In 2001, a customer named Jen was building her dream home in southern Michigan and wanted a beautiful stairway. She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Sep 18,2018When we first started looking for a railing for our new porch, I came across Stair Supplies and their View Rail system. My first thought was that it was overpriced, and I considered trying to make one myself. Then I took a closer look at their system. Just the raw metals to make a post came to almost 70-80% of the price for their finished post. The hardware/cable set up that they have engineered is amazing, and super easy to use and install. I was able to put up a 2 sided perimeter on our porch, with a total of 7 posts (including stairs) in an afternoon. We have gotten a ton of compliments on the new porch and railing, it looks amazing, is built to last, and was easy to install. It took several contacts with them to get everything dialed in, but the customer service was amazing as well. If you are considering this at all, I say go for it!

Sep 17,2018I bought a home from 1964 and upgraded the stairs with a new handrail and balusters. My brother is in the remodeling business and recommended Stair Supplies. For a better product and the same price as the box stores I was able to get what I wanted.

Sep 17,2018Changed shipping dates 2 times without letting us know after missing the originally promised timeline. It wasn't until we called to confirm shipment that we were told dates had been changed. We called and confirmed a shipment 2 days before ship date and they confirmed it was a go only to find out the day after it was supposed to have shipped that it did not ship. The only reason we found out was because we called. They didn't have the business acumen to inform us that they could not keep their own schedule. Extremely poor communication / scheduling.

Sep 17,2018I had to wonder when the estimated ship time on my 3' handrail was scheduled to arrive 1.5 months after placing my order what was the delay. But the quality of the final product when it arrived conviced me that the wait was worth it. The customer I ordered this for was extremely impressed and happy with how close a match it was to her existing handrails. The railing came well packed in a protective shipping container. Overall, I am very pleased with my Stair Supplies order.

Sep 17,2018ordered hundred plus iron balusters which arrived on time as promised. enjoyed all the information online and took advantage of the web site stair designer option. my installer did a great job & the staircase upgrade project is in final stages of completion. wish I could have returned the epoxy gun and cartridges which weren't needed.
