Jan 09,2025We recently visited Stokers in Chester as we wanted to buy two sofas. We were served by Martin Worley who was friendly, attentive and answered all our questions. Martin was aware that we were shopping around for the best deal but he never tried to pressurise us into a sale, unlike some of the other shops in the area that we visited. We bought two sofas from Martin at a very competitive price and would be happy to do business with him again.

Jan 09,2025We have lived in Southport for 30 years and have enjoyed visiting Stokers on many occasions. After a substantial rebuild we bought a lot of furniture which was beautiful and 15 year on still is. We wanted a new mattress to help my aging back and Stokers was our first port of call. What a delightful experience I had talking to Carl about mattresses. What he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing and I was delighted with the advice and decision which took no time at. I have now received a delivery date and am really looking forward to a decent nights sleep. Don’t bother going anywhere else as you can’t beat this fantastic family business.

There is a very relaxed atmosphere at Stokers - nobody aggressively trying to sell things to you - but the staff are unobtrusively there. Carl Sixsmith gave me valued advice, then withdrew to let me make up my mind. When I had, he was knowledgeable, efficient and reassuring. Everything completed in one go. Oh, and I'm delighted with my new furniture!

Jan 08,2025I was looking for a new mattress, so had tried a few places, then thought I would try Stokers, well! I was speechless really as thought it to be an expensive shop. To be honest it was very comparible in price against other stores, however I was looking for something special a,Harrison Spinks yes expensive in itself but got a really good deal. This was enhanced by excellent salesmanship from Carl Sixsmith at Southport, extremely knowledgeable but not pushy explained differences between makes ect, gave me time to go away and think about it after trying a few out, tbh I probably drove him mad asking lots of questions, still he was not preterbed by me, very patient, rely friendly and professional a lovely man. Would definitely recommend them and him give that man a DAY OFF he deserves it he was busy as on his own but made himself known if others needed help.

Jan 08,2025After dealing with a few pushy sales people in other stores it was refreshing to meet Martin downstairs helping us to pick the perfect leather suite for our lounge and Pete upstairs helped us buy the right mattress without trying to push us a shop store preference the prices were better than the national stores and we felt totally comfortable in our purchases

No pressure from sales executives although useful information regarding colours and fabrics available given, with time alone to peruse all options. Excellent sales service then given from Phil Aldridge once decision made, with follow up email in confirmation.
