Deliciously balanced meals that will keep your cat running to the bowl everytime.
My sweet angel of a cat died from kidney disease from eating whiskas kibbles. Please, if you value your cat's life feed her raw chicken necks or wet food. Kibbles, sooner or later, will cause a lethal disease. Now it's too late to do anything, it was too late and my poor baby had to be euthanized💔
I contacted customer services about a box of whiskers food I bought that my two cats won’t touch, this is extremely unlike them, and I explained that I bought more food and they were fine with that box, so maybe there was an issue with the former box of food. They just fobbed me off and said they won’t refund because I don’t have a receipt, but I literally gave them everything they asked for including pictures, the product number, expiry date etc. No one takes receipts at the supermarket anymore, it’s bad for the environment. We won’t be using whiskers again because of this customer services experience and because there’s obviously an issue with the food that they aren’t taking seriously. I’m not risking my cats health.
The disgusting smell of Whiskers cat food is unbearable. Not only are you paying more for less but an abominable smell comes with it.
I have 6 cats and they were the biggest fans of whiskas. 2 of my cats will only eat jelly. Apart from noticing the price going up and the portions are smaller, I also noticed not much meat in the gravy one and mostly this dark juice that doesn't even smell nice anymore. My cats are smelling it and walking away. The ones outside that are younger were eating it but vomiting and crying and licking their bums like it was burning them after. Now they won't eat it either. My cats are falling sick. I have used whiskas for years but now I am looking for a new one as even Felix have seemed to change their recipe and size. I don't get why all these companies are doing this. Will never buy whiskas again. For dry food I buy 20kg bags of Friskies and I am happy with that. I've used it for years but I need a new wet food very fast.
Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased Whiskas dry food for all three cats. Blood in stools, runny stools and three unwell cats, after numerous visits to the vet the we worked it out the food. changed to a different brand and gets a lot better and well. I wish I can read all the other cases before my 2 x 7kg bags
Do not feed your cat Whiskas. It made our cat extremely ill, and our cat spent two days at the vets and took 5 days to recover due to this food being bad quality It contains very little meat and protein, and high amounts of preservatives (according to Cats.com unbiased Whiskas Cat Food Review, 2024)
My Cats were eating another brand of Car food for years then all of a sudden stopped eating it. Tummy upsets etc. Whiskas looked good. Packaging changed. Duo or Chefs choice. I put my Cats on whiskas. Brilliant they loved it. Now 10 Months later same problem. Even my greedy cat is not finishing his dinner and the pouches only 85g. For the last 2 weeks 5 bowls with food left in them. I have 5 Cats. When I smell the food it's awful and definitely not that bad a few Months ago. I've now got to find another brand. Cat food isn't cheap so why are the recipes smelling cheap. It's disgusting.
I have a couple of 8 year old cats, never had a problem with their appetites or enthusiasm for Whiskas sachets before this year. A couple of months ago things started to go wrong, and this week I was seriously going to take them to the vets to check out thyroid ( constantly hungry but no weight gain) and dementia ( confusion, crying for food, refusing to eat when it’s put down, trying to get in the fridge whenever I opened the door) the constant crying has driven us bonkers. We’ve put more & more food down and then thrown it away. We have probably doubled what we were spending. When I pushed the contents down in an unopened sachet there was less than half in the damn thing, didn’t matter because the cats refused to eat it anyway. Yesterday I bought a box of Sheba sachets that are the same price as Whiskas and the problems seem to have evaporated. What have Whiskas been up to ? Furious with them. At least we will have a quiet Christmas now 🥵
I ran out of the Paws dry cat food that I normally use and bought some Whiskas dry cat food to tide me over. The difference was very noticeable. Our cat ate so much more than previously. He had put on weight on Harringtons dry cat food that we used to give him and was struggling to get up the stairs. I then researched cat food on the internet and realized that cats should NOT be given carbohydrate. It is a scandal that cat food manufacturers are selling cat food laden with carbs., which causes addiction to carbohydrate, excess weight and likelihood of diabetes. In fact very similar to the problems in the human population. Looking at the ingredients of Whiskas, carbohydrate is listed first (no percentage given) but the first ingredient given is the largest quantity in the product, meaning that there is more carbohydrate than meat. For your cats' sake, please look at the ingredients, and choose one that is the highest in PROTEIN, which is what cats should have. Think of the big cats in the wild. Our cat lost weight when I changed his diet to Applaws which has 80% protein, and although it is more expensive, he eats so much less.
