Jun 16,2014I needed two water/feed bowls to fit a specific bird cage that I use for travelling --- I had checked many places locally, in Santa Barbara, and also online. Just before I was leaving for a little trip, I found Arcata on a Saturday. They not only had these bowls, plastic, fitting perfectly, but they sent to me so I received them on Monday. Really grateful for the service.

Jun 06,2014My original supplier for Nekton Lori was out of stock, great to find another supplier who carries this lorikeet powdered food mix. The Bird refuses anything else! Ran into a little trouble checking out, but Arcata's response and resolution was very fast. Product shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition, I'll definitely be buying more later!

Jun 02,2014This was the first time I ordered from Arcata Pet but it won't be the last. VERY competitive prices and hard to find items. They ship Fast. Although this was a small order as it was my first, my experience was as good if not better than others I have used for several years. I would definitely recommend all pet lovers to take a look.

May 31,2014My dog had surgery and was wearing the plastic cone for a week and it was hard for him to eat and it was banging onto our legs as he walked by. I looked at this website and it was easy to navigate and I orders a soft coated e-collar that my dog is much happier about. The order came in sooner than it was scheduled for and the website was easy to use.

May 31,2014I needed Poultry leg bands but everywhere I looked only sold them by the 100's. Arcata Pet sold them individually at a GREAT price. They shipped immediately, so I got my order very quickly. They are my new all around pet supply store.

May 28,2014I've been ordering pet supplies from ArcataPet for several years now and they've always delivered the good with speed and accuracy. I can't always drive to the nearest pet store, because of time constraints and the cost of gas nowadays, and ordering via mail order is the quickest and least-expensive way in these busy times. Thanks for being the great company that you are.

May 26,2014I am a teacher, artist and animal lover. I found Arcata over a decade ago and it was love at first sight that turned into an enduring relationship! Only place I could get rat food (class pets) and those vegetable nylabones they loved. I get all my avian food well below local prices including the shipping costs, for my flock of 5 in various sizes (Cockatoo, cockatiels, doves). I may buy my dog, cat and chicken food locally . . . but I buy ALL their 'extras' at Arcata! You cannot beat them for variety, availability and price. I recently got to speak with one of their customer service reps . . . Nick. Wow! What great people they got there too!

She said that Arcata is a place she used to live near, and when she found this store online, suggested i order from here. No problems. Quick. Great price. Cheers! Update: as of January 2, 2016, my second order with Arcata Pet was just the same. Uneventful is good.

May 14,2014I was having a hard time finding my Chihuahua's favorite toy (black/white latex squeeky shoe). I originally bought it at Petco who claimed that they always carry the same toys for your pets, while they did for several years we have not been able to get it for the last 2 years, they told us the manufacturer stop making it. In the meantime we spent a lot of money buying different squeeky toys for my dog but alas she would not touch or chase them and we feared she was getting depressed because she did not seem to want to play. When I decided to go on line ArcataPet.com was the only one to carry a squeeky toy that looks anything like my dogs toy. I ordered and sure enough she now is back to her oldself she greets me at the door with her best friend forever ready to play!!!! My Chihuahua and the Benskin family Thank you, Julia Benskin

May 09,2014My Sasha cat loves to play with little foam balls but they have to be replaced periodically because of claw holes. My local pet stores have stopped carrying the ones she likes. Sasha was down to her last ball and was reminding me (loudly) that it was time for replacements. I searched the internet but every other store wanted an outrageous price for cheap foam balls. I found the best prices and service right here. Give them a shot.

May 08,2014I am nursing a little piggy back to health and the vet recommended Critical Care. My current supply was running low and my schedule was very busy. I didn't know when I would have time to run down to the local Petco to purchase it. I decided to try Arcata and order it by mail. If delivery was slow, there was still time to drop and run to Petco. Turns out, it was delivered almost the next day. Wow. I am impressed and my little piggy is quite happy too (at my vet's advise, I mix it with a bit of vegetable baby food. Now my piggy waits for her next meal. wasn't that way before)..

Apr 25,2014One of my Redsided Eclectus Parrot boys has been breaking his food bowls in an attempt to impress upon me to feed him his favorites each time, every time :) UH OH, as his cage model and bowls were discontinued and no longer available. Aracata Pet to the rescue, with the hard to find bowls. But they were out of stock! I called the store and was told that they'd be back in stock soon. By the time I'd hung up, I already had an email from Arcata Pet telling me that the bowls had arrived in stock. I ordered them that evening and they were shipped out the next day. Arrived a few states North in a couple days, just in time before Bosco broke the last bowl. I also ordered some AviTec supplements and Harrison's Bird Food - all were fresh and everything arrived in perfect condition, neatly and carefully packed. The email "in stock again" notification and online ordering worked smoothly, simply, flawlessly. Painless online ordering and check-out. Fast, economical, and safe shipping. The folks at the store were friendly, warm, and helpful, and I felt as though I was ordering from "extended family" for my "avian family".
