Having had terrible experiences with car rental companies in the USA and Europe over the last 5yrs (overcharging, hidden excesses, bad service, lengthy check in processes) my recent experience booking with Zest has reinstated my trust that there is indeed one car rental company that provides the best customer experience and cost effective rental options. From now on I will only book car hire with Zest.

Oct 18,2024Zest are always easy to deal with. Website is straight forward and customer service easy to deal with. After a bad experience with another rental company in the Algarve, i discovered Zest ( formerly Economy Car Hire) They use a number of car hire people in Faro. I have found Drive 4 Fun and Masterkings very good to deal with. Both used by Zest.

Oct 18,2024Zest Car rental is an excellent company with a VERY helpful UK based call centre. I had to change the time of taking hire car back, after I had booked, and the people in Zest office could not have been more helpful. I continue to use Zest due to very competitive prices, free second driver, UK call centre and very good add on insurance scheme. Good service and good value.

Oct 18,2024Second time I’ve used Zest. They find really good deals and give the smaller rental companies a chance. It means I could upgrade the car and it was still miles cheaper than the big guns. Also when I have had questions, Zest have been very quick to reply (with UK staff, who don’t need things spelling out like an outsourced overseas office would).

Full insurance was included so I had no up sell when collecting the vehicle .. I would use again without doubt when booking my next hire car .

Knowing that I could safely decline the multitude of “essential” insurance add-ons that every car hire company try to push as my cover through Zest provided all that I required was a great relief. In fact, as soon as I pointed out to the company that I had arranged everything through Zest the hard sell stopped.

Oct 21,2024Truly amazing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival at Lisbon Airport there was someone waiting for us after we collected our luggage, the car was literally within walking distance out the front doors of the terminal and less than 50ft. All our paperwork was completed and we drove away in less than 10 minutes. At the end of our vacation 26 days later we needed to extend the rental for an additional day. Talked to Maria in Faro on the phone and she handled everything 15 minutes later I received all the paperwork electronically as was set. When returning to Lisbon Airport had someone waiting in the return area, gathered our baggage and headed to the checkin counter for our flight. This was by far the easiest rental I’ve ever had in 20 years of international European vacations. Our 3 month rental in January is with Master Kings and while Amoita says that is also a good company there’s a shuttle bus involved. I will be trying to change this as I’m sure there’s nothing easier that Zest and Amoita. If you’re traveling do yourself a favor and look into Zest and Amoita. Thank you David Hostetler
