Shame on them amigo company is was shark loan fraud !!!! When I have big money problem by covid 19 Then amigo are threat to my friend part of it guarantor and also my friend is guarantor call me on the phone that amigo is are bullying on him email / letter / phone call My friend has been annoying on them and my friend say shut the slop up by amigo loan !!! I told him ingore them damn it ... stupid !!!! Then what happens you won’t belivie it .... You have do be carefully if you have any your 2 or 3 bank branch your account then I use nationwide bank pay the amigo only so I feel I cannot afford pay full 197.68 a month but I can pay little time a week to catch up our bill get complete £197.68 but I was very shock !! Amigo not accept it they Want full a month but I am refused it that I cannot afford it I has 7 kids and we are on DWP benefit but amigo don’t give this care I was hurt !!! Then I ingore amigo what I want pay little time a week pay but I alway was late payment and not on time because covid 19 But amigo is don’t care and amigo has been investigating in election roll what they looking for our name by other bank and they are found out I have other bank is was lloyds bank and they have been stole our lloyds bank details and they took our money at Lloyds bank without asking me permission!! but I look my bank statement and I say what !!!! I didn’t give them our Lloyds bank details how do that they got my Lloyds bank details.... on my god I phone lloyds bank I want refunds that money back we need it for the kids food shopping only lloyds bank but amigo not allow touch it But I am prefer that amigo must take out use nationwide bank only but I was thinking how they get my Lloyd bank details i can’t believe this “ that bad I am sure They are HACKING company our Lloyds bank details i feel they are fraud !!! They do not supposed hacking my private bank details So I report lloyds bank please refunds our money back and asking them block !!! And Lloyd bank has been block and report fraud against amigo Then few day later amigo is come back took lloyds bank again has been 2nd time So the Lloyds bank found out that lloyds bank has been refunds back in my account again .... I see my bank statement say to me let me know has been refunds from fraud amigo I say thank you lloyds bank .... That is how amigo loan so bad company You tell your friend or people don’t join amigo Loan is bad and they can hacking your bank and you will lose it your money what happens to me on this year 2021 ok Please be carefully Thanks Regards Andy

Honesty don’t understand why you’d vote know, you do realize the debt will still have to be paid back in full!!! I’d rather get some compensation than nothing at all!?!

Great scheme offered by Amigo. Once they get straight and their house in order profits will increase. I would be happy to take some of the profit over the next few years. People who want to vote no must be completely stupid with no brains. OK so if the company go bust the owners will suffer, but not pay out anything on compensation. However they can start again with a new company and all those stupid people might feel smug and think they have won but financially it's the owners who will have the last laugh. Whether I agree with what is proposed or not, I would prefer to have the guarantee of money in my pocket. Therefore I would actually finish up better off. Its a no brainer, unless you haven't got one you want to use.

I put my claim in Nov 2020. Been advised by amigo they are not giving any final responses until position known with scheme arrangement which will be May or June. If not agreed the company will probably go into administration or liquidation. If you have not already had offer or money then hate to be bearer of bad news but there is only chance of getting very small amount in compensation just had letter from moneyshop who went down that same route 18 months ago. Looks like 4p in pound payout so instead of £6500 compensation I will get around £270. This will be paid out in May so will be 2 years then so assume will be similar period for amigo. It might not even be 4p in pound could be less for amigo as they will have lot more claims. I have given 2 stars because putting this aside they have given good service regarding breathing space on my loan re covid and reduced payments. They have responded to my emails promptly so I can't fault them on this.

amigo loans still have not resolved my complaint which was made in september 2020 flaming joke,it was months before they come up with their get out of jail free card,really really really not happy

The charge you soo much interest ! Send texts and emails to your Guarantor even if you have any agreement in place . They bully you when you owe them money and struggle to pay basically ! Borrowed 6k of them and paying back £330 month after 2 years still owed soooo much money and felt depressed had to sell possessions just to get them out of my life and best thing I’ve ever done . Right now they do not want to entertain your complaint but If you owe them money they send texts out 24/7 and respond to your incoming calls Please everyone vote NO ! You will only get few hundred quid compensation if you vote yes and that will take 18 months - let them go bust and save others from going through this hell Untill then leave negative reviews , email them everyday , put pressure on fos and spread the word

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. They aren't even investigating the complaint, they're putting all the eggs in the basket of the scheme, which is highly unlikely to even be approved bt the court, let alone voted yes by the customers. Please don't insult me with 1 of the copy and paste replies amigo, you're wasting everyone's time. Edit-As I mentioned...... The court didn't allow it....I'm amazed you were as arrogant to reply stating the court would allow it as it was 'fair' to customers. It isn't.

It's understandable why people are upset, but the only way for the majority of claimants to get money back is to agree to the scheme. Don't bite off your hand to spite your face. Some of us would rather get some kind of compensation.

