Submitted a complaint on 18th of June and still no response. Continually been given excuses as to why no response. Now been given the excuse that the FCA are monitoring individual cases. When I contacted the FCA they denied all knowledge. Take my advise and stay well clear of the company. And don't waste your time phoning for updates because they are absolutely no help whatsoever.

Not really sure where to start on this.... I’m shocked to be writing that I have had a complaint running from the 12th February and since awaiting an outcome. Financial ombudsman has extended the response timeframe twice now, finally got a bit of an update when speaking on the phone last week that now apparently the FCA have instructed to pause any resolutions if guarantor has been involved - clearly reading here you are applying different approaches. No regard for the customer and continue to drag out. I only wish the media would pick up on this. If the FCA are the cause then I will be lodging a complaint direct against them quoting yourselves.

FRAUD IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE I can not believe the number of people making fraudulent claims. It is a disgrace. Do they realise it is a criminal offence? I obtained a loan which was life changing. I bought a car that got me to work and put food on the table for my children. It was made clear from the onset what the payments were. Being an ADULT of sound mind I budgeted accordingly and I now have a credit rating over 600 and a 7 credit cards at 0% APR and a mortgage on a house. Don't these people realise that to get anywhere in life you need a good credit rating? Every one needs credit. More to the point for every person that does make a fraudulent claim there is someone out there Like me that cant get access to credit and put food on the table for their children. What a bunch of irresponsible selfish human beings. Think about that and the reasons why you will never get a mortgage on your own home!

Beyond angry. Accepted redress payment and guarantor provided bank details. All confirmed.... Then told payment had been made beginning of September. Then had to provide bank statements to show no payment had been paid out. From there we are given excuse after excuse. Phone calls and emails every other day since then. The responses back from emails don't even answer are questions. Had fca excuse which after speaking to fca doesn't even relate to our case. Then to top it off an email asking about my mental health and how it is affecting me with regards to this case. Why is it that I see reviews of people accepting redress payment and its paid out within hours to them. Beyond upset and stressed out with this. Especially when I do get a response with replys of excuses, no explanation etc. Feel like I am being laughed at and taken as a joke. What my mental health has to do with the complaint case is beyond me, its amigo loans as a company that has caused this stress.

Look at all the tramps wanting money for nothing. You all knew the interest rate, all of a sudden none of you can afford it? No one put a gun to your head to take the loan, YOU applied for a loan. Take some responsibility. HOPE YOU ALL GET DONE FOR FRAUD.

Great company. Can't get a loan in my own but can with a friend backing me. I'm so adult so I think affordability responsibility should be mostly mine and not just Amigo which most seem to be complaining about. Anything to try and get a free out.

Thanks for responding to my complaint but I can’t understand why because I used my card on the account to help my wife pay for the guarantors loan on a number of occasions but that gives you no right to check my card as I am not on the Loan ? This is a feeble excuse and certainly not right as I have given you no permission whatsoever to go into my account, and also why would you check the guarantor cards associated with this account when my wife has had confirmation from Amigo that she is no longer liable as a guarantor and still waiting for payment since August the 31/08/2020 something stinks here about how Amigo treat people. Please do the right thing and pay the redress you owe to people because its causing so much pain and anger. Agreement 41934446

what a joke waited 8 weeks for a response for them to say they don't uphold my complaint. The email looked like a standard response email rather than individual case. I can refer to financial ombudsman but they don't give them permission etc. Anyone else had anything like this that can offer advice? Feel so down bout this 😪 been struggling to find money each month yet because I've not missed a payment I must be able to afford. The reason being I didnt want my guarantor to get lumbered with paying it for me!!

