** ABSOLUTELY USELESS - AVOID DESPITE THEIR CHEAP COSTS.** Delivery arranged for 4 hour slot 7.40am-10.40am. Website full of promises "We give you a time slot. Our driver contacts you just before delivery. You won't have to wait in all day." Get to work early at 7.40am ready for it. DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF IT! Driver phones 9.12am. Just a short distance away. Nothing. Try phoning him back on his mobile several times. No answer. Phone the delivery wing at gone midday. They can't get an answer on his phone which turns out to be a different phone number. They look at tracking on his van. "Oh he's in the W4 area. He shouldn't be there. Maybe he's changed his route. he shouldn't do that. I'm sure he'll get to you." Well of course he didn't. Gone 4pm I phone them back. They get through to him this time and he 'claims' he couldn't find the item on his van. Didn't think to phone though did he? Spoke to CUSTOMER SERVICE department today. They too are ABSOLUTELY USELESS and have NO INTEREST in retaining customers or feedback. I have cancelled the order and will get from a different company.

Rang up to get a price match, all done easily over the phone with Scott. Chose my delivery date, got a text the night before with estimated arrival time. Got a call an hour before and delivery driver friendly and helpful and on time. Definitely would use again. Highly recommended.

Ordered a cooker 26/4/16, GS had to order from the manufacturer & were not able to deliver until 28/5/16. The website said "In Stock" at time of ordering & throughout the month, obviously it was not "In Stock". Happy to take your money by any means, very dubious. Fortunately I could wait & the cooker was finally delivered in good condition at a very good price but after they had my money I was nervous until it arrived in case they went "Bump"

Having ordered from The Gas Superstore (Fires-Cookers) quite recently for another large kitchen purchase (just on £1500), unfortunately my second experience and view of the company has been tarnished by their simple inability to be able to handle situations where deliveries become an issue or where they need to handle their suppliers, set reasonable expectations and make commitments they can keep to customers. I ordered an American Fridge Freezer on the 10th May, scheduled for delivery on the 21st May (I purposely chose a date further out as I was having some work done), on the very late afternoon of the 20th May, i receives a voicemail message to say that their supplier delivery hasn't been made and my item can't be delivered (I didn't actually get this until the morning of the 21st). Other than the fact they left this until the last minute to let me know, that's fine, I accept these things happen. I called them up the following Monday and arranged for delivery on the 28th after also being told they only get deliveries on a Thursday from the manufacturer (point of note for anyone ordering and expecting next day delivery) This is where things go downhill, I called them on the Thursday to be advised they actually have no idea what goods they will get from the manufacturer on that day, to say I was bemused at the statement was astounding (I find this hard to believe, absolutely bizarre, and stupefying that a very large main-stream fridge/tv/electronic goods manufacturer doesn't send item shipping notes or details of shipments to their re-sellers). I was also told that I would receive an email to advise at what time my delivery would be that Saturday. I didn't. On the Friday mid morning I called again, and was told, it wasn't a problem, they have my order, it will be delivered as arranged and the driver would call me on the day to advise when my delivery would be. I made a point of saying it was good job, as I was going to cancel the order and get it from another online supplier, as although it was £150 more, they could commit to deliver on the Sunday (29th). At 17:16, bearing in mind they are only open Mon-Fri until 17:30, I gets a email that tells me their supplier has let them down and I won't be getting my delivery, but would I consider another item? First of all, could then not call me? second, why email me that late when they clearly new on the Thursday, from the previous statement around deliveries and why tell me in the morning it wasn't an issue and they had the item in stock, thirdly, why the hell would I want another item when I purchased a specific model and the one that was at the top tier of the manufacturers range; what was I going to do, settle for a lesser product? How many people look for goods settle on one and think, no, i'll just get something else; most people will order from another more reputable firm to ensure they get what they ask for. Finally, why did their website sate it was available and in stock and I could actually select delivery for next day? It stunk, it felt like to me that as I purchased it at a relatively low price, and they had put it up to £1099, from £999 (and I had a £50 voucher also), it was a deliberate attempt to have me cancel the order. Needless to say, I'm out of pocket at their expense; I've just paid an extra £120 for the goods to have it delivered next day from another organisation, who can be trusted to actually do what they say and deliver when they say without any of the hassle or subjective nature as to what might happen. It's just a shame these companies that repeatedly fail are also able to be charged back by customers for failed deliveries, just as much as they can charge a customer. I've also requested a refund, but I don't expect to see that in a hurry. EDIT: @06/06 Still no refund although I've been advised 'its been processed'. Yeah right, to why isn't in my account?

After a mixup with our new kitchen we were left with no oven and needed to get one ASAP. Ordered from the gas superstore around lunchtime on Friday and the oven arrived before 9am on Saturday, without me having to pay an exorbitant delivery charge! Scott on the sales line was helpful and was genuinely polite and friendly, despite being full of cold. Got my invoice emailed to me minutes after I ordered, just like he said he would. I received SMS notification of my 3 hour delivery slot (no 8am-8pm slot like the big boys give you!) the night before, and a call from the delivery driver about 30 min before he got to us. Overall super impressed, was all so quick and easy which is the opposite of our experience with a certain orange branded diy store's customer service and delivery service this last week. 100% recommended!

