Something is very wrong with this company. Over a few dozen times I've tried with wayfair to just be utterly disappointed constantly. Fyi I was never sent pripduct and they wouldn't let me just change the color since waiting four months for an all of a sudden it was out of stock. My issue was NOT resolved!! They have to reply to save face. Seriosly, they have the worst customer service, unorganized management, high turnover, disgruntled employees and a bad system. I waited MONTHS for an item that was on backorder. Agents were incredibly rude with bad attitudes and very aggressive in tone. Had I not remembered to cancel, they'd for sure keep my hundreds and never notify me that they were not sending product. I'm done with headaches when shopping should be easy and fun. Wayfair is way NOT fair to customers and it's a shame that whomever is running this company is clearly lackluster in operations, product, and service.
UPDATE: Wayfair wanted more details so they could review the problem. They then gave the answer below. What a joke. I stand by my review. Also, just fyi, I found a bed on AllModern.com that I was going to buy, then found out that Wayfair owns AllModern and a couple other online stores. I don’t care how much I like it; if it’s from Wayfair or any other subsidiaries of that company, I won’t buy it. So that’s it. That’s the end of my Wayfair nightmare. ————- If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. I have bought a LOT of furniture and household items from Wayfair throughout the last 10 years, and lately have received subpar items. The last item was a canopy bed, and this review is for that. When I received it, I knew there had to be parts missing as the box was small, so I called CS and the rep told me that they had received a lot of complaints about the item, but they were telling customers to open it and put it together and see if it was okay. Well, it was def smaller than pictured, and did have a few small missing parts, but trying to get any results from Wayfair was like pulling teeth, so I finished putting it together but the bed is SO cheap looking and not very sturdy. I tried to make it work, but it is awful. I contacted CS, they assigned a "resolution number" and specific person (Sam) to address the problems. I asked if they would just give me a % off a new bed if they wouldn't let me return it, pointing out that I've been a customer for over 10 years. Sam asked me to send pics, which I argued wouldn't help show the unsteadiness of it, but he asked me to send pics again, so I did and included a video showing how the bed moves. He didn't even address the issue, just sent me an email saying the claim was denied and the resolution closed. Well, Wayfair, so is my account.
Purchased an item that needed ?assembly scheduled a day and time. Got a text the day prior from Brian conforming 5pm Tuesday 22nd. By 7pm NO SHOW. NO CALL. NO TEXT. Can't recommend Wayfair's 4th scheduled appointment was a success. They sent a Wayfair Service Pro to do the assembly. He did show up on time.
That was a horrible experience. They do not let us know in advance that is a third party delivery company. Fedex set a delivery date to Sunday I leave in a condo and as like most condo cannot deliver on weekend, Wayfair told me that I had to deal direct with them and gave me a number. That number did not give me an option to reschedule or to speak with/a human being. When I called the next day my bed was already in the truck and would be delivered in that day nobody told me and of course did not have anyone at home and they left the huge package downstairs and I have to bring up to my apt myself. They set up the assembly for the next Monday. Nobody should up and I missed a day of work. I had to call them to find out what happened and set another date. Wayfair is okay to purchase small items but never a big items like furniture. They are NOT responsible for anything and they do not care.
Bought a popcorn maker and upon opening up and taking it out of the box the switch was broken. So it (obviously) was never used. Wayfair absolutely refused to issue a return label and told us to deal with the manufacturer! They said they would follow up every step of the way lol. Then get a follow up email saying they cannot contact the manufacturer, I have bought numerous goods from Wayfair and was considering buying a rather expensive shed. I have now cancelled my account and will never buy from them again. They lost a good customer over a 39 dollar post popcorn maker!
I paid top dollars for chairs I thought looked nice. However, the quality wasn’t what I expected. And, the chairs were dirty, red markings all over the chairs. I took photos uploaded and they won’t give me a return. Instead I was asked to video myself trying to clean up the chairs. Why should I clean up somebody else mess? Also, why did you send me dirty, repackaged chairs? The box was torn up and the items appeared as if it was repacked. It didn’t arrive new. Anyway, two weeks in Wayfair resolution department wont return my calls, won’t address my issue and told me to pay for return. I will never, ever shop wayfair. How come Amazon has better products, cheaper prices and ship new items that can be easily returned? Weak, wacky wayfair, never will I shop again with you!!!!!!
I made two orders in the last 2 weeks. First order arrived with completely wrong item (110lbs furniture) and they asked me to carry it to FedEx and ship it back to them when I told them I’m 9 months pregnant. Second order was no where to be found. I don’t know if they changed management or something. Just really bad service
The desk I bought from Wayfair through the seller "InboxZero" problems with it. It is advertised with a 1-year warranty, Wayfair refuses to help me because I purchased it over 30 days ago. I understand Wayfair won't help, so I asked them to help me locate the manufacturer because there is no information on them on the internet and on the owner's manual. They say that they cannot find anything on the manufacturer!! They are still selling the same desk with the same 1 year warranty and Wayfair has no idea who these people are!! I think I will never ever purchase anything from Wayfair - but how do you think I can find a resolution? I am left with a problematic product with months of warranty remaining. Honestly this whole thing feels like a huge scam only a big company like Wayfair could pull off successfully!
Update. Wayfair contacted me in response to my complaint with the BBB, and will replace the item at no charge. The second person I spoke with, Tyler, provided the customer service that was lacking at my first contact. Wayfair sent me a canvas of a wheat field at sunset instead of an art deco dancer. I was redoing the room it was to hang in, so I left it in the carton until the room was done. I sent them a picture of the canvas still in the wrapping, sitting in front of the box. Since it was over thirty days, Wayfair refuses to correct THEIR mistake, and told me I am stuck with a $137 picture I hate, while they keep my money. Perhaps the reason they are losing customers has nothing to do with the housing market, and everything to do with their customer service! And reporting it on "My Account" is what I already did.