Well 23 weeks and still no final response despite many e-mails and it regarding a redress already paid to my estranged daughter. it’s been 11 days since yet another reply from my previous reviews on Trustpilot saying it has been passed onto the relevant department and hoping to resolve it soon. Don’t hold your breath guys. I have an appointment Friday with a solicitor I suggest others do the same. Also see my previous review about contacting others apart from FOS

My partner made a complaint regarding an unaffordable loan as the borrower. We recieved back amigos final decision which I have forwarded to the financial ombudsman as the checks they say made were for the guarantor not my partner the borrower. Income and out goings were the guarantor even his living situation NOT my partners as the borrower, how has this been over looked while investigating a complaint. I know this because I ordered my partners bank statements for 2016 when he got the loan which showed all his income and the income amount wasn't even half the amount stated on the final response. It also stated he lived at his family home which he hasn't done in over 20 years but the guarantor does. It states he didn't have CCJs or defaults on the account 12 months prior to the loan agreement again this is the guarantor as we just recieved evidence that he had a handful of defaults and CCJs before the loan and another added before the top on his credit file before the loan. Put a complaint in on the 20th August. Hardly any communication unless I call them!! Spoke to Natalie this morning she told me my complaint was on pause as the garantour made payments i then asked what that meant she said it was on pause because of the fca. OK so I tell Natalie that I'm going to call fca and find out having spoke to the fca they told me no its not on pause because of them. So basically on Thursday this has been running for 10 weeks 😳 still no closer to it being sorted. So yes the do lie and blame everything on the fca

Avoid at all costs.Loan paid in full. Still harassing for £600 as they claim my first payment was made 6 weeks after loan was paid out.Which is their fault as we were asked what date payments were to go out.Have now been told I was charged extra interest because of this which has now turned my loan to a 64 month loan and am still being charged daily interest on this.Will never ever take a loan out with this company again.

I have had four loans with Amigo, after making an affordability complaint, Amigo upheld the third loan but not the larger forth loan, even though my situation hadn’t improved. So they’re saying we agree you couldn’t afford a loan six months previously for less, but you could afford one for more money even though your situation hasn’t changed. I have sent this to the FOS but it would’ve been nice to settle this with Amigo directly, instead of being made to run around and wait months on end. Also they charge you for the interest they would’ve made if they offer you a redress, this is such a shady thing to do to people who come to them in the worst financial states.

A nightmare of a financial trap for vunerable people. Over 9 weeks gone...no DSAR as requested and no final response to my complaint......stated on their website "We’ve agreed with the FCA for all complaints to be responded to within an eight-week time frame by the end of October."...well those 8 weeks have gone and no one seems to be able to tell me when I email when I will hear. Poor communication Amigo and against FCA guidelines. Complaint for irresponsible lending being sent to FOS but would prefer to settle this with the company after the amount of financial hardship and stress this has caused me already. Loan 45971549

Agreement number 50186311 Not happy at all with amigo and will tell others not to get a loan out with them company is ridiculous and have affected my mental health alot I've been in hospital as I tried to end my life because I saw no way out of clearing this loan their interest rates are appalling I put in a complaint but no refund they just deducted some of my balance but I'm still paying off the remaining that they left me with to pay which I'm struggling to pay that to its disqusting that I was never offered a refund or compensation for all the stress they have caused me worse loan company ever

So I’ve had a affordability complaint upheld the redress will be £3587.09p according to a charities calculations. Yet they still expect me to make monthly payments that I can’t afford until they have done there numbers. Absolutely disgusting and there is no way I can afford to make any new payments. *update now have redress figures excepted 26/10/2020 they said 10 days until processed so fingers crossed a week on Friday it should be in account. I have to say amigo have great staff working there so I hope they come out the other end of this for there sake.

My wife put in a complaint about a month or 2 ago and all we get back is we are still looking in to it but she misses a payment and we have nothing but emails and phone calls and I'm getting them now because I'm her guarantor COME ON AMIGO what's going on

Are you just ignoring e-mails and messages. I have requested copies of two statements on several occasions and I actually needed them for a meeting today. You cannot access these online. Let down for something that would probably take 5 minutes to e-mail to me. I do appreciate how busy you are but you need to up your game on customer service. **UPDATED to 4 stars as this has been resolved today by the team at Amigo.

Legalised Loan Sharks, Bullies and an absolute disgrace of a company. I cannot wait for them to go out of business. AVOID at all costs. They do not listen to what anyone has to say and just pressure you until they have every last penny from you. My case is with the final Ombudsman and I can't wait for the final ruling.
