Everybody please vote NO to these joke of a scheme that is essentially preventing everybody being able to fairly claim what they’re owed!!!!! I have sent 6 emails in the last 6 weeks and (attempted) to phone at least 20 times regarding my financial difficulties due to the fact I have been let go by my employer! I’ve not had a single reply!!! But guess what??? It’s like magic, as soon as my payment day comes (and I miss the payment) myself and my guarantor get bombarded with texts for days!!! And they still haven’t replied to my emails! The biggest regret of my entire life, was the day I took out a loan with amigo (FACT) it has put nothing but stress upon myself and my guarantor and I’ve never been so depressed over finances in my life!!! I can’t wait until this company goes bust and gets what they really deserve!!! Note to amigo: please do not reply your usual bull**** to this review as I’ve been on your site 100 times and all I can see is the company basically begging us all to keep you afloat at our own cost! To every amigo customer, do not accept the deal they are asking you to make, they owe millions to people in compensation and because they know they will have to pay out there trying to get customers to vote for a scheme that will get you peanuts back instead of 100% amount plus redress if you go to financial ombudsman direct. If they go bust then everyone who still has a balance will be wiped out and if you go financial ombudsman your 99% get a payout, dont vote yes or you claim through amigo will either be rejected, take 18 months longer,only get 10% on a 10k loan at 5 years is 1k instead of 18k if agreed by ombudsman. These lot are crooks and we need to all stick together and hold our ground. If they go under who cares and if they dont we will all be compensated by financial ombudsman changing to pot in for the scheme for 10% that you know you prob never get anyway is pointless. This has to be the worse company ever,2016 I barrowed 10k and now 5 years later I still owe 9k. I've paid 18k in interest plus redress I will get 20k back,so if your in my position it makes sense to vote no ,your claim will be 100% payout plus redress instead of a crazy 10-15%. The financial ombudsman is favouring 95% off all claims,they wont go bankrupt, it's a lie,there owned by a billionaire, they wont us to think that to save them money.
Disgusting company that does not hold anything it states on website...Complained 8 weeks ago and had it ACKNOWLEDGED, today should have been the final response, now they are moving the goalposts again and saying i will fall under the scheme, which it clearly states on website I DONT!! I have took legal advice. Today I logged complaint with FOS, I have cancelled my DD and wont be paying these crooks one more penny, by the time its comes around i will vote against the scheme and hope that they go bankrupt and never are allowed to form any sort of business ever again. Amigo loans are a massive joke I took a loan out due to struggling with real life situation amigo looked my only way out and they accepted me for a loan I pay £121 a month however every time I pay ON TIME I may add they add different amounts of interest on the same day for example 10/09/2020 they added on £75.91 on the 10/10/2020 they added on £71.90 on the 10/11/2020 they added on £72.55 on the 10/12/2020 they added on £68.54 all of these dates are when I pay my monthly fee to them it seems they add on fees when they feel like and it's a random figure each time I'm now going to seek legal advice as this company just want to rip people off as much as they can with no compassion for people who are in desperate needs I advice people NOT TO USE AMIGO they just want your money nothing else complete rip off company I have now gone to STREET UK they look after me there they are kind and understanding and will help in every way possible to suit your needs unlike the cowboy company Amigo

I had an affordability complaint partially upheld in July and I had already escalated to FOS in May as Amigo didn't respond within the 8 week time frame. I want FOS to look into the £2k's worth of 'unpaid interest' Amigo lumped onto the outstanding balance and the initial loans that were not upheld as this is not fair and should be investigated. I heard nothing from FOS and chased in December to be told that they had requested my business file from Amigo in August and Amigo had refused to share it as I'd accepted the settlement as final. This was NOT the case as I'd emailed Amigo outlining this at the time of the offer they made. Rang Amigo and they admitted that it was a mistake that they hadn't shared my business file and apparently FOS now have it. This caused a further 4 months delay and just goes to show how out of their own depth they are with this mess. How can this new scheme of arrangement be fair and equitable when previous customers prior to December 21st 2020 have (mostly!) been paid compensation in full! Nothing fair about that at all. Just go into administration and put yourselves out of your own misery. Please don't respond to this sharing a link to the scheme website, I've read it Anyone considering going with Amigo, don't!