Yet another company jumping on the band wagon treating customers as if they are stupid whilst ripping them off, by reducing the pouch size. Not enough in one 85g pouch and too much by opening two pouches. This increases the cost by having wasted food and paying for all the more packaging. Well done whiskas, you have cost yourself another lost customer.
I have stopped buying Whiskas since they reduced the portion size to 85 gram sachets. One portion is not enough to feed my cats, they are still hungry. I will not be buying Whiskas again as its false economy. I have changed to another popular brand as they still sell 100 gram portions. As far as I am concerned its just another example of companies exploiting the cost of living crisis. Pure greed. Shame on you Whiskas.
I have had my kitten Ellie since she was 7 weeks old. She is now 16 week's old. I have tried her on a couple brands of kitchen food, but she just loves wiskers kitten food. She is a snowy bengal Russian blue.
i only wish the rate your experience had a minus symbol on here,i,m not even bothered about the amount in the sachets its more about the vile contents.i have bought whiskas for years and my cats have never had a problem with it but now none of them will eat it, its stinks as if it has gone off..so now have gone onto shieba and they,re quite happy again, even the ferral cats are leaving it.a friends cat ended up at the vets with vomiting to which she ended up with a hefty vets bill until i told her what the problem was.
My cat, Miu Miu, was impatiently waiting for the packet of food from Whiskas with chicken. As it turned out, it was delicious. The experience so far, the one with the sample from Whiskas, proved to me that my cat has become a fan of the brand with chicken. Long live Whiskas with chickens!
Absolutely disgusting smell! The last 6 months we've noticed a horrid smell after just a few hours if thrown away. We thought it was due to the hot weather but now the temperature is dropping, this is not the case! The smell is like something has died! The change in mucky ingredients is obviously contributing to the awful and disgusting smell. We will not be buying whiskas products anymore. We've got two beautiful cats, and we feel guilty for feeding them this disgusting filth for the last few months! Shame on you!
we have purchased Whiskas cat food for years the reduction in there pouches weight and the price increase made it a double increase my cat was always crying for more food he went from eating 3 pouches to 4 and sometimes five along with biscuits, i complained to them they said that was what was recommended 85 grams a feed. we purchased a 80 pack but he would not touch it then my wife said to me that cat food smells awful i tried the local stray cat and he wont eat it either i went out and purchased some Felix which usually he wont eat he eat that i tried to alternate it soon as i put the Whiskas down he walked away, very poor quality i will not be purchasing any more whiskas it to expensive to waste
My cat is refusing to eat Whiskas. It’s such a shame, he used to love it. He sniffs it and walks away, I just put it in the bin to get rid of the smell. I’m stuck with 3 boxes of the smelly muck, and so I’m not happy either.
ive used whiskas for awhile however for the past 4 months I've been buying whiskas my cats eat it but never it all I've also been noticing it's been smelling my whole house downstairs at first I put it to the weather being warm and me buying in bulk however after starting fresh buying fresh cat food and the weather dropping in temperature the cat food still stinks to the point it smells like rotting food I'm changing brands
Thought my 15 year old cat was getting dementia, constantly hungry and crying for food. Upped his daily Whiskas intake due to sneaky 85g pouches...but the recipe must have changed too. Gone on to Harrington's 3x 85g pouches per day = happy cat. Thank goodness his yowling was driving me crazy.
