Our stay at The Gallery was very pleasant. All the facilities at the barn were of good quality and everything was clean and well presented. The welcome pack was generous and barn was warm and comfortable. The location is excellent, surrounded by fields and yet close to local amenities and shops.

We loved staying here for 7 nights. Dog friendly, quirky, peaceful and very comfortable. Luxury house & home magazine look. Quality beds, laundered sheets and nice touches. Shop and petrol station 2 miles away and Waitrose a bit further. Beaches close by but just walking the private driveway in is wonderful. Friendly, helpful Owners live on site

We had to cancel a booking because of a family bereavement. The company was very inflexible in letting us change the dates. They even charged us a cleaning fee for a property we did not visit.

We booked a weekend retreat with some friends and we have had an awesome time. The house that we went to and rented for the weekend was brilliant very big and spacious and also had a bonus wood burner, hot tub which was great although it was therefore difficult to manage the temperature. Overall we had an amazing experience and I would recommend to any of my other friends.

The 'barn' was very comfortable and very well equipped. Eight adults, a baby and two dogs had loads of space and yet it still felt very cosy. We had a great weekend.

Set in the quaint area of Rodborough, this is the most idyllic cottage. From the moment you step inside the front door you can feel the warmth of love and attention that has gone into making this the most comfortable stay you could wish for. Rose cottage is finished to the highest standard. All modern fixtures and fittings that are in-keeping with the look and period of the place. The cleanliness is exceptional. I had the most peaceful sleep in the most comfortable bed. What was an added bonus was waking up to the sound of wildlife. I would recommend staying here and I would return in a heartbeat, given the chance I would move in. :) Thank you Rose cottage for an amazing stay.

Great facilities, very very clean and comfortable and it had everything we needed. Was lovely and warm and cosy. I didn’t realise there are a lot of stairs into the property, just something to be mindful of if you have mobility issues. Would definitely stay again.

We welcomed in 2023 in style at Leonard Stanley House and could not recommend highly enough! The house is perfect for large groups, incredibly spacious, yet comfortable and homely. The interior is beautifully designed, sophisticated and luxurious, with nice touches everywhere. We loved the reading area and choice of books - the games room was also a big hit! The children loved the top floor bedrooms and games space - and we had the best game of sardines ever (who knew you could fit 10 people under a dining room table?!). We have gone away with large groups of friends for new year for the last 20 years so we know what you need and what works (and we can be quite particular now!). The kitchen is well equipped - it is unusual to have so many options of tableware. We therefore made full use of the huge dining room, which meant every meal felt very special, particularly New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Kirsten was fantastic when we arrived and throughout. We had one query which was resolved immediately. Kirsten was incredibly helpful. We are so grateful that we were offered Leonard Stanley House as an alternative to our original booking (due to an unexpected issue with that property) and we have found a real gem! We would definitely visit again with a bigger group. You should not hesitate to book for large groups and family special occasions.

The house was exactly as advertised - clean, spacious and very well equipped. It was 15 minutes walk from Stratford-upon-Avon which has plenty of shops and restaurants for some browsing. When we arrived the house was far too hot but the instructions for both the thermostats were for different systems so it was impossible to turn them down and the radiator in the lounge appeared to have no thermostat on it so the lounge was constantly at 24 degrees. The ledge on the bottom of the screen for the shower over the bath kept falling off meaning the floor in that bathroom got a soaking every time someone showered. Some hooks on the back of the bedroom doors would be useful to hang damp towels on. Despite these niggles I would thoroughly recommend this house if you were visiting Stratford

The perfect cottage for the ideal, relaxing getaway. Can't say enough great things about the cottage. Well kept, spacious and the best backyard for relaxing, bbq'ing and eating. Great neighbors that are friendly and helpful. Loved it.

Had a great New Year break with friends and young families. The cottage is great for groups with spacious areas and en-suites in all rooms (included Wet room with disabled access downstairs). In a good location with a short walk into Winchcombe town centre. The house was sufficiently heated including the conservatory considering it’s winter. The Pool table was great and the cottage had full Sky TV which included the sports channels which was a bonus the football fans amongst us. The owner is local and is helpful. Very Happy with our choice for this break.

This property is in an amazing location with beautiful views. On arrival on a cold day in December the heating was off and the inside temperature 11 C - not so welcoming, and as an old property took a long time to heat up. The heating instructions are also for a different system to the one now installed. There is damp damage in the living room, the dining chairs are badly stained and were dirty and the second bedroom where the boiler is smells heavily of heating oil. Prospective guests should also be aware that the property is on a very, very busy dog walking route, so be prepared for lots of barking outside! This is a well equipped property with lots of character, but not without improvements to make in presentation and management given the premium price.

Nice house in a beautiful small typical Cotswolds village. Excellent location. The cottage was very well equipped, one remark, the areas that were not immediately visible were dusty.

A listed Georgian gem! I stayed here for 4 days over Christmas as part of a 3 generation family gathering ranging in ages from 73 to 4! The property has been recently renovated and decorated to a high standard, rooms large light and spacious, a lovely garden overlooking fields, plenty of parking and very well positioned for country walks and exploring the Cotswolds. Our hosts gone the extra mile in providing a large Christmas tree and baubles too! We all had a wonderful Christmas - it was a treat to be there!

Thanks for a wonderful family Christmas. All thirteen of us had a brilliant time at Leonard Stanley House. Very impressed with Bolthole Retreats who reacted quickly and positively when the property we had booked flooded three days beforehand. Leonard Stanley House had brilliant facilities, was beautifully presented and had a safe garden for young children.

Excellent service from Bolthole Retreats from the moment we booked in August 2021 for our 2022 Christmas stay at the Suncroft. The cottage was superb, all facilities as described and exactly as the photos showed. There were 6 of us in our party, the cottage comfortably slept us and gave us space with having the 2 living rooms. We didn't see much of the surrounding area, but know it is well located to see the Cotswolds easily, all in all a great place to stay. We had an issue whilst staying, which has been promptly and satisfactory resolved,
