So amigo incorrectly applied a CCJ to my credit file. I have fought and fought with the company until they finally admitted they were wrong. They then said it would take 3 months to remove. Now 4 months in and I have just been advised it will take another 3 months because they sent the email to the wrong team.
Still waiting for my money, over £11,000. 45 days later after agreeing a pay out in 35days, same excuses all the time. Messing about with peoples money that YOU owe is having a detrimental affect on mental health not only for me but I’m sure others too. There is children involved also. Poor service and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves
Complaint 30291266, I am not happy with the service I have received. I am being ignored regardless of sending multiple emails, it has now been 24 weeks with no response/final decision to my complaint. I would appreciate it if Amigo would stop ignoring my emails and give me a response!
I originally Gave Amigos a rave review. Working on correcting credit. Covid19 hit. My bank also was affected by fraud. Both times have been proven and paid next day, checked my credit report all green around paid off loan. Me and guarantor went for top up and refused. Due to those payments, let's stay focused this was fraudulent activity that was shown by the bank paid next day. Furious. Was even señt new contracts by them?? Then retracted thst. on my credit file all paid. nothing mentioned. Nothing on my credit has got worse in fact better so I was extremely confused and so was my guarantor.
And yet again ANOTHER fob off!!! Not actually addressing anything I have said, I will be seeking compensation along side my original claim through Ombudsman, there must be someone who knows when claims will be finalised instead of constant generic emails, disgusting customer service time legal action was brought against this company *UPDATE* Spoke to someone who was very polite however not happy, apparently the delay is because there was a guarantor payment on a loan I had in 2012/13, I WAS NOT claiming on this loan it was a loan from 2016 i was claiming as the earlier loan is out of the 6years remit? So why are they considering it now? It is just more delay tactics! It is now over the 8 week period and no final response, and no REAL reply as to when I will get one. I will also seek compensation through the Ombudsman for the stress and time consumed by myself constantly having to email to receive a logic response. This will be on top of my original claim of interest plus 8%. My loan is paid off so I dont understand the delay, however I do believe delay tactics are being used, which is disgraceful and an unethical way to deal with customers. You are quick to pay out on loans, its about time you were fined on top of paying back peoples money that was taken from vulnerable people in dire need of funds Acc 32188548 I await your response
Complaint number: 38161467 Amigo are an unbelievable company, I opened a complaint with them which they upheld a couple of many loans. Stating that the other loans were older than the 6 year rule, one being one month older. They refused to even look at them saying they would have expected a complaint within 6 years. Well if I had known I could have complained I certainly would have I think that would be obvious. They extort money from the vulnerable and when it comes back to them they try to rip you off even more. ABSOLUTE JOKE. Scam artist. Amazing how now the fos is more involved amigo are now upholding loans even over 6 years old no questions asked. Well FOS have my case so we will se what they have to say.
I made a complaint to Amigo loan on the 15th September 2020, got a response back on 17th September 2020, a very compassionate response from Amigo. Offered a refund on the 29th September and I received my refund today the 7th October 2020. Thank you so much. Am going to have my best sleep in 7years. My overdraft paid . The company is an absolute disgrace, contact the company 20th June with a complaint with my loans. Was advised 8 weeks for a response. 9 weeks passed still nothing. Contacted them an as I was in the phone an email appears stating they needed more time. Ok gave them a further 4 weeks as requested by them. My account they sold to another company, why I don’t know as I was making regular payments. I called the company who it’s with to advise I have a complaint. They sent amigo an email asking why they had not been informed. I called back 4 weeks later to amigos asking why they had not contacted me they have no response other than I’m not sure. Then I spoke to another agent who said it was because they were trying to buy back my account, so I call the other company an they said we have contacted amigos 6 times asking why an would they like the account back they had NO response from amigo just like myself. Now we are going into week 15 with still no response from amigo other than it takes longer. I again called the company my loan is with an they have stated amigo is more than welcome to but the account back we have offered several times with no response. I borrowed 14k all together an they add re the most awful company I have ever dealt with! They are just out to take your money from you. Absolutely disgusting I am now seeking legal advise as this is to a point that it’s making me sick, paying a loan back yet its been paid off but they hit you with massive interest. Outrageous!
