Alexandria’s mission is to make libraries as important today as they were 40 years ago. Libraries are not “dead” and will never be. Our goal is to give librarians the tools to share and promote their resources. The first version of Alexandria was released in 1990. Alexandria itself has continued to be updated and enhanced for over 20 years, which is pretty amazing in the technology and software industry.
In all Alexandria is a very good program. I think some parts can be more user friendly. Like being able to make the script larger. Giving reports and setting a more obvious names
Although the latest web based ALEX version looks cleaner and up-dated, a lot of the convenient 'old' features have been eliminated. Example: getting a lot of reports requires a multiple step clicking process before one can view/print the actual report. Also, having to type a teacher's name EXACTLY (case sensitive, punctuation) as it is stored makes a quick report for a teacher an ordeal.
I have used Alexandria in my school library for many years and I have always been happy with it. I have had maybe one or two issues over many years of use and each time the issues were resolved quickly by Alexandria's tech support.
We've used this system for several years for our school libraries. We've learned to work around a lot of the glitches, so it functions okay. Communication with the company could be better. We have been waiting quite a while to upgrade to the latest version without much response to our messages about it.
Alexandria is an excellent program. It shows all sorts of reports, manages your library collection in a dependable format, and is a very user friendly program.
Alexandria Library automation software is user friendly, convenient and a great tool overall. We enjoy many features of Alexandria including the helpful reports, flexibility of the utilities and ease of use for patrons. I have used other products for library automation in the past, but Alexandria is the best by far and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new product.
Alexandria is very user friendly and offers great technical support. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that some of the reports are a little hard to find.

Alexandria is very librarian and elementary student-friendly. There are occasions I have to refer to the manual when trying to use the software but not very often.
I found this new program to be an added source of security and user friendly.
I have found the Alexandria Software to be very trouble free. Any time that I needed to call Tech Support I had quick, efficient, and dependable service that resolved the issue for which I needed help.
Best customer support with a software that stays current! No complaint ever---runs like a workhorse and never crashes.
We switched to Alexandria a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier with our library software. It's easy to use, has lots of reporting features and makes checkout and management easy. Fast and polite tech support too.
The system works fine but in elementary where spelling is a challenge, it can be difficult for the students
I find the Alexandria program quite easy to use. Anytime I have needed aide with anything the staff has been so helpful.
99% of the time Alexandria support has been wonderful assisting us whenever we have an issue. Currently there is some frustration w/ the rollout of v7. Not a lot of communication as to why the upgrade is on hold and no prior notice that that option is not even currently available. If there are tech issues, then openly share this w/ the customers. Communication and transparency are essential.

With Alexandria's unending features, there isn't anything you can't do. However, learning how to utilize all of these tools can seem daunting. I've had the best experience with their tech personnel every time I have called for the past 4 years. They're always able to help fix my issues within minutes, and normally teach me how to use something new. They're helpful, informative, and patient.
Always good to have partners that view a program that is valuable to students education
