Oct 13,2024I usually hate renting a car, I find it a stressful experience. Being at the customer service desk of some obscure rental company in a foreign country, being at the mercy of someone who is trained to push extra insurance onto me or who charges me big money on return of the car for tiny scratches that have been there all along normally gives me the feeling of being out there in the wild west - on my own! But to my pleasant surprise things were different this time. This was my first time dealing with Zest and for a change, renting was a pleasant experience. I was told from the start what to expect, the amount that would be blocked as a deposit, the rental procedure incl. clear instructions on where to pick up the car and what to do if the flight was delayed. And - very important to me - I knew there was 24-hour phone support available in case something went wrong. It wasn't needed this time but knowing that someone would pick up the phone in case of trouble was very reassuring. So it was all plain sailing, the rental company Centauro in Rome Fiumicino handed me a very decent car and professionally handled everything. They even answered their phone (in English!), when my flight was indeed delayed and when I needed advise on driving restrictions in Rome. This rental experience went some way to convince me that there are decent and customer-focused operators around I will certainly deal with Zest again, thank you!

Oct 12,2024They are a broker rather than a car hire company but found them very good. Website clear with good information and easy to use. Pricing competitive and they provided me with a good car hire company when I was in Portugal. I would use again if abroad.

Oct 12,2024No hassle hire with Zest/EPI. Reasonable price, short wait for shuttle bus to/from Airport with less than 5 min journey to/from their Faro Airport office. Almost new Seat Arona car this time around with Auto box and was nice to drive. Cross border fees into Spain more reasonable than some hire companies, ditto additional driver.

Oct 11,2024No problems in sorting out our online booking. Two cars were waiting for us when we arrived at the airport. Quick rundown of usage and handover of paperwork and then we were ready to start our holiday. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Our return to the airport a week later was just as efficient. Asked if everything had been ok, helped unload our luggage and after a quick check around the vehicle we were ready to depart. Wished us a safe journey home. All in all a very easy process. We will definitely be using Zest again.

Oct 11,2024Hired a car in Kefalonia via Zest which is the company we normally use when hiring a car abroad. The car ordered was a Nissan Micra automatic or equivalent. When we got to the car hire premises in Kefalonia we were offered a choice between a Kia (can't remember the model) or a Volkswagen Polo. We chose the Volkswagen which was in excellent condition and only had only 10,000 kilometres on the clock. We were very pleased because this was much better than a Nissan Micra. The local company was Alma and the staff were very helpful.

Oct 10,2024Thought I had booked a car at 250 pounds, then received email saying they were waiting for confirmation from the hire car company. Waited several days and status stayed at Pending, before contacting them. They then contacted the actual car hire company to find that car wasn't actualy available. Ended up speaking to a very helpful person at Zest, who was very apologetic but end result was having to pay another 130 pounds for similar car which is not a great experience hence the 1 star review. Have read the response from Zest Car Rental - and my feelings are the same as all the other 1 star reviewers. Zest are simply a broker and take no responsibility at all for customer service as it is always the car hire companies fault. If it works great, if it doens't don't expect any customer service from Zest, just a stock "not our fault, read the small print" response.

A refreshing change to my experiences with previous hire car brokers. I was delighted with the quality of the car I received and the efficiency of the chosen provider.
