The service with Nigel was always very prompt and we were kept informed by email at every stage. The only slight hick up was whenever Nigel was away, then things stopped and we were having to chase , NM deserves a better support team. Nonetheless , the best firm we have ever dealt with.

She took over the file when my previous solicitor left and picked up it easily without me having to go over earlier discussion. The conveyance was complicated with unhelpful managing agents but she dealt with it all extremely well, unravelling knotty problems that my neighbours' advisors had struggled with. The price was very reasonable considering and I recommend her very highly.

Nov 04,2022I would give no stars if I could! I purchased a house with this solicitors back in 2019, we bought this house to renovate & sell on. We paid £600,000 & spent £150,000 on the house. We put the house up around 2021 but the buyer pulled out because of something called a possessory title which was on the house which we had no idea about. This solicitors should have done their due diligence & told us the house had no deeds which is why it had a possessory title, they should of also made sure the previous owners provided us with an insurance policy so we was covered if anyone showed up with the deeds. Potentially this could have been very bad for us. They caused us no end of stress & upset, as not only did the first buyers pull out, we then had another buyer pull out. I had to continually email AL with no response, one of the partners eventually got back to me once I said I would make a claim against them. At that point we thought we had a £750,000 house which we couldn’t sell. Although people kept telling us a possessory title wasn’t a problem, it was too much of a risk for some people! We armed ourselves with more information on what a possessory title meant, put the house back on the market & found buyers who were ok with it having this title. AL did pay for the next insurance policy but I had to pay & try & get the money back, again they did not respond so my solicitors managed to get the money back 3 months later! Do yourself a favour & stay well away !

They were our conveyancers for our home purchase and they really guided us through the process like the novices we proved to be. All our emails were responded to promptly, all questions asked were answered in a way we understood, which meant we could keep abreast of the process. Nigel Matthews (who was our solicitor) really made what should have been a very stressful period, a little less heavy to deal with and we are eternally grateful. If we go through the process again, we wouldn't hesitate to use their services again and would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Aug 25,2022Amphlett Lissimore charged an additional premium to do some extra work with regards to Companies House appointments of directors. Over 12 months later, the work has still not been done. Emails are responded to 2-3 weeks down the line. When I call the person in charge of my file is always otherwise engaged or on holiday, and seemingly no one else can help. I was eventually refunded my premium, but now 13 months on, the work has still not been done. EDIT: I see your response below. Managing partners were looped in months ago. Doesn't make any difference. 8 weeks without a reply or acknowledgement only then at the last minute as was about to refer to the Ombudsman. I stand by my original comments, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Aug 19,2022I received very good and thorough service from Nigel Leonard and his team at Amphlett Lissimore in West Wickham, when I sold my house recently. The legal process of house-selling in England is a complex minefield - far more complicated than it need be, compared to other European countries in my experience - but that's not Amphlett Lissimore's fault. I'd recommend them.

Aug 18,2022We have been recommended Amphlett Lissimore to help us buy a house. It took 6 months to sign the completion. If you see this message, believe me, it's easier to change solicitor than to think they will solve your issue. I'm pretty sorry I haven't done that. Communication was very poor. It would take days or even weeks to respond to emails. And now, after almost 2 years our house is still not registered under our name at Land registry. And they blame the seller's solicitor for delaying things(things we don't know anything about, because again they don't respond). While the seller's solicitors told us they responded more than one year back with no response from Amphlett. Even if they told me they will do something about, after another 1 star review on goolge maps, our situation is still the same.
