Aug 02,2021Terrible company to deal with. Won't make payments more affordable, they pester my guarantor too much. Making it impossible to ever get out of debt. Ridiculously high payments each month.

Aug 01,2021Amigo loans are the worst company I have ever been with every weekend I’m being harassed and threatened to be taken to court even though all my payments are up to date. I’ve replied to each and every email, text message tried ringing to be on hold for up to 45 minutes each time!! I’ve checked my online account and it’s not showing any arrears. Please amigo get this sorted out no wonder your company is in trouble when you treat customers like this. It’s a complete joke!!

Jul 31,2021So….even I’m shocked that I’m giving 5 stars. But the five stars are for Christina at Amigo who was so accommodating and helpful. I had a pressing issue that she dealt with and really took on board, I didn’t feel like she was judgmental of the fact that I had an ongoing complaint, she listened attentively and offered me Solutions that work for me.I’m very thankful for your help and support Christina!

Jul 20,2021Worst loan company I've ever used. Took out a £6000 loan paying £292.79 a month not realising the interest was so much I've paid £7,903.98 but amazingly still owe £2,760 I contacted them to settle hoping they would take some interest off for early settlement but no they said due to me having a complaint against them and the investigation is ongoing (even though there not investigating any complaints at the moment) they can't offer me a reduced rate. I dont see what this has to do with my complaints I just want to finish my loan so I can get away from these money grabing leeches. Update to the comment below from amigo they haven't sent me a message for my policy number think this is just to pretend they want to help

Jul 20,2021Absolutely avoid this company. Your problems are just starting the day you accept a loan.. there sickening attitude 😒 to complete arrogance and ignorance is totally unacceptable. Thank god this company is on the verge of collapse.. please please do not use them it's a complete horror story of how they recover cash from you.. even if you can't afford to pay them back because of changed circumstances...

Jul 14,2021Absolutely awful company. I was guarantor, for a member of my family. I was harassed about missed payments before they were even aware that they had missed the payment. Every single member of staff I had spoken to was rude and arrogant, not helpful in the slightest. We massively over payed on the loan and had to get a legal team involved and by reading some of these other reviews we were not the only ones this has happened too. I’d say avoid loans anyway but if you’re really that desperate I say avoid this one more. In the end we just payed the whole thing off because we didn’t want to deal with this company anymore. Replying to your response. As if you just said this to me ? The amount of times I have rang and emailed even texted you about “opting out these updates” when the loan borrower, rang to put in a complaint about you guys harassing me, the so called manager Told her that the messages were not automated? And that I could reply to them? This company is an absolute scam. You guys are blatantly writing good reviews on Trustpilot because they seem more automated than you’re “automated messages”. Which you can apparently opt out of at any time. I must of went about it the wrong way when I tried to do this the last 4 years. Absolute joke what a stupid response. I hope you go bust and save a lot of people in money troubles the stress and frustration that you have already caused so many others.

Jul 14,2021Modern day highwaymen who have quite rightly been exposed and facing ruin as a result. Delayed first payment by a few days and they stole nearly £2k from me at the end of the loan. Avoid at all costs. As the reply below shows they are shameless thieves, I did not agree to paying 5 extra months for a couple of days delay(ALL payments were made in line with the contract you moron this was an agreed delay which cost me thousands without agreement) - you all should be in jail. The ombudsman agreed if you hadn't insulated yourselves from claims, shameless again, I would have a case.

DO NOT trust this company, they're harassing me with emails and calls despite being unable to afford the high interest repayments -- all this while they are facing administration. I am praying for the day this company goes into insolvency, you deserve everything that is coming to you. #AdiosAmigo

Jul 12,2021for anyone struggling to a solution with these criminals head over to debt camel there is a whole load of information on there that Amigo won't tell you about because they just want all their greedy interest money every month. It tells you what you can do if you have a complaint in with them and about paying your loan during their insolvency stages. Hope this helps guys

Jul 10,2021I was guarantor for a loan my son took out with Amigo. It was for a year and he defaulted twice. I was kept in the loop and was able to cover these two payments which ensured his credit rating was not completely destroyed. The T & C's by Amigo were perfectly clear and explained when he took the loan out and we paid the loan off by the due date. Everything worked well for him and Amigo stepped in when others refused to lend him any money so, thank you Amigo.

