Feb 18,2025We decided on Blue Car Rentals after reading all the good reviews about the cars and no hidding fees. However, despite being a fine car (and we went for the cheapest one there), we were disappointed with how beated up it was. We did not expect that. The tyres were out of air, it was not properly cleaned and with a lot of rust and damage. But overall, good.

Feb 18,2025We initially booked a smaller 7 seater car as we thought we could fit. There were 5 of us but we overpacked! Good thing the staff were very accommodating and they suggested that we upgrade. At first, we were hesitant because there will be additional pay, however we decided to upgrade for our comfort. We rented the land cruiser with no regrets! The roads in Iceland are unpredictable. Snowy, windy, rocky, everything! We also bought the insurance for peace of mind. Upon returning the car, it was super smooth. No hassle!

Feb 18,2025Very easy pickup process as it’s all done online so there is no waiting in line. We picked up in the Reykjavik and dropped it off at the airport without issue. Studded tires in the winter is a must. SUV seemed brand new in quality and was spotless. Also recommend the easy park app to make it convenient to park in the capital.

Feb 18,2025After 4 trips to Iceland and another one coming this year I don't even consider another car rental company. With zero waiting time and no worries with liability waiver. I just pick the key in the key box when I arrive and drop it in the end of the my trip. Always recent cars and most competitive prices. They always respond fast to any questions by e-mail. Highly recommend.
