Jun 08,2021The scheme is a fantastic idea but the cycle company quite badly let it down. I placed the order once I’d received my scheme voucher on 06/05. I also ordered lights and a set of mudguards, for which I phoned the company once I’d placed the order to have the guards fitted. The reason I did this was, I’m no mechanic and didn’t want to damage the bike. Speaking with the advisor I was told that I should change the size of the guards I had ordered to the next size down, to which I agreed as he had all the correct information. I was informed that the guards would be fitted and a delivery date was set for the following Monday. On arrival, 10am (very happy) 10/05 I opened the box with glee expecting the bike to come out of the box with only pedals to fit and handlebars to straighten to find the guards still in the packing go me to fit. I got onto Tredz who I purchased the bike through to be informed that although I had indeed requested the fitting that hadn’t happened but if I took the bike and guards to my local cycle store Tredz would actually reimburse me for any costs. Took the bike down the following day to be told that the guards I had ordered were actually the wrong size and I needed the next size up. It took another 3 phone calls and 2.5 hours of my time to get my order sorted. Yes I was reimbursed the fitting costs and yes I was given a £20 voucher, which I have already used but I don’t feel this really covered my time, money for phone calls or the frustration and anxiety caused me by someone not being bothered to read and carry out instructions.

May 27,2021Great and easy process. The instructions are straight forward and I did not have to wait long. Great that you can log in and see where you are and what step is coming next. For those that are still thinking about it: got for it! Got a great bike that I can pay back slowly.

When i've worked it out how the scheme will help me save money whilst acquiring my first bike, at the end of the scheme, it will definitely help me save a lot of money and make me fitter at the same time.

Apr 29,2021I recently used Cyclescheme when I purchased a cycle through the Cycle to Work scheme and they could not have been more efficient, helpful and friendly. After an appalling experience having ordered my new bike from Evans which never showed up, I asked Cyclescheme for assistance and within a working day they had issued me with a new voucher and taken up the 'fight' with Evans themselves .... and even assisted me very efficiently and in a very friendly manner in sourcing an equivalent bike with a different supplier (all within one day) A very appreciative thank you to Rob and Andy who are the two gentlemen I dealt with

Apr 21,2021Really straight forward process and from application at work to getting my certificate took a week. The hard part was finding a bike in stock! Keep in mind that the bike needs to to be close to the certificate amount as you can not add on a personal contribution.

Jun 14,2021Applying & obtaining your voucher was extremely easy, i had mine within a week. Finding the right size & model of bike requires a little more work, suppose the scheme is a victim of its own success as demand is outstripping supply.
