My elderly mum has just had her first ever brand new kitchen fitted from Jonas and James, she is over the moon and the quality and the workmanship of the kitchen is fab, from the start with Kirstie the kitchen designer and the planning it went great, the rip out and fitting was also done by a bunch of great guys who explained everything to mum kept her in the loop, overall the quality of the kitchens are first class š
Had a home visit for a design.. All measured discussed style and colour.. Has a call the next day where I thought all would be clear with costs etc.. Now the let down..the desig er was unsure of exactly what had been placed where..sizes of units..what sink and taps were in design a d costs. Then was ask to hold whilst the plan was rearranged..I asked for a call back to discuss when design was correct.. The end.Nothing.. No call emails or messages.. Still no design or costing.. Still no Kitchen on order.. Wow..who does want my business. My reply to the response is no invoice number given. Pitsea Store Ess
Purchased a kitchen from Edge Lane store and had it installed by their recommended installers including a 10 year warranty for the worktops (taj mahal- Mirostone) Noticed a crack to the worktop close to the join which has got bigger. Notified the Jonas & James @ The Range of this issue. Kitchen designer Richard from the Edge Lane store came out to inspect, took photos and agreed it was a faulty worktop. Then got an email from him advising I would need to contact the manufacturer directly, basically fobbing us off. I did this, and they advised any claim would need to come from Jonas & James directly, so contacted the Range again, requesting a complaint be logged. I have had sporadic emails when I have chased this up. I have finally been advised via email that from the photos provided the warranty claim has been rejected due to the worktops not being fitted correctly. We used Jonas & James recommended kitchen installers by the Kitchen Designer (Richard) who has used these installers for years. The customer service is absolutely shocking and I would never recommend that anyone uses Jonas & James for kitchens. They will do anything to not honour a genuine warranty claim submitted to them.
We have had an amazing service from Kirsty your designer at the Doncaster and Birstall stores. She was fantastic from start to end. We went to store to look at the quality of the units, we were really impressed with the solid backs not like the flimsy slide in mdf you get at B&Q. We gave Kirsty our measurements and she came up with a design within budget that really suited our requirements. She then arranged a visit to ensure our measurements were correct. She then went back to store and created a further drawing using corner units which I just loved. We set a preliminary delivery date and because my husband was fitting it she provided us with a detailed fitters pack with specific instructions on the more complex areas. Approximately a month before delivery date, kirsty contact me again to confirm. Delivery date arrived and the kitchen was delivered in the morning so no waiting around. That evening Kirsty came over which I thought was really good and she went through the fitters pack with my husband. She saw that one of the worktops had an imperfection and ordered us another one the next day which was delivered in a matter of days which did not delay installation. I can honestly say Kirsty was amazing and although we chose to fit it ourselves she gave advice where needed throughout and checked in regular to see how we were getting on. Brilliant after sales support and we cannot thank her enough.
I was dreading looking to purchase my new kitchen as it seemed like a minefield to me! I neednāt have worried, the moment I walked into J&J showroom in the Range at Paignton I fell in love.. I wanted white gloss laminate and the one I wanted was right there in the window. Richard the designer was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to and not at all pushy , he explained everything to me. He came and measured up and designed and priced my kitchen for me. I wasnāt the easiest customer as I changed my mind 3 times regarding the re sighting of the central heating boiler and have to say throughout it all Richard remained patient and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. I used an independent fitter of my own choice and he was very impressed with the quality of the units and said that Richardās measurements were āspot onā as sometimes it can be a ānightmare ā making it all fit ,so well done Richard and thank you so much for your patience and kindness. I love my kitchen and will surely recommend you.
stumbled across J&J in the range and from the word go Kirsty was lovely very knowledgable and helpful We trusted her and what she was saying and went with her design and recommendations for our beautiful new kitchen. She taylored our needs and finances to the kitchen we wanted. The team she put together weāre skilful, professional and communicated well with me, they were polite and friendly carried out their work professionally and efficiently, Thank you to all concerned weāre very happy customers
I don't usually write reviews (lazy I know) but I was so pleased with the level of service and quality of our kitchen from Doncaster Jonas and James, I felt obliged to spread the word! Kirsty was great to deal with, patient and helpful while I dithered about layout, flexible on dates when our builder let us down, went above and beyond several times. The fitters were also really good to deal with and did an excellent job, tweaking a few things on site, nothing seemed like too much trouble. We are so pleased with the finished kitchen, looks a million dollars! I have used many other kitchen suppliers in the past but either felt disappointed by the service, price or quality of kitchen....not in this case! Thank you!
