Oct 16,2024Used ZEST for the first time and was very reassured of the information provided on their website. The hire company we collected our car from gave us a little cause for concern as they did not have a conventional collection counter at the airport in Marrakech. The car condition was satisfactory but we had make sure we pointed out all the existing scuffs, marks and bumps on the car on the paperwork. We dealt with the agent at the far end of the airport car park. I guess this is how things are done in Morocco when hiring cheap. Overall the car was good and suited our needs. Would use Zest again with the excess insurance cover for peace of mind.

Oct 15,2024The Zest prices were competitive and the booking process was easy BUT that's where the positives end. I experienced a shockingly aggressive and intimidating check-in experience at Pisa airport (Autovia), was assigned a car that was parked in a far corner, hemmed in by 4 other cars (taking an Autovia guy 12 manoeuvres to remove) and now my £135 claim for tow truck charges, with Zest's Top Up provider (Orchard), has been turned down - essentially because the car was unharmed, having been partially stuck in a storm gulley in pouring rain. I have been offered a pathetic 5% off a future booking, wasted £29.75 on the top-up policy and have to swallow the £135 tow truck charge.

Oct 15,2024We're still waiting after 3 months for insurance settlement after paying for the premium Top Up insurance package. We were told that the claim should be processed within days but depsite many conversations and reassurances, we are still waiting. Zest have really let themselves down here - up until we had the littel accident, and through the ealry claims process they were great. Sadly, cannot recomme3nd and will be unwilling to use them again.

Oct 14,2024Used Zest for first time to rent a car from Catania Airport in Sicily. Had never used a rental broker/agent before either, always booking direct with rental companies. Zest offered a range of rental companies to choose from, at prices more competitive than Avis, who I usually use. I went with Locauto who I hadn’t heard of but who are local agents for Alamo, from whom I have rented before with no issues. All went well with efficient check in, free vehicle upgrade, good deal on fuel and efficient return with no issues over damage claimed etc. I will definitely use Zest again, and though I had no issues with the hire company, other travellers tell me Zest are excellent at sorting things out if things go wrong.
