In 2001, a customer named Jen was building her dream home in southern Michigan and wanted a beautiful stairway. She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Nov 18,2020I purchased a complete kit. It was drawn out with one of there sales people. Got my order and started installing it and noticed one corner post bracket was wrong. I sent in the form and Brad sent me an email telling me nothing was wrong. I sent pictures and his reply was to turn one of my corner post and it would work. I said it would , but it wouldn’t match the look of the other side. He said I could order the right one and pay the overnight shipping. A 5 dollar part and they would not fix the problem. My big project for my deck will go to someone else. Terrible customer service for a cheap fix

The craftsmanship is excellent-- solid, heavy oak-- and the recommendations on hardware were helpful. Shipping was prompt, even given the pandemic. Installation was straightforward. Reasonably priced, too. Highly recommend.

Nov 09,2020The quality of the rail and hardware is impeccable. Sturdy, and comfortable to grip. I ordered a paint-grade wooden rail, painted the rail to match the rest of the woodwork in our home; and it looks like it is original to the house.

Nov 06,2020Our initial order did not go well. The order taker was very confused and the order was delivered with wrong parts. In addition, a Newell post was damaged. I called customer service and Brad took my call. He was excellent. He fixed the prior order errors and ordered a new Newell post. My experience was 2 or 3 stars. Brad was so good I raised it to 4 based on him. Quality of woodwork sees a pretty good too.

Nov 01,2020This was an easy project working with this company. Quick and helpful communication is the key. Transfer of drawings through receiving the materials went smoothly. When a couple of parts were requested the response couldn’t be faster. Always helpful on line. One must take the time to install correctly. Read caste fully the instructions prior to starting it will save heartaches. The completed project is solid, safe and looks terrific. Again it’s the communication not only in the planning but through the installation

Oct 31,2020Navigating the website was, at first, a little tricky. Once we figured it out we found exactly what we were looking for for our stairway. The pieces were beautiful when they arrived and matched up to our handrails almost perfectly. All that was needed was a little sanding to get the contours to line up. Thank you for a great product.

Nov 21,2020A simple, do it yourself project becomes costly nightmare. Rec'd parts for a cable railing system when we purchased a rod railing system, handrail never added to order by salesperson. The instructions didn't "necessarily" apply to our set up, so we learned from one csr. The drawings were confusing. When we began install, none of our professional, licensed carpenters could match the instructions with the pieces. I called 3 times and each time found we were missing a piece of the puzzle with the parts. Twice they shipped missing parts. A new team of 3 carpenters come out to solve this problem and still can't match instructions, they watch videos, they assemble but find we are missing many many more pieces. I contacted CS and they said there was no "evidence" that we are missing these pieces; therefore they must charge us $546 for additional parts. Perhaps we didn't install it correctly to need these extra parts or maybe we did and they were missing. We will never know, but what we do know is that the Company admitted to sending the wrong parts, confusing instructions, and now are charging us retail for the extra parts we need to finish this system that they ordered incorrectly from the start - because they have no evidence that they are missing?? All in all, I would never recommend this company to anyone because by the time we paid all of the subcontractors their hourly rate to watch the video's and return three times because of missing pieces, it would have been less expensive to actually hire a professional company to do this project. We were extremely disappointed at the attitude they took when we found we needed more parts - and retail?? come on!
