It was great to find a SIM with a genuine pay as you go tariff. Most SIM's advertised as 'pay as you go' are literally the opposite, you don't pay anything at all for texts and phone calls, just a monthly fee to keep you connected plus some mobile data.

I’ll start by saying that the plans available are good value, coverage seems good so far, and the SIM card arrived quickly when ordered. Unfortunately, the process of porting my old phone number to Asda Mobile was atrocious and left me wishing I hadn’t bothered switching at all. Whether they were having problems with the website when I tried to use my PAC code I’m not sure, but I attempted the process several times with no acknowledgement that the code had been accepted or that the process had started. I reached out to their customer service team as I didn’t want to be unnecessarily starting the process over again each time I tried to use the code, but the response was painfully slow. By the time they got back to me a few days later, I’d received an email telling me to process of moving my number had started and would be completed the next working day, at which point I’d receive a message telling me the process was complete. That message never came, and my phone number still showed as the new Asda number in my phone settings. I received some calls and texts to my old number, but not others. I continued to email back and forth with customer support while they verified my identity and tried to help me with the problem, usually waiting a couple of days for the next response to come. All this time I wasn’t sure how many messages I was missing. Finally I got an email from customer support saying that my number has been successfully ported across as far as they can see, so I guess I’ll just have to take their word for it, despite never receiving any kind of confirmation text and my number still not appearing correctly in setting or contacts, (although research shows this can be a problem with iPhones when using iMessage). Even if the process was completed successfully in the end, the time it took to get there, the interruption to service in the meantime, and the slow, unhelpful response from customer services mean I can’t recommend Asda Mobile, and in all honesty I’ll be switching away as soon as my contract ends.

I found customer services helpful and the phone service is good but I found with the ASDA mobile app I was not able to set up and link phone. I was directed by customer services to firstly set up my account on the ASDA mobile website. When this was done everything on the app worked fine.

Since 3G got turned off the signal is realy bad in quite a few places Impossible to make a call !!!

Cannot activate Sim, activation code is not been sent. Contacted customer services advised it is a known issue it may be resolved in a few days or a week.

I ordered a SIM card 21/12/24 and today 16/01/25 still not arrived and I am being charged for a month I could not physically use it.

It was and still is impossible to log on to my account….the two people on the 2732 calls were very helpful and sorted out my problems.

Have never been told on their website that the sim cannot be used in WiFi router and sharing between devices at home before committing to a contract. Really disappointed and would certainly not use it as my primary intention is to use as a mobile broadband as there is no coverage of fibres in my area. Not recommend if you are looking for this.

Terrible service. After waiting 4 weeks for a handset to not be delivered now have been told it will take up to 10 days to receive a refund.

Absolute rubbish. "WE WILL SEND YOU A CODE TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT" The sim card did not even work in my phone stood meters away from a Vodafone mast. Put in bin.

Hello Bernadet, you advised me to contact Asda contact us link on your previous comment, but this did not resolve my query. I am now going to have to take legal action against Asda mobile for non compliance of their own terms and conditions.

Absolute garbage! I have two phone numbers with ASDA mobile (black Friday deal £20 instead of £30 for unlimited everything). It's supposed to renew every month and always fails despite there being more than enough money in the account to pay for the bill 100 times over so every month I have to ring to manually renew it. Always get through to what appears an overseas call centre who reassure me every month that it will automatically renew the following month and every month BOTH of my daughters get an SMS from ASDA to say the bundle has failed. Useless company who can't do something as basic as automatically renewing a bundle. I am in the process of purchasing sim-free sims with another, better provider. SORT IT OUT ASDA. UPDATE - In response to ASDA’s reply. I have reached out every month for a year and it’s not been resolved so I won’t be wasting anymore time ‘reaching out’ when you’re clearly incapable of inputting a fix for this issue - Google ASDA Mobile Recurring Bundle fail - and you will see lots of other people have this issue.