I am guarantor for my Son's loan. Every month they message and email me at least three times to say the payment has not been made, instead of taking it they keep harassing me. Today they have said we owe a late payment, and that payments have been refused from my bank, and that my son has never made any payments both of which are totally incorrect that really made me angry I have never missed any payments to any company, I am a business woman so I have to keep things straight. I am sure they are not aware that we are in lockdown and in the throes of a pandemic!! They refused to listen when I said that my son can't work because of lockdown, all they said was to arrange for a reduction in payments, I am reluctant to do this because I will probably get harassing and threatening emails again to say we are late paying. I have told them I want an apology in writing. I have contacted the FOS regarding this. Can't wait to clear the loan and get this awful company out of my life once and for all. I suppose the only option now is to pay it in full but I'm being stubborn because I am so angry!!

VOTE NO What a joke of a company. Please note to everyone waiting for a redress, that even if they go into administration they will still be required to pay us out. Don't listen to their silly propaganda. Read up on debtcamel's recent article and you'll see how scummy Amigo Loans are being about this!! They've robbed me blind and i'm suffering as a result due to the insane interest they've added on top of my loan repayments.

If I could rate less than one star I would. Amigo loans literally have the worst customer service known to man. They made an error which led to them to illegally acts, I bookend a call from a senior manager and waited a week for no one to call on the arranged time and date. This happened 5 months ago and the only way you will ever hear from them is when you don’t make a payment. I have received two emails in this 5 month period saying I will have an answer in 8 weeks. Thankfully the threatening letters phone calls and emails have now stopped. DON NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Amigo Loans are acquired by people with no-where else to turn. Obscene interest rates are there because the people that need those loans have no other option. The company claims to want to help people back in their feet, and to better credit..... After an impeccable payment record for years, I finally had the chance to consolidate my debts with a much better interest rate, and would therefore be able to leave the amigo interest rates behind. Reading all their literature, I would be mistaken for thinking that Amigo would also be a fan of this outcome ( because they want to help people to better credit .. wink wink). Before Christmas I contacted them and was extremely honest.... I want reduced payments for the final Two months of my agreement to help Me secure the loan I needed and ultimately pay them off in full. They point blank refused. Even after I explained that by putting me under that pressure, then my way out could fall through. Luckily for me, I found a way to make those payments, and then secure my consolidation loan.... thus waving goodbye to these sharks. I asked once, for their understanding. There was none... I was simply more valuable to them as a tied up customer paying interest. Well, not any more. Ciao Amigo

0n the 03 Feb. i wrote a review and then received a response from amigo that they would contact me in a couple of weeks now 5 weeks later and i am still awaiting a response if i miss a payment i am contacted within a couple of days all this is just delaying tactics till they get the court decision that they have applied for

Completely blind, indifferent or just plain not caring to people’s experience at a very difficult time. After making a reduced agreed payment due to Covid-19 related financial hardship, and having that payment acknowledged both myself and guarantor are being threatened with further action. Amigo accept no responsibility or shoulder any blame for what they are putting their customers through, they push and push you, one day they will push someone too far with dire consequences. They have no ability to understand or converse with the idea their treatment of people may have abject effects on their welfare. Avoid at all costs. I’ve actually made a report to the BBC watchdog programme as I believe they need investigating for the callous way they are harassing people, I would urge anyone else suffering at their hands to do the same. A non essential debt that Amigo seem to think people should be chased for. Unbelievable.

Amigo is not making enough money to pay all of its creditors. Usually, this would mean that Amigo would have to go into an insolvency process such as administration or liquidation. If this happened, then in broad terms: a the significant amount of debt that is owed by Amigo to its secured creditors would have to be repaid first; b a liquidator or administrator would continue to collect your loan balance; c if you had both a valid Redress Claim and an outstanding loan balance, 'set off' (described below in paragraph 15) would apply to reduce the amount of your loan balance by the amount of your Redress Claim; but d unsecured creditors after 'set off' has been applied - including past or current customers who were owed compensation for a Redress Claim - would, based on our calculations, receive nothing due to the lack of available money after paying, for example, secured creditors. 13 However, if the Scheme goes ahead, compensation will be paid to customers who have a valid Redress Claim that relates to an Amigo loan. While we believe that the Scheme will not be able to satisfy valid Redress Claims in full, based on our calculations, any amounts paid will be greater than in an insolvency (where unsecured creditors would receive nothing).

Just like every loan company, they don’t care if you have money to pay your rent or food in your cupboard, just as long as they get there money. You’d think that during the pandemic they would be a bit more passionate, but talking to them is like banging my head against a brick wall. Both myself and my guarantor lost our jobs and struggling to pay for the basics, have repeatedly sent a budget sheet showing my current situation in the hope we could come to a reduced payment for the time being, till things pick up! But it’s full payment or nothing! AVOID
