Good products (Coffee Machine, Grinder, coffee), Good service. Highly recommeded.
I was first tempted to buy through Coffeeitalia after seeing their extensive range of products at very competitive prices on their Australian website. I was hesitant at first, as with any online transaction, so I called the telephone number and after speaking with Matteo I felt comfortable to order, which I did and paid immediately. The Pavoni machine, grinder and base arrived in a timely fashion exactly as described, it was a very happy moment. There was one small problem however, I was charged import duty and taxes when the package arrived. The purchase price was supposed to have included these charges so I emailed Matteo a copy of the invoice for the taxes I paid and explained what had happened. Within a couple of hours he had already reimbursed me for the tax and offered his most sincere apologies. To me, this speaks volumes of the true nature and ethos of Coffeeitalia. I don't know of many online retailers that are this efficient and obliging in solving the problems of their customers. In short, I am VERY happy with my experience in dealing with Coffeeitalia and would certainly recommend them to friends and family as well as the online community.
Bought an espresso machine for £600. When it arrived it leaked, so I had to send it back. I had to chase for my refund, and in the end never did get a full refund - just silence. Reading the reviews all the satisfied customers are those where things went well. When anything goes wrong I wouldn't bet on them coming up trumps. Other things you might want to think of before dealing with this company: 1 - they sell grey imports - my machine was trucked from Italy - so the manufacturers guarantee will not be honoured 2 - the extended guarantee is provided by the company, not the manufacturer - good luck if you ever need to use it
I have bought two "Bean to Cup" machines from Coffeeitalia . The first one, De Longhi EAM 3200S in 2008 which is still going strong and the latest this month the Gaggia Brera. Both times Marco has given me great advice and the service has been great. Both Machines were cheaper here than any of the other sites i checked. I have no problem recommending Coffeeitalia to anyone.
This is the first time I've ever been moved to "big up" a supplier following a web purchase but I really have been well served by this Italian company. Their web site attracted me when searching for a replacement Gaggia Classic, a coffee maker that has served me so well over the past twelve years. The listed price was even more attractive and although a trifle wary of dealing with non UK suppliers I went for it. First a technical question via e-mail which was answered so promptly that my confidence in placing an order was confirmed. Truly great service followed. The order was duly acknowledged in double quick time and I was ushered into the tracking via Fed-ex. The Gaggia was despatched on the same day a s the placing of the order. Payment was via a secure site. The machine arrived at Charles de Gaulle airport the following day and thence to Gatwick, all quite exciting. Arrival at Coventry was forecast for the following day with delivery to follow in the following 24. hours. Why wait? Delivery brought forward to the immediate making a three day transit before I was brewing late afternoon. I'm not sure how that new little plastic gizmo works in the filter tray but it certainly produces fantastic crema! Beware the knocking out doesn't send the little beaut down the drain! All in all, complete satisfaction at the best price i could find and really superb service from start to finish. Go Cafe Italia!
Like many others just starting out I did my research, reviews and recommendations on the Home Barista web site, I wanted our espresso machine and grinder to arrive in time for christmas 2012 (surprise for my husband) in the end I decided to go for the Mazer Mini and the Quickmill Anita both from Coffee Italia. Having read a lot of mixed reviews about them (quite a few negative) I decided to take the chance as a lot of the reviews were from a few years back, paid on a credit card just incase! I found Marco, I think that was his name, to be very informative but quite curt I did often feel that I was bothering him by asking for a tracking number as my order was being shipped from Italy, not a big ask considering how much money I was spending! after a few emails and phone calls I did get my tracking number and the machine was delivered as promised in time for christmas.... we have now been using our beautiful Anita since christmas eve, the machine and grinder were so well packed it was a struggle to get them out of the box, no complaints, nothing damaged and most importantly making amazing coffee at home with locally roasted coffee beans from Dard Fluid..... I would use them again and happily recommend them to friends but pay on a credit card and get your tracking number... Coffee Italia could quite easily dispel the bad reviews if they just tackled their customer service and didn't make empty promises, proving customers with tracking numbers should be provided as standard for all orders especially if being shipped from Italy, it puts the customers mind at ease, emails should be replied to promptly... I never had any trouble getting through on the phone and calls were always returned BUT no one wants to feel like a pest for asking for tracking numbers, dates of delivery etc...I hope he reads this review as they could be such a great company... Four stars as overall we are extremely happy with the machine and the price was very competitive!