I fail to see how they manage their business. Guarantor refund offered 26 August 2020 without my asking. All as a result of the borrower lodging an affordability complaint. I accepted with a stated pavement in 35 days. I saw no logic in the timescale but saw no reason to argue. When the pavement did not materialise I sought clarification/an update. My email was not responded to. Subsequent mails with a read receipt activated have elicited no response. Nor was the read receipt received. So they are either not reading mail or actively disabling the read receipt. Interestingly the same is true of the ExCo member who has been copied in. What an example to set - or is it indicative of company policy? It should be a simple process. After all why not get the easy cases off your desk instead of incurring further cost (8% AYR) and aggrevation. I do not want the standard reply from Amigo - busy, each case individual, etc. They would be better off spending their time living up to the caring, efficient approach to people featuring so much in their annual report. Hey ho I will continue emailing - elevating it to spam levels at some point soon
I am Not happy with that amigo... when I has no money is was late every month We have 7 children and we are on benefit .... I have guarantor cover it but when I has no money and I told email to them by amigo staff just holding but my guarantor told me that amigo threat on him too far when I got no money I was p.. off they never be patient!! Keep threat him by guarantor and threat him by guarantor but I look as them what they look alike is was SHARK loan or what .... Me and my guarantor has fall out friendship because of amigo threat him what if I has no money .... now please please you Don’t join them by amigo is bad feedback Avoiding this crap don’t do it Make me sick of this amigo never be patient Thanks
Hi everyone I wanted to give an update on my claim.so I accepted the offer on the 24th of August to which I was told 20 working days,I then got told 30-45 working days.I patiently waited and two weeks ago I sent an emailing explaining how this situation was causing me undo stress and I got nothing back from them,I sent another one explaining that being pregnant and them causing me stress just wasn’t acceptable and ignoring my emails is disgraceful,So yesterday I gave them a call I explained everything and the lady on the phone was VERY helpful she looked into my account and said she can’t understand why the payment hasn’t been made as there was NOTHING to be holding it up! She said she would chase up the accounts department and get back to me that evening or send me an email today.I had no phone call and I recieved NO email HOWEVER at just after 5pm this afternoon I checked my account and low and behold they had paid me my claim in FULL!.....so guys please don’t give up and don’t let them get away with it I really hope you all get your money that’s owed to you very soon x
Hello I was told I would receive and offer after amigo said they would make one after hearing from the FOS. The deadline has passed, can I get an update please.
After over 30 minutes waiting to get through each time. I'm always told 'we have an internal complaints team who will liase directly with FOS'. Yesterday (05/10/20) was the FIRST time i heard a new sentence "since the last time you called my colleague sent an email and they are considering what the FOS's outcome. Once they have done this they will let the FOS know and you'll get an update". You've already missed the deadline TWICE given by the FOS. Id like the resolution now. If for whatever reason my payment didn't come out on the HOUR amigo tried to take it, they'd email , text , and call me. Now its my turn to get answers i just get the run around!!!!!! Wish I had read small print as interest is disgraceful, how they justify taking £49 of my payment off £73 each month is ridiculous, & Amigo loans think this is acceptable, unbelievable. Even Solicitor cant believe the interest

After a affordability complaint amigo upheld the second loan and said they would pay back anything I paid over initial figure I borrowed plus interest also I had a DRO which once discharged should clear any money etc owing interest and charges and leave a balance of zero. They did my redress figures and used it to clear all the interest late charges and paying my guarantor out for their affordability complaint!! Their legal team clearing isnt up to knowing the legal side of things as it clearly states The Insolvency Act s251 provides that: Subject as follows, at the end of the moratorium applicable to a debt relief order the debtor is discharged from all the qualifying debts specified in the order (including all interest, penalties and other sums which may have become payable in relation to those debts since the application date I shall be taking this further
Complaint issued on affordability on October 2019 they rejected my complaint roughly 12 weeks later. Escalated my complaint with the ombudsman then 28th September 2020 amigo finally uphold my complaint and state they wish to settle by paying back all interest on loans plus 8% statutory interest. 1st October 2020 they still take a payment of £256.56p even though I’ve paid over £10,000 back on a total amount I received of £6341 so redress will be roughly £3700 then interest added. Been in touch numerous times to find out when my redress will be calculated and keep being told to be patient and we will send you the offer in due course. Well I’ve waited a full year and I think that’s me being really patient don’t you think amigo. The ombudsman service have gave a deadline for amigo to offer me my redress but I can guarantee they won’t meet this deadline and I’ll be waiting months. Please stay away from this company. *update* not fully resolved amigo still awaiting redress payment.
Absolute sham of a company . I’ve waited 18 WEEKS now . I’ve asked for just an update on 10 occasions now . Just get the same old response if we’re busy rest assured we are dealing with it !!! . Frustrating infuriating etc. I don’t suppose anyone has a direct number for Siobhan Lee the board member for complaints please. With all the negative comments why is there rating still showing as good only 4% poor , I really don’t think so , do you?

Oct 13,2020Just entered week 10 since registering unaffordable lending claim agreement number 51454845 complaint ref RES9020320 still radio silence despite having the most clear cut case of unaffordable lending the case i suspect has not even been looked at yet and the complaints email address clearly just deletes emails and never responds hoping you will eventually give up absolutely appalling customer service.
