Sep 11,2024After searching everywhere imaginable in the North East for new sofas, I’d all but given up hope. But persuading my husband that I was sure the 5hr round trip to The Vintage Sofa Co would be worth it, off we set. Upon arrival, my first question was if they had a loo. I can confirm they do! A lady named Natalie chatted with us about what we were looking for. Natalie ran through the layout of the Mill and gave us space and time to browse. To describe it as an Aladdin’s cave which oozes a rich opulent vibe would be an understatement. Darting from one sofa to another I eventually got my eye on The Howard. Natalie appeared and was fantastic in humouring me with other sofas, swapping cushions around, explaining various options etc but my heart lay with The Howard. So she ran through combination options, fabric choices and prices. At no point did we feel under pressure. Instead we left with a couple of fabric swatches and all of the size dimensions. Natalie also sent me details of a chair which caught my eye. We did go ahead and order 2 Howard sofas and footstool a few days later via telephone but whilst on the phone to Natalie, I asked more advice around other possible chair matches, and as promised, was sent a link to the most likely match and a further swatch posted out - thanks to Natalie’s good eye we have now also ordered the chair. We’ve not take delivery of the order yet because we’re mid-renovation but thankfully The Vintage Sofa Co are able to hold our order for us until we’re ready to have them delivered. My problem is now, I keep looking at other pieces of furniture and wishing we had a bigger house!

Sep 10,2024Ordered two sofas today (one customised) through Natalie communication has been fantastic and she happily answered all my questions and went above and beyond in a professional but friendly manner I will do another review when I receive my order, but given the service so far I’m in no doubt my sofas will be great

Sep 10,2024From the moment we stepped into the shop, we knew this was our kind of place! The service we received was attentive and knowledgeable with no hard sales pitch. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming and even if you are not looking to buy it's just an excellent trio out! The company was very helpful- we ordered our furniture before we moved and held onto it for us several months while our house sale went through, with a guarantee of a full refund if our sale fell through. Our sofas were delivered the day after we moved in. Outstanding customer experience! We are back today to pick up some more bits....can't wait!

I actually made an error when purchasing one of the two sofas I wanted and one quick email rectified the problem next working day, with a credit to my account for the difference. Communication from the transport was excellent and arrived at the stated time.

Sep 09,2024The ordering process was very easy and constantly in touch with updates on delivery. Items arrived and there was no need to be apprehensive about buying blind. .the rugs are beautiful quality. Lovely piece of fine furnishing. Top class finish around the edges. Super soft under foot and very spongy like a new rug should be. They make my hallway look so elegant. Love them.

Sep 08,2024I visited the shop on the Saturday of August bank holiday weekend and was warmly welcomed by Natalie. The shop is an absolute treasure trove of furniture and home accessories, many of which I've not seen elsewhere. I was well worth the 5 hour round trip and I'm looking forward to taking delivery of my new sofa later this month.

Sep 08,2024I bought the Bugsby leopard print sofa which I absolutely love! The delivery was so quick and efficient. When it came I decided I wanted the footstool to go with it so called the store to check if they had one in stock. The man I spoke to was really helpful and told me they did so we decided to visit the store. The welcome we received was amazing the young lady who delt with us was fantastic and her mum Katy (the owner) was so lovely offering us refreshments. We we're in a bit of a hurry so she gave us coffee and cake to takeaway. The shop is a little gem and I only wish I had longer to look around. We will definitely be back 🙂

Sep 08,2024We have bought a few items from Vintage Sofa Company and each one has been amazing quality. Our sofa, armchair, footstool, rug and chandelier in our living room are all beautiful. The fact that the furniture is all locally made is a huge plus. We’d much rather give small businesses our support. Although it takes us over an hour to get to the shop, we have even been just for the trip out because the location is fabulous and we could spend hours looking round the showroom! There are so many amazing treasures dotted around, we could literally buy everything in there! In fact, our living room looks like a mini Vintage Sofa Company display 😂 The team, which is mainly a family affair, are so kind and welcoming and incredibly helpful. The coffee and cake is always a lovely treat after the drive, whoever the baker is, you’re very good! We will 100% be back to see what our next addition to our home will be and we can’t wait to see the new items they have in store

Sep 07,2024We made the trip to visit The vintage sofa company as we had been to Leicester for work. We decided to call in on our way back home to South Shields. So quite a journey but so so worth it ! We received such a warm welcome with coffee and cakes. We were taken straight to see the tetrad Oskar leather sofa I had fallen in love with. Natalie explained the history of the sofa, the build quality, the antiquing of the leather and answered all of our questions. We were so impressed and delighted to order a beautiful 4 seater for our new home. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them online and I’ve recommended them to family and friends who are needing some new furniture. Such a lovely experience. Felt really special. A hidden gem with extra sparkle.

Sep 06,2024From visiting Vintage Sofa Company’s show mill last year, I knew one of their beautiful sofas would end up in our cottage snug. For us, it was the Oskar in a vibrant and stunning marmalade colour that won our hearts. It is perfect against our floral mural backdrop. Our renovation ran behind but this was no problem for Vintage Sofa Company who kindly stored our sofa until we were ready to take delivery. We couldn’t fault the service from start to finish so as soon as phase 2 of our build is ready, we will be back for more beautiful sofas! Thank you Vintage Sofa Company!