I Purchased a day ago the dash 8 inch heart shaped waffle maker. I wanna share this with all the customers that plan to buy one in the front of the unit. It has a latch. Do not use that latch to close the waffle maker when making waffles because that will expand when the waffle is cooking and it could pop up or break off You keep that in an unlocked position leaning up against the bottom half of the waffle maker itself that latch is only used for upright storage. Thank you. The item is awesome. I love it if you love hearts like I do you will love this waffle maker.
Bough a mirror from this company just because they advertised the speedy delivery. The date of delivery was confirmed at checkout but the item arrived 2 days late when I no longer needed it. ( bough from other place). I even tried to cancel the order once I was it's not even shipped by the promised delivery date. Wayfair charged me $15 for return of the item.
DON'T BUY FROM WAYFAIR!!!! 3 HUGE boxes were left unattended! They arrived 3 days late. I asked for a call upon delivery and waited. No call. I will NEVER order from Wayfair again!!!! I've been a customer for 8 years... BYE BYE! Dr. P.
I got my ‘shed’ fast but it was in bad shape not able to be built I called and thought they were making it good but I guess Im out a shed and 700 dollars
Shipping is quick, but what you’re delivered is surprisingly bad. Might as well be ordering from Wish, because that’s the quality you get except they charge you premium prices. The parts a flimsy, hardware is missing, and don’t be surprised if you receive a something with a missing leg to stand on or parts to hold it together. To really rub salt into your wound, they happily deduct $75 dollars from your refund for the pleasure of returning their crappy items using fancy shipping methods. (to make sure the crap doesn’t get an imperfection I’m sure) UPDATE: Thanks for the 10% OFF coupon. It’s something. (Yeah that was an automatic delete from my inbox, I get the same level of discounts as spam all the time, but thanks for trying to barely cover tax on the next purchase, soo sorry)
I attempted to return an item that did not match the description that appeared under the image of the item on the company's website. Initially, the return was approved, but I was told that I "might" be responsible for return shipping. I questioned this, arguing that the source of the problem was not MY mistake but the company's inaccurate description of the item, so why should I pay for return shipping. Once the discussion centered on the issue of shipping cost, the agent then began to argue that the item was exactly as it was described on the website. And therefore I had no basis for returning the item. BTW, the item was a decorative pillow that was described as cranberry but was definitely not deep red but mauve or dusty rose. Ultimately, the agent explained that the reason for placing the return shipping cost on my shoulders was to cover Wayfair's "operating expenses." The company may want to remove the word "fair" from its name.
Returning damaged merchandise I received is a challenge. What a joke. I can't do a review with Wayfair because I never created an account. I really like what I ordered BUT I do not want to receive it damaged again so I'm thinking about a refund now.
Wayfair sucks when it comes to the delivery services. I’m a woman that is 64 years old, 4.11 125 lb. They had my stuff delivered, and it was delivered to the side of my garage when it should’ve been delivered to the front of my house on my porch. Each of the boxes weigh about 65 to 70 pounds and I have to find a way to lift up those boxes to put them in my garage. I didn’t want them in my garage because I didn’t have space in there. When I called customer service to tell him, they can take the stuff back because it’s will be easier for me if they take them back, then for me to lift them up and hurt myself. She told me I have to pay $1200 for them to take it back. Then she wants me to call UPS or whatever company she said that delivered to me and complain. They need to call that company that they hired to do deliveries for them and complain to them because they’re not doing their job right they hired them not me. I will not buy nothing from them again and for all the heavy lifting that I had to do by myself yesterday I should’ve been reimburse some of my money. I don’t want your 10 % off thank you. When I was lifting those boxes up by myself to put in the garage, one of them fell on my motor scooter and it broke the back of it, now I have to replace it. They cost $35 to replace it. I’m 64 years old 130 pound lifting up those boxes that are between 65 to 70 pounds. I could barely move the next day.
Wayfair u suck on the customer service. Shipping on this took almost 3 months. It arrived today after ur customer service rep said it could b delivered on a friday. The young men who brought the chair were super nice and helpful. The company they work for are asses. Sucky customer service. U both need to step up with the service. Or u will loose customers.
I am only giving the 3 stars because the rest of my order was a good experience. That is the extent of my positivity! I wish the rest was a positive review but it's not! Being in the sales and service industry myself, I would never do someone the way they did me! I ordered a cabinet for my new home and with anticipation and excitement I received it a week later. Only to find that a supporting side wall was broken and missing hardware. When I contacted them back I received a condolence and directions to send it back for a replacement. Do I want a broken cabinet? No! But it's a 100 lbs package and I am small build with MS and have not the means or strength to repackage and carry it to UPS. They then suggested another option. They would send me another, I take all the prices I needed wrap the box back up and send that back! Wait... what? No! Then they told me their final solution is to give me 25% credit for the trouble and keep the broken cabinet. OMG! So let me get this right, I get a credit of $86 for a $386 unusable cabinet? This is ludicrous! I have never been treated so disrespectfully from a company.

Oct 25,2024Prices may seem like slightly good deals but receiving items promised by specific delivery dates is irrelevant to this company. Customer service does nothing to fix issues. Was promised a specific delivery date, they never shipped the item and then told me I could still get my purchase in time if I paid them $71.99 for expedited shipping. Will NEVER buy another thing from them
