Feb 07,2025As a young person who is making ends meet and trying my best to do what I can, I feel like I was misled by those who were there in the process. I purposely made sure I paid for services to help with my taxes as I was new to the process. It felt like a waste to spend what I spent when there wasn't the support I needed. When I was on the phone with different agents, they informed me that it would be a guarantee if I weren't helped that I would have the guarantee, and it would cover any costs, including charges or taxes. If I had known this, I wouldn't have spent $900 and sought out the guarantee on my own. Even with the guarantee, it doesn't support everything fully. It makes me want to go with someone else to file my taxes for the 2024 season, as I was misled by the person who helped me with my taxes in the first place with the live assistance and tax professional back in the year I got the IRS notice.

Feb 01,2025This was the first time in my life that I got audited.After panicking,I realized that I had an agreement with Total Audit to act as my rep .withe the Federal IRS. I searched and found a file from you.I looked it over and thought this was going to be a not pleasant expierence. Boy, I was wrong. I contacted the number ,as directed. The person I talked to was very helpful and gave me what the procedure would be. I was assigned to Ashley Cole, who called and advised what the steps would be and assigned to Rafael Parsegian As my tax professional. He proceeded to ask questions about the 2022 tax return. This phone call was very informative and advised that he would always be available by phone with any questions, no matter what it is.He then went over what the steps that will be needed to satisfy the IRA. As he advised, I made many calls about all theconfusion I was having. He was very helpful when I did not understand some of the paperwork he needed from the IRS.He would always be patient which made me fell I could always keep asking about problems. By June of 2023 he was able to come up with a revised number which he submitted to the IRS. The thing that amazed me is how long it took the IRS to submit A final number in January ,which was very close to his estimate.Because It took so long I would get nervous and call up Rafael who was very patient in calming my fears. At the beginning I was very concerned about using Tax Audit after I completed the taxes. Mainly because of him, I am glad that I did and I will strongly recommend to my family and friends

Jan 30,2025I am using TaxAudit for the second time and right now I am not at all happy with the "tax professionals" the company assigned to me. I have a really complicated case because I developed iNPH over the past 20 years. It manifested itself around 2020 when my neurologist determined that I needed a shunt in my head to drain the water (folks, do NOT use NSAIDs long-term; I can tell you later). I submitted my information but apparently I did not submit fast enough for the two "representatives". One focused on a simple math error I made that was NOT why I contacted TaxAudit initially. In fact that error was an extremely small percentage of what I might be unable to pay. Another error I noticed after I filed just the IRS and Mass forms was that Mass took the K1 for NJ when it left it for the NJ return. So right now I have duplicate levels of taxes to pay for MA and NJ that I have to rectify. TaxAudit made no effort to address that issue. Its representative closed the case. I delayed filing for 2022 after an "Irish Traveler" scammed me. I was hoping the FBI and HSI would not take so long to find the scammer, but I realized I just had to file something. I have received letters from the IRS and from MA requesting payment as though I were not making contributions to my donor advised fund (DAF). For almost the past ten years I have tried to offset the money owed in taxes with contributions to my two DAFs. Since I have not recovered my money, the taxing authorities cannot see how much I would have contributed to offset the gain I had in 2022. But ... no ... TaxAudit didn't care about that at all. This set of returns will probably have a few more curve-balls as I have all sorts of documentation I have filed since late 2022 with the FBI (the IC3 report), emails with HSI, a court appearance before a federal grand jury, information my private investigator has found, and last but not least, my "wonderful" health history that my northern European genes gave me (HlAb-27) that is an indicator for countless auto-immune diseases. I can tell you all more about that, too. I think TaxAudit just didn't want to get involved. I had no input into the decision-making. Time was important to them, but not a solution. One woman said she wanted to conclude my case because she had some remote training sessions she wanted to attend and besides the 2024 tax season was beginning. I could hear her child making noise in the background. I complained to two folks at TaxAudit (a receptionist this past Friday afternoon who said I would have an answer in two business days and to one of the women associated with my case via email as I was submitting some more forms after the "main representative" closed my case. Sadly, my health issues, the nasty "Irish Traveler", and the dubious initial responses I have received from Tax Audit do not give me a warm fuzzy feeling about the firm. However, its atrocious software on the website was the "icing on the cake"! I submitted many forms to TaxAudit but it does NOT have a function that succintly lists all the documents I submitted to date! I had to print all the emails I sent so I could see the attachments listed in each email. Once I had all the emails merged into one PDF file, I scanned through the files to list those documents that were not repeats. If I ever receive some assistance from the company, I will update this review to indicate what TaxAudit will do. Until then, I hope that those who read these descripton will search for another firm or bite the bullet and pay some overpriced accountant. My experience a few years ago was that I had to help the accountant figure out how to handle K1 forms. I kid you not but at least he gave me a credit for my help. TaxAudit just aggravated me.

Her calculations on the payment amount was accurate and the steps that she guided me with for payment process were perfect!! A wonderful person to work with and she was patient all along this journey to resolve the issue with the IRS.

In fact, the whole process from ease of connecting with the TurboTax Audit Defense team, my phone call was immediately picked up, a case number assigned and within a few days Deysi reached out to me. She listened well, understood my oversight in my return and held all the IRS correspondence. The IRS agreed with our assessment and Deysi gave clear next steps to complete my amended return. I have no suggestions for improvement opportunities. Great job all round Audit Defense team!