Jul 09,2021Helped me out at time where no others would, they still checked that I could afford it, when I called them they were always helpful and worked with me. If the high street banks don’t want to help when you really need it, these guys step in, yes more APR, but not 3 figure %. I’ve paid off now. The customer has a responsibility to tell all of there outgoings, which I did and it was affordable. 5 stars from me.

Jul 06,2021Sick of them hassling my guarantor. Since day one they have done it. If im late by 1 day they are texting them. I've always paid it even if it has been a day late at times. Would never use again and have the cheek to ask customers to support them 🤣 good riddance to you amigo. Rip. Companys like these pray on the vulnerable, I needed quick cash in hard times but I ended of worse off for a long time. I have 2 payments left cant wait to see the back of them.

Jul 03,2021Apologies if this makes no sense just so lost and flustered A friend needed a loan so I did the guarantor for them only to find out recently that they had no employment when amigo gave them this loan. Which leads me to ask what relevant checks are done to ensure these loans are legit since then due to the way things have gone in my personal life I have Lost my job due to health reasons and now suffering with mental health issues also. I have made a total of £1707.58 in payments towards a loan that I didn’t receive no way of getting support and when I explain these issues the advisors answer was we’ll give you an extra 3 weeks to sort a payment if not you and the original loan holder will receive a CCJ. Now I tried to get out of this agreement on the terms that it was a loan that should not have been given as all relevant checks had not been done. When I asked to be removed a guarantor I was told that cannot be done as it’s a joint liability loan. I did not know this nothing was explained at all and now I’m stuck paying for something I myself did not use. Causing me more stress and ill health. But amigo do not care of this and The generic reply’s you get acting like your health and well being matters is a joke. As long as they get what they want by any means even if it means you suffer more in the long run. I have lost my job my home and soon splitting from my family as there is not enough room for us all to stay with family in one house. But again this is not amigos problem. Your company is basically robbing people with ridiculous interest rates trapping people in to contracts they have no explanation of (which by fca regulation should all be explained in detail) leaving customers tied up in CCJ’s and ruining credit files and lives. And then telling customers to seek government support to get the issues resolved (if we can’t get your money government money will do) this is one vicious scam that you suck vulnerable people In out of desperation and then you profit by any means no matter what the out come for the person. I have worked hard since a young age to build my file and make sure I would have what I needed to be stable I’ll health has changed that for me and now amigo are threatening with CCJ’s which will ruin the credit history what I myself have Worked very hard to build and keep clean. Reply response As we can see a great generic reply to a problem your company have caused if you did your relevant checks you would have known the borrower did not have a job or income at the time something I was not aware of not one payment has been made by the borrower only me as I have no choice.you actively give people money Without due checks and someone else foots the bill. As for looking further in to this I have no need to provide the info as I have spoke to your agents who After hearing my issues personal and health have kindly stated I have three weeks to make the payments up to date or i will be sent a ccj so no default notices to myself just a straight threat of CCJ’s. Which shows the level of care your company has towards people who have basically been scammed in to this situation no care be it a credit file or personal health and well being.

Aug 02,2021No better than sewer Rats…..delaying tactics on complaints to keep getting payments from people making those in desperate situations suffer with more depression and have to miss priority bills to make payment to hear gutter trash in order to avoid them from harassing my guarantor. I don’t want redress I simply want to be released from the loan I paid back £7000 of a £5000 loan and still owe almost £5000!!! Just have some compassion and end peoples agony. NEVER EVER AGAIN, worst mistake of my life !!!
