In 2001, a customer named Jen was building her dream home in southern Michigan and wanted a beautiful stairway. She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Oct 09,2018Ordered a stair skirt. Extremely expensive, took 7 weeks to deliver, they charged my card right away. Which I knew when I ordered, so I patiently waited. Then when it arrived it was not cut, they sent plain rectangles, said I had to get them custom cut on my own. I was not able to return them and was asked, Why did you think this was a custom order? because, the price is high and takes 7 weeks..... that's why! PLUS what I got is not what is pictured. They said "find a friend with a saw...." Now I know. I learned my lesson and will not ever do this again! Thanks for screwing me over!

Sep 30,2018A great product! A little bit of a learning curve for the un-initiated, but the results are worth it! I am not a professional contractor but, I am a bit more than just "handy". My stair was "non-standard" (13 vs the usual 16 steps between floors) which made the angle steeper. No worries. The rails came custom made to order. The finished form and function are spectacular!

Sep 22,2018Customer service was very good (5 stars). Quality was not so good. They shipped a 3 ring binder with a copy of the order, however the instructions for assembly were missing. The instructions included the important detail of having to hog out the holes in the post for the cable to pass thru, costing me valuable time (also, had I known, I would have hogged out the holes in the post off site before the posts were installed which would have saved me from having to clean up aluminum filings from the customer's carpeting on the stairs). Also ordered the cable polish and sealer, but they shipped 2 bottles of polish. Last they shipped 38 degree collars for the cables and I needed 45 degree collars, but customer service quickly remedied the problem. In total 2 or 3 hours of my time was lost and I looked stupid in front of the customer when I could not pass the cable through the posts. The end result was very nice and customer was very happy. My last beef was filling out a request for a return good authorization number to return the tools and a spool of cable. I had to write an email asking for the process, then I filled out the form on line and clicked "submit" and then closed out the program. When I didn't get a response, I filled the request form out again and found that you have to click on submit twice (?). Why?

I checked with many outlets for this item in my area of Los Angeles, but no one can do what Stair Supplies did for me. Being shipped from so far I was really scared, but I got what I ordered as per measurements and color. Amazing.
