Alexandria’s mission is to make libraries as important today as they were 40 years ago. Libraries are not “dead” and will never be. Our goal is to give librarians the tools to share and promote their resources. The first version of Alexandria was released in 1990. Alexandria itself has continued to be updated and enhanced for over 20 years, which is pretty amazing in the technology and software industry.
As the only staff person in a busy school library, I find Alexandria to be reliable and functional. I especially like how easy it is to catalog new materials using this software. My only criticism is with the number of reports Alexandria has available. It can be very difficult to find reports that I need. It seems like there could be a set of essential reports that most school librarians use regularly that are set apart from the long lists and categories of reports.
The customer support is very efficient and helpful.
I enjoy using Alexandria and it works well for our school system! There are times it is a bit complex, but that is more of an issue for me with learning how to use the program than anything. I've had good support when I've asked for assistance.

We have used this software for the past 3 years, it is user friendly and makes cataloging books very easy.
Tech support is good and features of the software are decent. Would like more flexible report options (like a Crystal Reports type interface), but for the most part I am able to find what I need.

I've worked with Alexandria for approximately three years. Overall, I am a very happy customer. Sure, there are things I wish were easier or available that aren't, but anytime Nicole (my Library Assistant) or I have had a question, Alexandria has been FANTASTIC about helping. They answer their calls so we can talk directly to a person, and they take their time to assist us. I feel like they value us as their customers.
We are a very small school. What I like about our program is the cost, reliability, and the customer service. When I was learning how to work the program they were great to give me lessons. The program always works the way it should but the few time tech people messed it up changing it to a new computer they helped me fix it quickly. I would suggest the tech person calls customer service before they transfer the program.
This was all new to me just a couple of years ago. I found it easy to use, a great fit for my job and simple to explain to my parent volunteers. The reports are helpful and useful and I can add and delete students quickly.
I have been using Alexandria for 25 years and it is a good product. It's fast, mostly user friendly and offers a variety of reports. Good customer service and overall a good library circulation program.
Alexandria is a fantastic program with wonderful tech support when we really need it. I became a librarian by accident but soon learned that our small library had a great system that had been underutilized. With the help of tech support we soon had the library online and available to everyone! Students now teach new staff and parents how to use the online catalog. Student librarians are able to quickly navigate to whatever section of the system they need at the moment. Between the online help and the readily available tech support, we have had a wonderful experience with "Alex."
I have used Alexandria for 8 1/2 years. It is easy to use. It is easily customizable. The tech support is helpful.

We have used Alexandria for over 20 years and have been very pleased with not only their product-which is updated frequently, but with their customer/tech service. Any issue we've had has been solved by their very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous staff. I highly recommend this system--it has been invaluable for us!
I am new to the Librarian world, but it has been so easy using the Alexandria system. It is very self-explanatory and easy to maneuver through. I have used the tech dept., and they were super helpful, and easy to talk to. Thank You!!

I find the software cumbersome and the manual not as helpful as I would like. I've used 4 other library software programs in my library experience and I find alexandrias to be the most diSappointing