Overall I am very happy with my machine and the service by Matteo. We had a few issues from the supplier (Elektra) but he was very helpful and honest about the time delay and we got it sorted out. The machine came delivered in great condition and as described on his website. The price Matteo charged for the machine was much lower than anywhere else I saw and to get a top of the range machine at a great price was perfect as I generally find if there is a 'made in Italy' stamp on any produce in Australia, retailers tend to use that as an excuse to charge hugely inflated prices, for example when I was in Italy last I was paying roughly 3-5 Euro for a bottle of red wine. The same bottle in Australia costs around $80-100 in a restaurant... The machine works great and makes a beautiful espresso, it is a lever machine so most of the quality of the espresso is in the barista and I am slowly learning the machine but this is true for any lever machine. If you want a quick easy coffee you don’t buy a lever. I would definitely come to Matteo for other purchases in the future. I only wish he sold a more variety of things such as coffee, tampers etc. Steven
I found this website by getting some advices on specialized forums. I have ordered a package made of Rancillio Silvia expresso machine + Nemox Lux grinder I am completely satisfied with this transaction: excellent package, shipping well instructed and delays respected. Regarding its competitive prices, I would highly recommend this website.
Well where do I start. On 26th December I bought a Gaggia Baby Class as our last machine sprung a leak. After the purchase from Coffee Italia I received a confirmation email which mentioned that the machine would be dispatched within 24 hours, yeh right! I waited patiently.. and waited and waited and......... Given it was the festive period I made exceptions, possibly way to many. I gave them until the 3rd January and I sent them an email, no reply so I waited a couple of days and resent the email, no reply. So I called them and eventually after about 6 or 7 attempts finally got a reply, he said that they were out of stock (nice of them to inform me) and the factory in Italy does not open until the 10th January. I got off the phone and thought about my next plan which was that I waited for my order on condition that I am compensated somehow, but he was only willing to give £10, and I wasn't accepting that due to his lack of communication and rude phone manner. I then said I wanted to cancel the order but he kept insisting and interrupting while I was talking (I despise that) and changing the subject. I had to end the conversation there. I sent emails and more emails. Eventually on the the 26th of January (your eyes do not deceive) I called again and said I wanted to cancel (again) and for some odd reason he said okay without hesitation but wanted an email confirming this. I sent this immediately and he replied saying he would refund me. After 3 days I checked to see if he had refunded me. He had, but not for the full amount. Back onto the phone again and it was back to the man I knew so well, interruptive, rude and annoying then to top it off, he hung up on me. On to the phone to Citizens advice to take the next step, by the time I was off the phone to the CAB, he had emailed me and said he would pay me the money he owed. Luckily for him. In a nutshell Coffee Italia are a very poor and badly managed supplier and most definitely would NOT recommend them.
my coffee love story Hello all coffee fellows, (sorry for my not so good english) New medical continuing researches noticed and pointed us that moderate consuming some good coffee breuvage may help Human health and some Metabolic, Cardiovascular & Neurodegenerative diseases like Diabete, Alzheimer etc. My story start then from this new concept. Struggling every day trying tirelessly to find healing for my poor Patients. But the snag is that i always hate drinking coffee ! all the coffees i've drunk at this time are very bad burned taste and bitter. By the grace of God, one day i've seen NatGeo well done documentary about illy factory & their amazing one of best world coffee. was so astonished by all this unexpected coffee science. Despite i live in a country in which majority people spent their time struggling for survival life, i am surprised thinking in these luxuries ideas, honestly feeling somehow little shame. i imagine that i was at one year-light distance from this world dream. One more time by the grace of God i Googled and found a representative of illy in my country. at the first hour in the morning i rushed out and bought there some good boxes of illy coffee. Then without waiting tried to shot this unequalled fragrance in my old dusty swiss steam espresso. unfortunately found it as usually weird & burned taste. i thought then, what happened to the original inbox marvelous perfume ? that was the first brain wave ! After lot of Googling i've learned much from home-barista.com & coffeegeek.com at that time unknown yet terms and what behind the marvelous of named Coffeegeek world, like Barista, Latte, thermostat, Pressurstat, Brass then Stainless Boiler, Vibration Pumps, PID, "4 M" rule !! then finally came the "Bean to cup" concept waoo ! all that ! where i was living all this time ? i thought ! yeah ! the goal then is to keep fragiles essential oils and aromas in the cup ... Without hesitation i rushed out to our survivor unique illy shop, then bought the "ET like" FrancisFrancis X7.1 hyperespresso machine. What was my deception when once at home i realized that the little stock of ground illy coffee first i've bought is useless with this machine, it used special capsules only from illy !! it's so outrageous ! The man gave me two capsules gift for testing. The first capsule i've tested in this almost one push_button_ready_coffee programmable machine astonished me ! waooo! i've thought, then this is the real coffee taste? ok! so i spent all my life hating coffee just because it was