She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Feb 04,2018Project was to install an all oak railing and handrail. Getting the right parts on the order took a bit of back and forth with the company representative, but nothing too unnerving. The product took a while to arrive, but they told me that up front, so it was no surprise. When product arrived, the delivery people carted the product into our garage since it was early February. No problems. And wow was the product well protected in shipping! I was a bit surprised to see how big the two shipping crates were. When i unpacked them however, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much care they had taken to protect the products. And the unstained oak newel posts and balusters are beautiful! Very well made and of very high quality. Mitered corners on the Box newels to hide all joints. I have yet to install, just having unpacked the materials today, but i am most satisfied with the quality, the accuracy of the order, and the care that was taken to product the product while in transit! Great job to all!

Feb 01,2018@stairsupplies These are idiots of the highest degree. They advertised a great deal on Google shopping then sent 1/100th of the order. Do they seriously think they can remain in business stealing from people like this? Then they refused to make it right. WOW #avoidthiscompany

Jan 09,2018Ordering stairs online is not for the faint of heart. TJ was very helpful. The rest was a hassle. Stair supplies uses a shipping company that shows up in a semi truck and expects you to hoist an 800 pound 22 ft crate off their truck (steel mono stringer beam with supplies). No prior notice or warning was given about that. One railing showed up that was a completely different color than ordered for half the wood. They did replace but then that was another month delay. Received a shortage of hardware and charged $40 bucks to fedex to fix their error. Then, that fedex was sent regular mail instead and had to start the process all over again. The lady processing the request basically sounded irritated at me about their error, and absolutely no apology offered. But hey, she didnt charge me for the second “fedex”. They did send a representative to oversee the initial installation for the day which proved helpful. Having said that, on a positive note, the actual product is nice and I appreciated the wide selection of woods and treads that were available to choose from. In summary, see the first sentence again.

The cable railings won't work for me so I've had to look elsewhere, but Jayson was great at talking me through the decision process. Even though I'm not a buyer, I would heartily recommend. Thanks!

Dec 10,2017I really enjoyed the fit and feel of the railings. Ease of assembly and clean setup was great. My only disappointment is around the Key Hole Connectors. With a little effort they could be great, the main issue is that they don't lock in place, but can turn and come loose, if there was a little notch on the outside edge that fit into the groove to lock them from turning these would be amazing.

Nov 25,2017Now that they're in, the stairs are beautiful, and we could not be happier. The install was complicated by fact that only a portion of the hanger bolts and hex nuts were shipped in the order. So we ended up having to shop around town for the necessary hardware parts. Waiting for a back-up shipment would have taken too long. It also would have helped to have had some instructions included.

Price and the options available at Stairsmaster can’t find any other site. I can wait untill my next project so I can order my stairs/steps again.

Nov 20,2017We replaced our white painted ballisters with bronze colored iron ones. The quality is excellent- very substantial, good weight. Much more updated look, pdf instructions on website were easy to follow. Shipping was prettt quick, one appeared to be crooked . Customer service was excellent, replacement was sent immediately, no questions asked. Great experience.

Nov 19,2017The product is 5-star, but the packaging is 4-star. The screws for the universal top post hardware are packaged together in a small zip-lock bag, causing small paint chips to occur on the matte black finish during shipping. The boxes used for the tension kits with all the cut-outs for the parts don't work. During shipment the adhesive sleeves fall out and slide around the bottom of the box.
