I received the SIM card and put it into my phone but I can't make calls and I can't see the SIM card number in my phone data. I contacted customer service via email and waited about a month with no response. I have never come across such a service company.
We have made multiple attempts to link our Asda phone number to the Asda account with several calls to their customer services. They admit a problem with their software, it is just not working for us.

The app is mostly very useful but there have been glitches recently, a payment went through from my bank but has not appeared on my balance and a continuing problem is that the £4 Talk and Text bundle isn't available on the app, I have to use the website to find and select it. I've complained but nothing has happened. Asda have now contacted me to pursue this further.

Unfortunately struggling to register PAYG number to account despite numerous online and call centre attempts. SIM arrival was prompt and whilst phone registered and can receive calls and texts, a PAYG mobile that you can’t top up via an online account isn’t ideal
Issue unresolved, and stuck trying to explain the basics to a call centre that just dont get it. (In response to the reply below, I have and I'm still waiting)

I ordered my sim 10 days before I went away. It never arrived. I can’t do anything about it because I am here for 5 weeks. So I have had to purchase a local sim it I get back to the uk
I got a sim for my son, but it fails to activate every month and I have to phone them up. Each time, they assure me that it won't happen again, but it's now happened every month for 7 months! Would not recommend
I made a brilliant choice. My Tesco provider doesn't do what Asda does. Rollever credit is brilliant. Best move I made.

Easy to open account. Easy transfer of old number. So far a great signal.
Total crap. Have had two sims on a renewable bundle, every month it claims to fail to renew and I have to buy the bundle again. Cs no idea what's going on. Have had enough and leaving for another provider.

Jan 21,20252 weeks for SIM to arrive. (informed post problems when contacted) Online account would not activate SIM. Customer services setup account when contacted. Online account still says not activated (informed their computer upgrade having problems, but for a week!). Not used asda Sim, phoned customer services to alter to a 30 days contact and cancell recurring account. Too much hassle and very unreliable, will go elsewhere.