not well done?? it's unbelievable ! all the whole room smelt very good coffee same as first moments when we ground it ! and what's a softened crema ! this is the second brain wave ! as if i was in the second war, i struggled all the week trying to find a way to recycle these annoying capsules without succeed ! i've found then it's unfair to be stuck with them and not very environmental friendly no one youtube's crazy guy out there have already done it. was so disappointed. Can't gave up now ! i am say. so almost one month during i've spent all the time Googling. Then i've fluttering from: First Breville BES860XL Barista Express Espresso Machine with Grinder to Francis Francis X7 Ground machine to Rancilio Silvia set and grinder to La Pavoni Europiccola & Professional Lever machine sometimes on the way suprinsing me dreaming about Rocket Espresso Giotto or R8, Elektra T1 Sixties Then one day a Good fairy made me met with Coffeeitalia.uk website i was so happy to find that they have the lower price out there, this let me then dreaming to buy the isomac Tea III new Cool Touch. Miraculously a charming Gentleman named Marco respond promptly and patiently with great professionalism and kindness to all my annoying questions, make my dream become reality. i've bought then the set isomac tea III cool touch + Mazzer Coffee Grinder Doser MINI A And yes i recognize that coffeeitalia is not a one push button firm, but let us be serious Sirs, marvelous women and men of coffeeitalia team work tirelessly behind scene just to satisfy us. Believe me coffee fellows i'm not here to criticize anyone but i just wanted write this review to give my testimony and simply say to coffeeitalia.uk team especially Brave Marco Thank you Man!, you just make me so happy in this year of 2013 ! and go buy there without hesitation. it's all of the best Thanks one million time All my Best wishes to you and your family Long life to coffeeitalia ! Docteur Dave V. (Ophtalmologist M.D)
The service from CoffeeItalia was excellent! My new Isomac Tea was delivered within a week and I'm now making great coffee at home. Can't believe they could ship it from Italy faster and cheaper than a local mob could! Can't recommend them enough!
Very good service. I would recomend this online store.
An excellent machine except the granulated coffee becomes humid and blocks the machine from time to time.
I purchased my Gaggia Brera machine and Marco was really helpful in helping me choose. If you are spending a large amount of cash, its important to get it right and yes I got it right perfect cafe quality coffee at the push of a button Ringrazio il mio amico
i ordered an ice cream machine on the wednesday before xmas, obviously it was a xmas present. it was a late descision to get it and after trawling the internet sites i decided to purchase it from coffee italia. the machine looked exactly like the magimix one but was cosiderably cheaper. at the point of ordering i wasnt aware that the machine was to be sent from italy, but it was dispatched via fed ex and was trackable. as i said i ordered it on the wednesday fron italy, delivery was around the £10 mark, and fed ex actually tried to deliver it on the saturday. 3 days from italy if i had ordered it from scotland at this time of year it probably wouldnt have arrived within the week. safe to say my first batch of frozen yoghurt was made ready for xmas day. it is a very good machine, easy to use. thankyou coffee italia for a very pleasant shopping experinence.
Completely satisfied with the service received. Replies to my email questions answered by return. Product delivered on date stated, securely protected and in perfect condition
I have not yet tried the After Sales, and hope it's as good as the sales. Sales is easy, after sales is the challenge.
Spent a bit of time looking for a replacement for a Gaggia Cubika. Settled on the Rancilio Silvia v3. Cafeitalia's website maybe doesn't represent the company in the best light because of the obvious italian translation in much of it. However a few emails, and a phone call put my mind at rest, despite the view on some websites that these guys don't understand customer service. They were able to offer great value, the machine has manufacturing date of Oct 2012, its got a UK plug fitted, the extras were all there in the box,and it comes FedEx web tracked from Italy in 3 days packaged better than some tv's! Rancilio's bullet proof box sat inside a tank of a box filled with foam. Packaging is just as they say on their website and they are rightfully proud of saying how good it is. The guys have been quick to respond, and i cannot speak for any problems..the machine is brand new tested &validated and working well. It has a warranty is for 2years..and if needed i believe these guys would honour their commitment. Like some on this website i too feel that some companies need a fair shot , and its also nice that cafeitalia exceeded my expectations. Buying through the web means you are going to have to manage expectation...but this company delivered. Grazie mille
This was my first purchase from Coffeeitalia. The Rancilio Silvia arrived in half the time advised. It's a very impressive machine: do believe the hype. It's amazing value compared to what you'd pay in the Eurozone: around £100 less and with the added value of a free creamer group head plus three large bags of coffee. A minor query was answered and solved within 24 hours. A very satisfied punter.

Jun 06,2013I'd done a lot of research prior to choosing an Elektra MCaL and Coffeeitalia had the best price by a long, long way. For a complete novice who hadn't even used a semi-automatic or automatic machine before, I've already started knocking out some quality shots and am completely enamoured with the espresso journey ahead of me with this machine. Delivery was also prompt considering it was going from Italy to inland Australia. I'll be sure to use Coffeeitalia again for parts and maybe a new grinder at some point in the future.
