May 02,2024Togitsuna carving tools I ordered through Zenmarket from Woodlike Matsumura are probably the highest quality carving tools I ever held in my hands. I love them, so sharp and comfortable, I can 100% recommend this brand for all mokuhanga and generally relief printmakers, as well as woodworkers. They were packaged very safely and delivery didn’t take too long (the longest part was actually customs on my end). When it comes to Zenmarket, my tools were ordered fast and I got all the info and documents I needed. I’m extremely happy.

May 02,2024I managed to get some things I was trying to find for ages but everywhere else it was for ridiculous amounts, but with ZenMarket I got it for much cheaper along with alot of other things! They were super prompt on when one item was late to the warehouse and refunded it when it was clear it wouldn't be shipped so I got the item from a different mercari seller, and the rest was smooth sailing from there! I definitely recommend ZenMarket if you're looking for a good proxy service to buy stuff from Japan without being scalped with all the costs and fees up front from the getgo!

May 02,2024Great job as usual, this is my 6th delivery. Very prompt and exceptionally well packaged, which is where my only gripe comes in. All the plastic is very difficult to dispose of here, as we have no soft plastic recycling anymore. Not that I see myself as a greenie, but it would be fantastic if you could explore recycled paper / cardboard packaging instead of all the bubble wrap.

May 02,2024Can't be trusted. I recieved my item incomplete and asked Zen Market to help. They wanted me to pay $325 to return a 20kg item to Japan to recieve a $50 refund on a $400 item. Don't depend on the to assist if anything goes wrong. I'm stuck with an item that is missing pieces that were shown in the listing.

They prompt you at every important stage, give you options, and even off the cuff queries are answered quickly. I purchase fragile goods and packaging has always been first class. Highly recommended.

May 02,2024I've used ZenMarket a handful of times now, it's been smooth and straightforward each time. Make sure to get tracked shipping if you have absolutely any concerns about your package. They always package up my items very safely and I have not had any issues with items arriving damaged.

May 02,2024I've ordered over 50 packages with ZenMarket now. My most recent packages were a couple posters and a box of plush. They were both securely packed. The posters were shipped in a very sturdy, thick tube. Packing was pretty quick, too, I think it only took a couple days for both of them. My complaints - 1) I asked support a general question about shipping posters with plush and their answer was very unhelpful. A generic "please use the shipping calculator" answer, no effort to provide any advice for my shipping situation. 2) Mercari automatic purchases are inconsistent. I had three <5000 JPY items in a row all fail to be automatically purchased despite the sellers having good feedback and the listings all saying immediate purchase was OK. Manual purchase times varied from ~1 hour to over 12 hours later. You could easily miss out on a rare item with these purchase delays. 3) I'm also not enjoying the new Loyalty Program. I buy a lot of low value collectibles (I often order 10+ at a time), but because my items aren't expensive enough, it's difficult to increase my tier. It feels bad to use ZenMarket to get so many items over the years only to be rewarded with a low loyalty tier, while someone else buys a single expensive item and gets better perks right away. Overall buying with ZenMarket is a fine experience, nothing special but nothing terrible either. These days, I buy most of my Japanese merch via other proxies that have both much faster purchase speeds and better credit systems. MAY 4 EDIT: Just tried to buy a <3000 JPY acrylic stand on Mercari and once again, the system did not automatically purchase it. Waited 30 minutes, still no purchase. As it was a rare item and other buyers were inquiring, I sent a request to a different proxy... and they purchased it under 10 minutes. Lowering to 3 stars because of these persistent Mercari issues
