Life's too short to ride bad bikes and, at Cycle Republic, we're dedicated to providing you with a ride that won't let you down.
Just had fantastic service from the CR store in Bloomsbury. Having a load of problems with the rear shift; noisy and jumpy. My DIY was not up to the mark. Got frustrated on my ride in this morning and so went to the store. Guys could not have been better. Fitted me in their schedule and (of course) made it look easy without making me feel even more foolish and useless! Big thanks to David at the store.
I recently bought a Boardman SLR 8.9 Carbon road bike from Cyclerepublic.com and being honest had a number of issues with it, from the seat not locking in place for any more than a ride or two, the handlebars having the same issue and having 3 punctures in around 5 weeks. I'm not going to go into massive detail but a complaints agent (Barry) contacted me by phone and he was nothing short of excellent. He advised there was a manufacturers fault with the seat and it had been fed back already and the factory were taking steps to address this design flaw. He would send me out a clamp which would hopefully solve this, but if it didn't a redesigned clamp from the factory should be available in a few weeks. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained to me some of the different types of tyres that were available to me and also offered options on what I could do with the puncture issue, as well as offering his opinion on each of the options. It's my only experience so far with Cyclerepublic.com and I couldn't have expected any more.
Staff were helpful enough and store looked very dapper. I bought a new CO2 inflator, cartridges, Garmin mount, some inner tubes, a spare micropump and some gels etc. However. I picked a couple of pairs of cycling shoes to try. The chap brought me out the requested sizes. He unboxed the Sidi shoes but he didn't know how to work the Boa dial. Didn't make a scene of it, but I showed him how it worked so he wouldn't be embarrassed in future. The store should have basic training that covers something as basic as the dial to tighten your shoes.
This is my second review on Cycle Republic Margaret Street, the customer service and the professionalism at the Margaret Street branch just got even better with the new workshop manager Wayne and the branch assistant manager Jacob. I am one of those cyclist who has problems after problems with my bikes, many occasions Wayne went the extra mile to make sure my bikes are looked after and Jacob never too busy to help. If only Cycle Republic sells Brompton too, that will be the only bicycle shop I will go to! 5 stars!
Reading Station Worst workshop I ever been bad communication between staff ,they wasted my time hold the bike for couple days and They never touched it !!they made me quote first day then somebody else called me second day gave me another price even I accepted coz I need my bike for work they haven’t start doing it following day is completely waste of time ,, not recommended at all ! I had to pick up my bike same as I left it 3 days to other bike shop is town he fixed it in 45 min !
Ordered cycle online with delivery time 2-3 days and we will contact you to collect from your designated branch. A week passed and contacted customer service who advised that delivery would be longer as they still had to receive the cycle from the distributor, it will take two weeks. Two weeks passed and contacted customer service who couldn't believe I had not received the cycle yet. The irony is, I ordered through Cycle Republic having had a bad experience with Halfords customer service in the past only to discover, it is the same group. Customer service said they would call me back in an hour. I called them back after 3 hours to be told that it was a glitch in the system and the cycle is still not delivered but at the distribution centre. I cancelled the order.
Ordered a gtech bike because they were offering on their website a free additional battery with every gtech bike plus on this day were doing 20% deals beacause of the tour de france, orderd bike, got order number but finace page had ptoblems so had to contact them in morn. They said couldnt do the 20% as althoigh was their fault the code was only for one day plus the free battery finished 3 weeks prior even though they were still offering it onnwebsite, so dont believe any offers until u have it in writing as website lies and call centre wont honour any order.
Bristol centre store Provided the same level of arrogant service which unfortunately seems to be common across lots of bike stores. Took a long time to do the service (48 hours longer than promised) then declared they hadn't done much to the bike, despite me asking for a back wheel check. The man serving seemed unsure whether it had been looked at, and only then cleaned the chain as they 'forgot'. Did not leave me at all convinced a full 'silver' service had been completed.
Excellent customer service
Manchester store. Love the place, cracking customer service, really knowledgable staff giving good practical advice.
Ordered bike which came at a great price and on the day specified. Fully assembled except for need to straighten handlebars and put on pedal which were easily done. Very pleased
Best place to fix bikes!!
Ordered childrens' helmet online. Arrived badly packed and broken Immediately took photos and asked for replacement. Told I'd have to send the old one back first. Immediately took the original one to their courier pick-up, and explained to them that I needed the helmet by the weekend (child's birthday). By this stage I've sent photos, sent the broken helmet back, and told them of the timeframe. Then their courier is late picking it up, which apparently is my problem, so they still won't send a replacement. Finally, a few daya later, they tell me they've ordered the replacement. Also provided a refund - nice surprise! Later tell me the refund was issued in error, but because I've been refunded they now won't send the replacement - so I should just order another one. Like I could have done over a week ago, and not missed the birthday? Wicked, thanks guys... Even if it's a few quid more expensive elsewhere, avoid these cretins.
Telephoned to ask for help with buckled wheels after being hit by a car this morning and told fully booked and nothing they could do - even though I am now stranded and can't get home. Not great customer service and will take my money elsewhere from now on!
Vey bad experience. Every 6 months I do a full maintenance to my bike because I commute every day to work. Two weeks ago, I did a Silver service in Margaret Street and my bike ended worst than before the service. First, the bike ended with a strong sound on the hydraulic brakes, because the calliper had oil in it. They didn't clean it. The back derailleur was moved to 1-2 cms, the front derailleur was badly installed, generating friction with chain. Generating a bad experience on the different changes. Overall they changed the cassette, chain, brake pads, and inner cables and not the outer cables (cost £1 each). Also, they delivered a jumping chain! I showed the error two times to the mechanic, and it wasn't able to suggest a new chainring, that was main the problem. I spend almost £100 for nothing, I needed to spend almost the same amount of money for fixing the error in another bike shop. Very disappointing.
The West End branch! Where do you hire so ignorant and unprofessional amateurs?! Do you actually do a special contest how to deliver an awful, disgusting service from A to Z? I don’t like writing bad reviews but your company has serious problems and the worst manners doing business.
Branch - Purley Recently purchased my Son a Voodoo Hoodoo. Bike was built and ready for collection next working day. On the back of that I then took my own MTB in for a silver service and a couple of mechanical fixes. Didn’t book it in, just turned up, dropped the bike in and it was ready the next day. Excellent service and bike looked as good as new! Will be a regular customer for some time!
I think this team are 100% professional encouraging supportive and bend over backwards to help you. Shop has a great atmosphere I think this is the best bike shop in Edinburgh.
Ordered my Garmin online from cycle republic as it was 25% cheaper than anywhere else. 23 hours later Garmin delivered. Great service with rapid delivery. Thanks

Aug 16,2018Honestly the best customer service i have ever received. Took my bike in to be repaired before work, had a call within a few hours where they explained what was wrong and what they fixed (also did a few minor bits for free), and was able to pick it up at lunch. Friendly, approachable staff who are more than happy to explain everything.
