A reasonably priced product, works well gives us what we need allowing us to stay in our existing home. Of. Late the customer care aspect has improved making it a more friendly and reliable.
I wish I could give Stiltz a 5 star rating, because I believe their lift is a brilliant concept, and have been very satisfied with it. However, there are some issues in design which the management are reluctant and very slow to face. There is a problem with the safety curtain as mentioned in other reviews, and there has been a bit of a "botched" job here as a remedy. the internal door handle is now by my knees. Their CEO referred the problem to their Head of Engineering twenty one months ago, but so far the silence from him is deafening. One major omission is the lack of instruction within the lift, again something referred to amongst other reviews. Many buttons and lights, but, without the instruction manual to hand, all pretty useless to the one entrapped. I have pasted a copy of the warning light page above the panel within the lift. I have also taped an obsolete Credit Card, in case of emergency with instructions, close to the door latch inside the lift. These are all things an efficient Management would have corrected for their customers many months ago. Finally two more minor matters: on installation, certain parts were delivered incorrectly, and it took six months to complete. I reported minor cracks appearing at the top of the perspex interior some three months ago. I have heard nothing from the company. Wake up Mr Lord, I believe you have an excellent product spoiled by lousy Customer Relations.
Unobtrusive, when parked upstairs, visitors do not realise there is a lift in the hall. Simple to operate and no prolems after 3 years service
Happy, thanks for four and a bit of no stairs, a life safer for us
My house is a mediaeval Hall House extended in the 17th Century. It has many small rooms with low ceilings, Only Stiltz were prepared to quote for installation and the only feasible place was in a staircase. This was very difficult as there was only 2m headroom and it meant breaking into the roof space and cutting through rafters and joists. It took a few attempts to complete installation but the team never gave up and I now have a perfect installation hidden behind a door in my study and rising into my bedroom. The lift is quite small but adequate for my Labrador, who loves the lift, to accompany me. It works well and is quiet, and does not hide my beautiful timber frame as it is transparent.
The surveyor is very experienced and clever at assessing and establishing the best construction position in which to install the lift The construction work was properly planned and supervised and executed by experienced work force including alterations to the lift cab to suit the ceiling head room where necessary. Also Furniture was moved as necessary and carpet and flooring carefully cut and fitted around opening and on top of lift cab New electrical installation and alterations to existing properly executed and wall and ceiling plastering and finishes made good around opening .The installation was surprising quickly executed and cleaned up during and after
The through floor lift fits neatly into the house and was quickly and neatly installed. It has been reliable and has enabled us to live a 'normal' home life using the first and ground floors. A stairlift would not have done so.
This lift allows us to live in our house without bringing a bedroom downstairs. We couldn't live here without it. The beauty is that it is discreet and doesn't make the house look or feel like a hospital.
I have exclaimed to visitors that the purchase and installation of our Stilz lift was among the very best investments that I have ever made. It transformed our lives as my wife who is disabled is now much more independent as she simply uses the lift to come from her bedroom to her little sitting room and her chair and return in the evenings without the struggle of stairs, a stair lift chair (so unsightly) or other physical assistance.
Great help . Couldn't live without it. Brilliant invention.
Good efficient service and local engineer
In general the lift works fine BUT THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE. The light barrier that causes the lift to stop if anything projects outside the lift operates within and below the top of the safety doors. This means that if the occupant has a wide skirt etc the lift will stop causing anxiety for the usually elderly occupant. This can also be a problem when transporting objects such as suit cases with no-one in the lift if the case falls against the safety door. This is very difficult to overcome and requires a ladder to move the item in question.
The Stiltz lift was the best purchase we made after we moved to this house. Not only does it enable my wheelchair bound son gain access to a bedroom on the first floor, it also helps now we are getting older to transport heavy items from each floor level.
My lift has been a boon and a pleasure every day since we had it installed two or three years ago, It is quiet and moves us, maximum two people, and grocery shopping up to the kitchen floor without any effort on our part. A complete success.
Simply nothing to fault. Superb customer service from start to finish. Surveyors and installers delightful and attentive, making sensible suggestions and offering solutions to queries. The tidiest workmen ever known. And as for the lift; it provides my mother with daily delight, surveying her rooms as she rises through the floors! Well made and designed for practicality, perfectly fitted and bottom line - ideal. Would recommend to all my friends. Thank you.
The lift is very useful for my condition. it works well. One small complaint ,,,the latch on the door is quite loud opening and closing. No problems with lift since being fitted.
An excellent invention.Keep up the good servicing and early attention to any urgent repair.
Best investment ever made. Works beautifully, no problems in 4 years.
In general, the lift is very satisfactory. i have one criticism;when the lift is ascending one of the guide-wheels, possibly mis-shaped, makes a thumping noise and causes the lift to shudder on each rotation hat such a simple fault cannot easilof the wheel. It seems a pity ty be corrected, perhaps by changinm which the wheels are made. Over to you.g the material fro
