Everything was smooth sailing, until our vendor tried to pull out 3 weeks prior to completion, completely out of their control. Both were extremely helpful, reassuring and joined together to get the sale over the line. We would not have completed our purchase without them. We would like to thank Danielle Noon and Angela Howard from Ormskirk office for handling our case very professionally and with care. They always have time to calmly explain everything in detail and what the next steps in the process will be. We were not in a chain and the whole process of buying a house from acceptance of our offer to completion day lasted 8 weeks. Aug 13,2022One of the things about working with any solicitors, or any service for that matter, is knowing you aren't the only customer they're dealing with. Conveyance is almost always going to be a long process as a million and one things can cause a delay, and delays can be with any number of parties. Inevitably you need to be keeping up to date on things to help move things along at times. Fortunately, with Woodward we found the team always happy to provide an update, to explain what things meant when we weren't sure, and when momentum built up towards the end of the process to be helping ensure things got done in time. Danielle Noon and Angela Howard were assigned to our conveyance, with all kinds of weird quirks in the sale and purchase to account for. Personally, I am the sort of person who frets about the details, but both Angela and Danielle would always put my mind at ease, explain things, and provide clear helpful advice. When speaking to them they didn't rush you and made you feel like they had time to look at your queries in detail, something greatly appreciated and hugely valuable when dealing with something like a buying or selling your home! They were a pleasure to work with and I would readily recommend Woodward Solicitors.

Aug 09,2022I've used Woodward Wigan office on a previous occasion and was very satisfied with the result which was why I made the mistake of using them again. The problem is this time my conveyancing case was handled by the Ormskirk office. They seem incapable of explaining a simple contract to me and wanted to charge me over two hundred pounds an hour plus vat to answer my queries. This is despite the fact that their website states they will explain all legal documents as part of the service. Very disappointing. The Wigan office is great though. Just avoid the Ormskirk office.