So is it me or has amigo not sent everyone an email about voting I feel like they haven’t sent me 1 as I’ve had a complaint in ? Sceptic !!! I’ve struggled from this pandemic every day I’ve been furloughed an now these past 2 weeks I’ve been made redundant from 2 jobs I’ve worked for a brand in Debenhams an now that every store is shut I have nowhere to turn I worked for 1 brand an another brand in store I’ve had 2 calls the past few days for both my redundancy’s but I do not qualify for redundancy as I’ve been there less than 2 years an amigo expects me to pay my loan while trying to pay my rent an other debts bearing in mind my guarantor worked for the same company so can’t afford payments either as the same applys I’m counting down the months to I see it’s went pair shaped for them ! I’m struggling every month to pay my payment at the min I’m currently always going into about 300 in overdraft there my biggest loan I’ve to pay
Got a loan from Amigo last year, as I lost my job I fall behind with payments , but I started to work with debt company and sorted out the repayments for Amigo. In December last year they started calling my guarantor and me , multiply times a day, sending us emails (just harassing) about the repayments , even that they knew and being contacted by debt company that I'm working with. When they signed the agreement in January with me , I should start paying on 21st, but Amigo changed the date of first repayment on 27th of January ( got an email from them to confirm it ) . The money was paid exactly on 27th and today ( day after ) they send me a message and email ( to my guarantor as well) that they gonna cancel my agreement as I didnt pay my installment. The company is a mess , they harassing you because of their own mistakes. Avoid them Edit : To Amigo , First of all I didnt miss a payment, cause I paid it on the date, that it is on my agreement with you. Second, I had set payment on 21st as it was inmy final pack with debt company, but when the lady contacted me from Amigo she suggested to move it on 27th,as its confirmed in the email that u send me.

Yeah, I call on everyone to note vote in favour of this scheme. Basically it's likely they will give you £200 early 2022 and in between that time you have to continue making payments anyway. I call on everyone to vote against this, let them go into insolvency and not trap any more vulnerable people.
I absolutely hate this company!!!!! Worst mistake of my life is taking a loan out with this company. I have come into circumstances where I am unable to pay my bill I went on the website went on payment settings and put I'd pay it on a certain date they're not listening to it hassling me in every way they possibly can and my garentor. They know I have a young baby and still want me to pay although it'd cause even more hardship which would mean I'd struggle to feed my child too which is not happening! They don't care about your circumstances they won't lower my bill and extend my time so I can afford to pay instead they expect me to pay £51.53. They have emails yet you can't make an agreement on email although I've already made an agreement they don't want to listen to! Honestly company's like this make people commit suicide they have caused me alot of depression as they're not helpful and I worry about if my garentor gets consequences from me not paying it for one week! Avoid at all costs it is not worth it!! I only taken out £500 I've already payed back £824.24 and still owe £200 and they get so many people after loans let's face it we don't read the T&C we just try get accepted to a loan ASAP when we need it that's how they make so much money off of people. One month they even charged me twice I had to get in touch yet again and they didn't pay it back to me for two weeks!!! Although put up on the amigo loans website refund was sent that day think they forget customers have online banking now and get statements! Why is it when they owe money they take so long to pay it back to you but when you owe them money it's totally different its disgusting!!!
