Aug 31,2023Had a few problems at the beginning as BBD had problems on their website with payment transactions. However, their customer service was good with them emailing me personally. The bed is ok for the price paid, with a good finish however the small divan double I ordered arrived as two separate single bases which get bolted together that I was unaware of. Additional note: We ordered our mattress through a different company and it arrived a few days after the ottoman base. On the BBD instructions it says that once the ottoman end lift is up it will only come down again when the weight of the mattress is on it. This is not the case, the ottoman will not close again unless we climb on from the headboard end and literally slide our weight down the bed to close it. This is not ideal therefore would not recommend for this reason.

Aug 27,2023After my review on 8 June, the company agreed to replace my bed with another. I waited a couple of weeks but the new bed arrived and I am very happy with it. They gave me a 10% refund for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for sorting it out.

Aug 21,2023Be warned dealing with British beds direct, who want your money but not to do their job properly. Ordered a new single bed base for my 85 year old mother and paid an additional £49 for assembly, installation and rubbish removal. Bed delivered and legs screwed on but two delivery guys refused to install under her bed leaving it in another room. Issue raised with company, they offered to return to complete installation but didn't turn up. I drove 100 miles and installed bed myself. Company refuse to repay any of the £49 even though job not carried out as paid for. There are plenty of other bed companies who do what they are paid to do, use them instead

Aug 19,2023I purchased a Shelley Upholstered ottoman bed with fluted headboard - King in sparkle duck egg. I absolutely love my bed, it looks great, high quality, loads of space underneath - it’s perfect. Ordering the fabric swatches beforehand was really helpful to make sure I picked the right colour. I only put 4 stars for 2 reasons: 1. The instructions to put together were hopeless… I guessed various steps and it turned out to be quite easy to build (on my own) but honestly I think better instructions would be a simple fix and would definitely save time. 2. The communication with the company wasn’t great - my headboard failed quality checks so they were remaking (which of course I’m grateful for) but I only found that out 5 days later because I phoned to find out where my bed was. Then the fabric I had chosen was out of stock. Again fine but someone should phone to let you know what’s going on. I emailed and then had to phone several times to chase it up which was disappointing. Those 2 points aside, I’m really pleased with my new bed!

Aug 18,2023Bed had some minor defect to the material which given I paid extra was not great however these are not in a viewable place so not worth massive mark down similarly the joining bolt holes were not made Finally the rubbish was not taken but that's the courier As for the experience it self they were 7 days a head of there own schedule the bed us amazing and the exact size and colour quoted would suggest making use of there colour swatches will happily use them again should I need any other beds or should I decide to add a headboard

Aug 16,2023Would have bee 5 but for the fact that the bedhead slots were too wide for our existing fixturesand the new ones we had to buy, in the end it took 3 days to fit at some expense.

Aug 14,2023Lovely bed arrived this morning. Took a bit of strength to put it together but all fittings worked well. Hydraulic arms were very easy to attach and the instructions were clear to put the mattress on first before using the hydraulics. Have filled half the storage section with spare duvets and pillows which were taking up space in a wardrobe in another bedroom. Very happy with customer service too. Phones were always answered and helpful operators handled queries. Delivery driver messaged to let me know they were 15 minutes away. Very helpful and great bed.
