Sadly a complete waste of time and money. Having received the new sim card I tried many times to activate it but never succeded in doing so, I eventually resorted to calling their phone support, after a few calls in trying to speak to someone, I finally spoke to a helpful woman who said she had activated it for me. The card didn't work in my car, that was why I bought it, plus I kept getting emails telling me to activate. What is more, it apparently couldn't pick up a signal anywhere near where I live, despite their coverage checker telling me I could. I cancelled the sim card as to me, it was useless. It would have been 1 star but for the helpful woman I had spoken to.
Just don't, I've been with Asda mobile for ages & my 2 girls, will not auto renew so leaves my kids with no internet, when we have 4g it works or it doesn't way to unreliable, also when I'm in Europe I never get internet there so have to use a Tesco SIM. Have to phone once a month with issues so not bothering anymore. Will get a reply asking to contact, what's the point when have done so 3 times now & still the same unreliable service.
I couldn't activate the SIM. I have asked for a refund and for information to be removed from your records. That should have been done by now!
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with ASDA Mobile's pay-as-you-go SIM card. The entire process, from purchase to attempted activation and eventual refund, has been a frustrating waste of time. My primary issue is the complete failure to receive an activation code. Despite multiple attempts, following all the instructions provided, I never received the necessary code to activate the SIM. This rendered the SIM card completely useless. I tried online, I tried calling customer service – nothing worked. This is a fundamental flaw in the service and makes the product unfit for purpose. To add insult to injury, the process of getting a refund was incredibly tedious. What should have been a simple process turned into a drawn-out affair. I specifically requested a refund to my bank account, as I had no further use for ASDA services. However, I was then informed that the refund would be issued as an ASDA gift card. This was completely unacceptable, as I only wanted my money back for a service I couldn't use. I had to contact customer service repeatedly to try and get the refund processed correctly. Ultimately, I gave up on ASDA Mobile and went with a different provider. Their SIM card activated instantly, without any hassle. This highlights just how poorly ASDA Mobile's system is working. I would strongly advise anyone considering ASDA Mobile to look elsewhere. My experience suggests a company with serious issues in its activation process and customer service. Avoid the frustration and go with a provider that actually works.
Couldn't activate sim. Put new sim in didn't get text. Tried to link new number to account and didn't get code.
Easy transfer to Asda mobile. Good customer service so far, keep it up.
Avoid . Not been able to register the sim online, despite literally dozens of attempts. Should have read the online reviews from other customers. The Asda mobile web site is not fit for purpose. Wasted £5 on a sim that cannot be used . Never had any experience like it with any other mobile SIM card provider.
Didn’t receive sim card
I’ve tried multiple times to active the sim but the activation code just won’t come through. I can’t set it up to use it.
When ordering, the system kept saying something went wrong. Each day I tried there was still a problem. I telephoned and was told to wait until the System Update had finished. I eventually ordered what I thought was a 12 month contract but when my SIM arrived it was a pay as you go. Now I have an account I cannot change to a new and better tariff.
I have had great difficulty over two weeks in getting an activation code. I was told that this problem was due to a system update which has been on going since the start of the year. Call handlers were all polite but kept giving me slightly different advice until today when I was told that they could not say when the update would be completed.

The member of staff i spoke to, Selma. She listened, was patient, and explained everything i needed to know without making me feel as if i was taking too much of her time, and i was grateful for that because am a technophobe and had a few questions.

Feb 03,2025I would not recommend Asda mobile. Their mobile website isn’t very user friendly. I press the tab I want and half the time it won’t load. I have automatic top up and haven’t used my phone at all yet the credit is gone. Twice this has happened. The phone has been used to take pictures only, in the home on WiFi. No apps installed. You call to get through and they put the phone down. The customer service advisor when I did get through was condescending and couldn’t give a clear answer and go the hump with me. Don’t bother.
