Nov 06,2023Sadly an extremely expensive solicitors - not worth the money. My partner and I had a Declaration of Trust drafted by a different solicitor. I needed a separate solicitor to act on my behalf. My partner’s solicitor drafted the whole document of the Declaration of Trust spending at least 1 hour with him on a video call. She charged a total of £650. The solicitor at Amphlett Lissimore who acted on my behalf changed 1 line within the Declaration of Trust. I received a total of 3 emails from her and I was sadly charged just under £1800. 3 times the price of the other firm who actually completed most of the work. Heartbreaking and I feel ripped off. The value for money was not met.

It's been a long while since I bought/sold and was dreading it from past experience. I remember having to basically do the job myself otherwise it wouldn't have happened. I remember never getting a call back, countless delays, many trips to the office because I didn't want to risk them saying they 'didnt have my paperwork' I can whole heartedly say that the whole process with Claire and Nicola was better than I could have anticipated and hoped. They took control of everything, they kept me updated made sure I knew next steps and what was expected from us. They were patient with my calls and emails. Although it took some time ... It was amazing to now if was through no fault of our side. Thank you so so much couldn't have done it without you.

Aug 02,2023Be clear what you ask AL to do and read the terms of engagement carefully. I thought I was asking them to be executor for someone's estate. Without realising, I'd actually asked them to do much less. In hindsight, I think it would be reasonable to expect them to have summarised verbally what they would and wouldn't be doing, to avoid that. On their work, after an initial flurry of activity, the silence became deafening. Responses and updates (months apart) had to be prised out of them. All in all, I felt as if I was 'product' being processed, not a valued client, enjoying a service. As a result, it was more painful than I expected or than it need have been. They get 3 stars, as I sort of got there in the end but, on the basis of my experience, I can't recommend AL. I've not named the individual(s) with whom I dealt, as it's clear to me that my disappointment is due to a corporate shortcoming, not one of those concerned.
