Aug 09,2024Not there best day. Booked 4 new tyres for 13:30, where my wife arrived for that time to be told they were expecting her for 13:00!!! But they kindly said “it’s ok we can fit you in”. With my wife leaving the car with them, I get a call at 14:01, asking where is the locking wheel nut. I said it’s in the spare wheel area where the car jack and tow eye is kept. The response from the gentleman on the phone was it’s not there, I know it’s there, have you looked everywhere in there. Answer was yes. So I then called my wife to collect the car. When I got home from work earlier than wished to check the location of the locking wheel nut, I then showed my wife of its location and hay presto a locking wheel nut staring at us. So then went back, to which the gentleman at the counter stating we can not fit you in now! Where they received my response of it was booked in and it’s not been completed due to your error, I explained that no one looked for the locking wheel nut, but he was sure he did. I then told him, there is no way you did as you would have seen it. They did complete it, finally at 5:45. Professional mechanics that are unable to locate vehicle tools, that are standard on all modern vehicles! It’s sad, as usually I have had a good experience there. But today they let themselves down. Blatantly lying to my face that they looked for the locking wheel nut.

Aug 08,2024easy enough online booking process on Asda website; the chosen fitter turned out to be very accommodating about fitting time, very friendly, efficient and went above & beyond by re-installing tyre space saver back into tyre bag and putting it into under floor storage in the boot. Left car clean.

Aug 07,2024AVOID - MAJOR ALERT. Purchased 2 tyres from Asda Tyres for ÂŁ500. The fitting etc all went well, however, 9 days later, the car went in for a service and Audi Cam flagged that the tyre tread depth was 5.5mm. Contacted Goodyear who advised that the tread depth for these new tyres should be 6.5mm. The car had been to the tyre fitters, then home and then Audi hence had only covered about 10-20 miles in total! Spoke to Asda tyres who requested pictures etc and found that the DOT numbers were also different i.e. the manufacturing dates were months apart and each tyre was from a different batch. Asda tyre's solution was that I buy 2 more tyres, pay the fitters to remove the recent ones and then send them back for inspection which could take several weeks. They couldn't exchange them! or naturally couldn't loan tyers or do anything else to help. I'm not sure if these were part worn or something or defects that Asda Tyres are buying but there is clearly something wrong. SCAM ALERT.

In the end I chose some all weather tyres (good ol' UK) & I was booked in with my local Setyres a few days later. The fitting was done within the hour & I feel I got value for money & good service.

It was very easy to order these with asda tyres. The local fitter lodge tyres were very pleasant and professional and helpful...they fitted my tyres in no time thank you.