Bought a Fridge Freezer and was happy with the price and choice. However, i called to ask how long the discount would be offered, and was encouraged to place the order over the phone. The house name was spelt incorrectly, not in itself a problem, as there are no other houses on the road with even a remotely similar name. I did not get an email appraising me of a deliver slot, again not a huge problem, but I called to check up on delivery and checked that I would be contacted by phone when it was approximately half and hour away. No call, but a delivery van duly pulled up and I went out when my removal men were calling me to come out for my fridge. One of the delivery drivers told me that the phone number didn't work and also was not happy with the house name..... I had checked my mobile number when I had called the company earlier in the day. it was brought in and left in the centre of my kitchen and abandoned, with no offer to help with packaging - good job I had some lovely removal men to help, otherwise I would have never got it off the polystyrene base!

Ordered my items months ago but had to wait for the stove to be built. Everything arrived exactly when they said it would, near enough to the minute! Several texts and a phone call from the very helpful delivery men was also a good touch to let me know when I needed to be in.

I have bought a microwave from them for which I changed my mind. I contacted them within 7 days to arrange an exchange both by phone and e-mail. I am still waiting for their response. When I tried to call them today no response. I will never use them again.

We ordered a washing machine with The Gas Superstore.Admittedly ,they were the cheapest online,so we were bound to try them.Delivery time was coming in at 10 days! A bit of a stretch as ours had just broken, but we thought it was do-able.I called The Gas Superstore and asked if the machine may come before then or was the 10 day delivery set in stone. We were assured that it was highly likely that it would come before. It didn't. On the day of delivery, like many others we sat and waited in ALL day for a no show.We called them the next day to be told it would be another 4 working days.I told them this was not acceptable and asked for a refund. No text,no email,no phonecall at any point from them to advise that the machine would not be coming. Following that,i purchased from another reliable online retailer with free next day delivery.

I ordered a fridge freezer online on 28/4 which gave me a delivery of 3/5 (after May day bank holiday). I read the poor delivery reviews after placing the order, so thought to confirm the order by phone on the 29/4 since I needed to book a day off work. I was told the fridge freezer was not due from the suppliers until 27/5!! If I hadn't called then I would have wasted a days holiday. It seems that their website has no link between delivery schedules and warehouse stock. Seriously avoid, there are better online companies out there.

I placed an order online for a Fridge Freezer, they took payment, and said they could deliver on the day I wanted. So I booked the time off work, then called them the morning of the day before to check that it was definitely happening, which they confirmed. Later that day, I get another call saying they're sorry but they made a mistake and they didn't have the item after all, did I want an alternative? I'd spent a long time researching and choosing this, so no, I didn't. I should have listened to all the negative reviews on here!

I chose Gas Superstore as although the oven I wanted was more expensive than with other internet companies, with 3 weeks notice I was assured by the live chat folk that my oven could be delivered on a particular date when I had workmen/gas fitters in my new house, however the evening before my expected delivery I received an email saying it wasn't coming due to a stock delivery problem. They did not say when it would be coming. I had to chase and chase, often being told a manager would call me back (and they wouldn't), to find out what had happened and when my oven would be coming. In the end I was without any cooker for nearly a month and had to pay extra for fitters to come out. Eventually after a lot of calls I managed to speak to someone who after refusing to compensate me eventually agreed to price match my oven with the cheaper company. On delivery day I did receive a 3 hour window by text but there was no reference number or other information nor did I receive the promised phone call with an hours notice. Having just bought a new house I have used a lot of Internet companies over the last few months and I can honestly say the Gas Superstore was definitely the worst provider. A shame as the oven is fabulous. Rachel Y

Frustrated that I waited in queue when calling in so used on-line chat support. Spoke to Scott who answered all my questions to my satisfaction and placed the order with him.

Do not order anything from these people. They are cheap for a good reason. They lied about the delivery date, reneged on their second promised date, didn't reply to my enquiries and have charged me for goods I am still yet to receive.

I placed an order for delivery in 2 weeks' time, as timing was important. Payment was taken that day, and I received confirmation of the order and delivery date. After taking the day off work on the delivery date, it didn't arrive. I called to query, and was told that the item was out of stock! I don't need to explain why this is unacceptable. Guys, to do ecommerce properly, you absolutely need systems that prevent this sort of occurrence. The online ordering system should verify stock availability before the order is accepted, and should immediately allocate stock to the order; if this can't be done for some reason, something manual should happen ASAP to verify that the order can be fulfilled and to communicate any issues to the customer. You are currently relying on automated systems that are not reliable. The only silver lining was that it was easy to get the order cancelled and refunded.

What a fantastic company , and the sales person was the best . It's a bit daunting ordering appliances over the net , but I should not of worried , it was so easy . Customer service is excellent and nothing was a problem , items were ordered and in stock very quickly , now I am just waiting for the delivery , even sorting that out was not a problem and I live down south . I would like to say a big thank you for all your help , from a very satisfied customer . Having received my goods , there were a few issues I have emailed several times regarding after sales care and have had no response from them .They were quick to respond when placing an order but not after they have got my money .In my opinion their customer service is very poor . I have since had a telephone call ( coincidence or what ) However the issues have now been sorted

Waited in for text to advise 3 hour delivery slot but when not received by 2.00pm I called only to be told that the fridge had been discontinued and that someone should have called me! 2 weeks later and after several calls I still haven't received a refund and they are still advertising the appliance! No apology, no refund...shocking service!
