were wanting Ash with a natural finish. The two samples looked similar but the one marked Ash - Blonde looked slightly richer so we ordered that. As it turns out the sample was marked incorrect. Ash - Blonde was delivered and it is MUCH darker....almost like walnut. I contacted the company multiple times. I got one call back according to caller ID but they left no message. When I called that number back it goes to voice mail. Resolution and quality control are taking hits during the Wuhan virus evidently. I now have 13 expensive treads sitting in my garage that I can't bring myself to install. To be sure, the construction and quality are fantastic....if we wanted walnut finished treads. Stair Supplies should do a FaceTime or Skype call with you showing the finish that you both agree to before ordering or else you could end up with thousands of dollars worth of nice looking fire wood like me. UPDATE: I spoke with Jackie today. She said she would order a remake on the stairs. It will take a while due to the virus, but I get it. I'm moving them up to 2 stars because of this. I will keep you posted. If they correct this I will be back to very impressed.

Apr 10,2020The knowledgeable staff at Stair Supplies was great to work with on my remodel project. The quality of all materials received, to include dark walnut 2" stair treads, dark walnut railing tops and all indoor and outdoor cable railing is second to none. If I could include pictures here, you'd see a fabulous end result. (only including one of several order numbers)

Apr 02,2020I don’t even know where to begin considering the hell this place has put me through. On December 20,2019 I place an order for a dozen treads. They tell me it’ll be shipped by January 27,2020. I’m not an annoying customer and wasn’t calling them constantly and following up leading up to the end of January. I’m a professional and expect the same from people I do business with. On January 20th I call them ONE time in that entire time to ask if everything is going according to schedule and that I’ll be receiving my steps next week. They assure me , everything is going according to plan and I’ll have them. On the 28th of January I call them asking why I don’t have my tracking number emailed to me yet and the status of my order. They give me the run around , and the following morning I get an email stating that my steps are “still in production “ I call up , FURIOUS and demanding answers, I ask the representative ( Brandon ) what the hell does that mean that it’s “in production “ when you told me last week I’d have them by the 27th, I asked , “ when did you start my Order” , Brandon said. “we’re starting today” I absolutely lost it, I was yelling and screaming and couldn’t believe how incompetent and dishonest they were! He had the nerve to tell me “ things happen, sometimes there are delays at the warehouse where the steps are made” To which I replied “ I understand delays , when I called last week, your people said I’d have them on the 27th” they lied ! This was a $3,000 dollar Order !! Keep in mind , I had a local guy build me a metal stringer based on “ stairsupplies “ sample step which I wasted $300.00 on - so now here I am, with a different stringer from another company because stairsupplies stringer wouldn’t work for me because of the clearance of head room. I asked how Brandon would rectify the situation he said he’d speak to his manager and get back to me . The next day this piece of garbage , emails me saying he felt threatened by my tone and would no longer have any communication with me and was going to cancel my order . I apologized for yelling , said I don’t want any credit , just plz put a rush on my steps and send them ASAP , he said NO, that’s it. End of conversation. They basically wasted 6 weeks of my time, and when I kindly asked him to AT LEAST tell me the measurements of the tread I ordered since I built a stringer based on that size , he didn’t even give me the courtesy of responding. DISGUSTING!! Then I had to order treads from another place which took an additional 5 weeks. Basically I wasted 3 months all because I got involved with these liars. Do yourselves a favor - stay away from this company and their other company “ viewrail” which is made at the same factory. They’re a bunch of Time wasting liars !!!

Mar 05,2020The kit come with everything we needed aside from a drill. Every part had a part number that matched their assembly drawing so it was easy to put together. I was worried the stanchions would feel to flexible but they are made with thick walled metal and have a really smart welded design that hides all the weld beads. The final product looks so good its hard to believe we did it ourselves. My only warning is to be careful when tensioning as it is easy to overload the system and bend things.

They were very knowledgeable and willing to help answer questions to make sure we ordered the correct items for our project. Detailed instructions and telephone support made the project easy. Quality product that looks great! We would purchase from Stair Supply again. Highly recommend.

Feb 27,2020Everything arrived as expected. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I had issues with the handrail. The profile that I selected was the 6610. This profile is too thin to drill the 1” hole for the mounting hardware and plug. The 6710 profile is a better selection so that you don’t drill through the side of the handrail.

May 29,2020Your team made one of my stair stringers wrong and I have been waiting 2 months for a new one which was supposed to ship on the 25th of May and I have no correspondence regarding that shipment, despite repeated emails and calls. I cannot get an occupancy permit without stairs. I have paid contractors to install and remove the stringer.
