Oct 03,2023I'd give them zero stars but it's not an option. They take at least two days to respond to any contact with them unless you continually hound them. Generally takes 1-2 weeks from start to finish to resolve a claim. Their system works like car insurance, in that you have to get a quote from a repair vendor and submit it for approval before repairs can take place. So imagine your screen breaking and you can't use your phone for a week or two. Unless you either have an old phone that still works or want to go buy a new phone to have as a backup (it's stupid to have to do this, but it's what I've had to do), their service is basically useless. When I was a VZW customer and has Assurion as my insurance vendor, their claims were handled within 24-48 hours. Invariably when I DID have issues, it was on a vacation, but never had to worry because I'd have a replacement phone the next day. Downside was that the cost was much higher, as was the deductible. But then I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

You could walk into any repair shop after making a claim, get the device fixed, and send the total amount billed to Worth Ave Group and me on your merry way. Due to changes they made to their procedures, I can no longer recommend this service to anybody wishing to purchase it. After making a claim, I was required to get an invoice from the repair shop prior to them accepting my claim: the problem is, major repair shops like ubreakifix, who fix Android phones like Samsung and Google, will not do this for you at all. Trust me, I've tried. I've even tried speaking to the Worth Ave Group customer support and was sternly told that I could either send my phone in through the mail (who knows how long that would take), or I'd need to follow their exact guidelines in order to do it through a repair shop Instead of walking in and out of a repair shop as I had in the past, instead I spent multiple hours of my time manually browsing and searching for a locally owned repair shop that would write an invoice for me, then had to talk with the repair shop on the phone and explain to them what I needed from them to write down onto a quote / invoice. After much back and forth between 4 different repair shops, one finally agreed. Since their policy also requires that it be PHYSICALLY inspected, I drove 30 minutes out of my way to have it inspected, got the invoice, drove 30 minutes back, and then was able to finally submit my claim, which may or may not even be accepted by the insurance adjuster. Then after it gets approved, I have to DRIVE BACK (30 mins each way), and get it repaired. Then I have to do it again, so that's 3 TRIPS to the repair shop (3 hours driving) instead of 2. This is an absolute, complete waste of my time and something I will never have to experience again, as I will not be renewing my policy here for the 5th year, or recommending it to people as I have been in the past. Do yourself a favor and buy an Asurion policy instead to cover yourself, for a Google Pixel 7 it's actually cheaper than Worth Ave Group for 2 years of warranty. Save yourself hours of work that you're not getting paid for. TL;DR do not purchase a warranty from this company unless you want to get run through the wringer trying to find a local repair shop that will write you a very specific invoice, emphasizing that prolific repair shops like ubreakifix WILL NOT do this for you. Expect about 3 trips (minimum) to the repair shop before the issue with your phone will be fully resolved