Mis sold loan, has been a complaint in since July 2020, now fobbing everyone off. All staff I would rate as a zero. Useless company, they won't get another penny from me. Avoid
Put a mis sold loan claim in beginning of 2020. On December 3rd 2020 I received redress figures from amigo loans which I had to accept by 10th December. This was accepted by me on the 8th December. I’ve now been told now that no redress payment will be made till at least March because of a 21st December deadline. My redress was accepted 8th December some 13 days before the 21st. Surely if amigo has offered redress this is a)owning up to mis selling and should still be binding as I agreed before their deadline. They stated in guardian newspaper that any offers made before the 21st would still be honoured. Totally modern day dick turpin’s
Amigo Loans, where do you start? Constant lies, harassment, bullying, dont treat anyone positively or sympathetically, run by children with no financial experience yet its ok for them to gamble with everyone's finances. Even their own Founder and Managing Director has jumped ship before being held accountable for the level of irresponsible lending and lies. Also, so he can avoid being tied to or held accountable for the blood on his hands from the amount of people who potentially will end up taking their own lives from the relentless harassment Amigo will endeavour to dish out if you fall out of line and thats more so of a greater risk especially in light of the current climate and how people are struggling. What a lovely bloke and company who pray on the less fortunate within society who have had to turn to them when all else fails. Redress scheme is a joke and Amigo continue keep implementing bad financial practises. All below have been confirmed as happening and implemented since March 2020. 1 - Amigo will not and wont stop any interest on accounts if anyone is in financial difficulties on hold regardless of the situation. This also includes if you are in a payment schedule or an IVA. Financial Ombudsman confirmed this today and said Amigo are the only financial company that are still charging interest. 2 - Also putting late payment markers on people credit files when had payment arrangement in place due to Covid so people check your credit files as Amigo have lied and not been transparent at all. 3 - Not told Customers that if your in a payment schedule or had breathing space due to covid and that once your arrears add up to being the same or more that your monthly payments are, they then start marking your credit report with late payment markers and arrears markers regardless of being in an arrangement with them. Shocking disgusting behavoir. Check your credit files as your be shocked if you dont believe me. 4 - Marked my account as in arrears and put late payment markers on my account 2 days before the scheduled direct debit was going out on three different occasions and havent taken the late payment markers off even thou they have been showed the evidence and the direct debit went out on the scheduled day so they clearly are above all jurisdiction and laws put in place. 5 - Harassment is unreal, texts, phonecalls, emails every day if somethings wrong. By law you are only allowed to contact someone 3 times by any contact before it gets classed as harassment and i have reported them to the Police and FOS but it still continues and no one cares. Oh and if you request and tell Amigo you dont wish to be contacted a certain way they wont listen to you, took me 6 months, endless calls & emails to stop text messages from them, in the end i nearly changed my number to stop the relentless pressure but in the end it actually resulted in me having a full breakdown. My guarantor received 15 messages (calls, texts and emails in one day even thou it was Amigos error. 6 - Constantly pressuring me to speak to them about my mental health when its nothing to do with them and they arent trained skilled professionals in this area and nor do they have a designated department. Sorry but Amigo like to push push push you into a corner until you break. 7 - Amigo Account Managers seemingly dont exist and not real, false names used to pass around the houses. Never once spoke to mine Why the hell would I trust Amigo with personal sensitive information personal to myself and my mental health when yet Amigo cant even deal with anything financial as its run by children with no financial qualifications or experience. My own experience and dossier is getting bigger and bigger by the day Wrote a complaint in November 2018 and its just got bigger and bigger throught their own negligence. Complaint never looked at before the 8 week deadline as they state on their complaints procedure. Phoned the following friday after the deadline to question whats going on and get told its not even been allocated. The monday after, so three days after i rang, I get a response and they arent upholding my complaint, so in three days bearing in mind they are shut on a sunday, they have listened to over 100 phonecalls, fully investigated 70 plus emails to and from them and processed a complaint and offer me £250 for the inconvenience. Laughable. So now with the FOS and I made my complaint and contacted the FOS start of December 2020 before Amigo put in their application for this new scheme of redress and i expect my case to be dealt with before the date of Amigos Application qnd not with this scheme to escape action. I expect i will be passed around the houses and told it wasnt before this date they applied but unfortunately Amigo eberything is date recorded so you cant bend or falsify my information like everything else

Feb 02,2021I would give 0 stars if I could !! I took out a loan from Amigo as I was in a really bad place financially and they agreed to help. The bank statement etc I sent them clearly indicated that my direct debits that month for my bills had failed. This would have shown the position I was in but they see this as an opportunity to prey on the vulnerable. A third party company contacted amigo last year about my case and I heard nothing back. I raised a further complaint yesterday and clearly stated I am struggling with the payments and would need to look at a more suitable payment plan to be able to keep up with my payments. I received a reply today stating they already responded to the third party last year and there for this complaint shouldn’t have been raised and they are closing it. No mention or response to the fact I am asking for help and telling them I can’t keep up with the payments...they have so called specialist trained staff to help customers with this??? They don’t give a monkeys unless they are taking your money. The interest they are adding is not far off the monthly payment I make so my balance doesn’t seem to be going down at all. Nothing but loan sharks. To top it off it was my disabled mother who is on disability benefits who they accepted for guarantor and basically hound her as soon as my payment is so much as a day late. I’ve passed all the information onto the Financial Ombudsman and I will definitely be voting NO to the scheme. It’s laughable that they expect people to believe the scheme is for the good of the customers?? LOL no it’s to stop yous from going bust which is exactly what yous deserve.