UPDATE :- Despite emailing as requested yesterday, unsurprisingly you have not replied, although you have a responded to a review received today on here. Once again poor service, next stop trading standards ! Our process started early 2021 with James at the Newport branch of Jonas & James (based in The Range) & the purchase of the Hamilton Gloss kitchen. Despite a box being dropped when delivered and a cabinet being slightly damaged (thankfully not visible so didnāt need to be replaced) all was good. However, when fitting a few issues materialised as measurements had not been taken correctly and the process was not straight forward - although apparently the T & Cās tell you to get your fitter to re-measure the kitchen - surely this wouldnāt be needed if they knew it was done correctly in the first place by a trained professional !! ⦠2 larder units had to be cut down as the taller units had been ordered (despite the lack of ceiling height) costing us not only an additional purchase price but labour hours on fitting ! ⦠A corner unit was ordered too big (despite us questioning this after the order had been made & we were still informed it would fit). Again additional costs were incurred (as above) in order to get the unit correctly fitted. ⦠Mirostone (lovina) worktops arrived - no fitting kit was ordered or supplied, hence causing an additional delay with fitting. However, despite these issues, we were happy with the overall finish of the kitchen until now ⦠Our current situation is horrendous ! We have a water damaged integrated washing machine door ā¦.. (unable to load photo) Our very experienced kitchen installer of over 26 years has confirmed all doors SHOULD BE watertight which highlights a manufacturing defect here. The stores response is that we can have 50% discount when buying a replacement door ! The cost to purchase this door is Ā£46.79 and yet they wonāt provide one free of charge within their inclusive warranty, which has caused this online complaint ā¦. Such poor customer service !! Their website claims the doors wonāt āpeel, bubble or unwrapā ! Absolutely appalling attitude given the fact the kitchen was in excess of 11k, is only a year old and comes with a 10 year warranty !! We have been advised to contact trading standards and will inform everyone to avoid purchasing based on the poor service we have received. From an extremely disappointed and very frustrated customer !

Richard in Jones & James Paignton,was very helpful in designing our new kitchen, and his knowledge when it comes to kichen units etc... is second to none. The quality of the kitchen Units is really good. However, Jonas & James ought to introduce fully assembled units rather than the flat pack units, which can be a challenge to assemble them, if you have a small kitchen. The customer service at Jonas & James were very rude and unhelpful, and for that reason, If I knew how rude and disrespectful the people behind the telephone at the customer service, I wouldn't have gone with them.
We purchased a kitchen last summer from the Newport branch and dealt with James and Riley and where we are happy to say, we had a positive experience liaising with them. Our kitchen was delivered and throughout the installation and where we needed to check a few things, either James or Riley were always helpful and dealt with the issue promptly. We ended up using a fitter who we knew and unfortunately the installation process wasn't a straight forward one - purely due to our installers lack of ability. Initially we were going to use the platform Protected Assured Installations (protect my install). Our experience with this option wasn't a particularly good one in as much as the named installers that we were provided with either, did not call us back or did not seem interested in carrying out the work. We wondered if Jonas and James should explore the possibility of having their own installers to provide the whole new kitchen package - from purchase to complete installation.
Our whole experience from start to finish was a positive one . We dealt with Ryan from the Stockton branch who was amazing . He did a fabulous job planning our kitchen and took on board all our requirements and nothing was too much trouble . The quality and finish is amazing . We are super happy with our beautiful kitchen and would 100% recommend Jonas James
Our new kitchen was delivered on 28th February 2022. 1 door was damaged and one door had the hinges on the wrong side. Spoke with Chris and was told we need to come to the showroom to order a new door. We were told it would be delivered within 24 hours. Even though we offered to collect from the suppliers, as they are less than a mile from our home. It is now 5th April and we are still waiting for the door. I have left Chris messages but with no response. having spent a considerable amount on the kitchen and not to have it completed 6 weeks later is very poor service. Will we ever get a response? Waiting 6 weeks is not acceptable.
I recently purchased a Jonas and James kitchen from Richard at the Paignton branch and I could not recommend them highly enough. From start to finish Richard answered any questions I had promptly, I was never left waiting for a response. The quality of the kitchen units is fantastic, my kitchen fitter even commented on it. The customer service was second to none and even when it turned out a cabinet had been damaged in transit, I received an entire new cabinet, rather than just parts, and it was delivered the next day ensuring the work was not held up. Great experience all round - I highly recommend!
Weāve been looking for a new kitchen for a while now, and Jonas and James cabinets blew the rest out of the water as far as Iām concerned. Most have a flimsy hardboard back panel, but these are solid 18mm boards. We did put Kane in Bristol through it a bit with design changes and tweaks galore, but he dealt with them all super efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. We did have a couple of missing parts and blemishes on doors to sort, but again it was all done efficiently and was resolved in no time. The one criticism I have is the protected install portal. At the time we were looking we only had the choice of one fitter, and itās a bit clunky to use, but the fitter that was offered was again efficient and got the kitchen fitted in 5 days.

We couldnāt be more happy with our new oak Jonas and James kitchen, it is really well made and looks amazing. We purchased our kitchen from the Leeds, Birstall store and Kirsty our designer couldnāt have been more helpful. She designed and adapted our kitchen to fit our needs while making some great suggestions. Everything was worked out from rip out of old kitchen, fitting of new kitchen, plumber, electricians and worktop fitting etc. Kirsty was always contactable and visited us on site several times before and during our kitchen fit which was a great help. Kirsty has a great working relationship with the kitchen fitters and knew exactly what they were capable of. There were minor issues with some of the appliances not working, however Kirsty was fantastic at getting these changed. I cannot fault our kitchen or the support we received before, during and after. We were really lucky to have this team who went above and beyond to ensure everything was right. Thank you so much.
While I'm happy with the actual quality of the kitchen the customer service team have totally wasted my time. Clearly I speak a different language ,emailing back and forth fir 2 days when all you want is a price for something ? They don't want to speak to you only email
