Sep 08,2024We had a complicated tax issue with our 2019 tax return. As a result we received an audit notification in July 2021 which would result in an additional 6 digit tax payment. Fortunately we had signed up for Tax Audit coverage while doing our turbo tax return. They were instrumental in helping us even understanding what our issue was and, after paying a $50,000 plus interest assessed penalty, stuck with us for 3 years and 4 appeals that resulted in the IRS removing the penalty and returning those dollars this month. Our payment for their services was minimal.
