Apr 05,2024My dpf warning light came on so browsing the internet found this company with a great rating on Trustpilot. So booked them to come out a few days later with an initial charge of £175 going upto £360 on completion. Whilst waiting I took my Skoda Yeti for a good run and lo and behold the light went off. I looked in more detail and found that to cancel and get a refund this had to be done within one hour of making the booking. I was well past this but thought I will get a full check and clean so withhout any alternative choice anyway still go ahead. The operative came as booked. Left him to it and he started doing his initial test. 10 to 15 minutes later door bell rang. He tells me there is nothing wrong and that I must have cleared it with the run and consequently no further action required. Good news but I cannot believe I have been charged £175 for this single action. Yes I totally accept there has to be a call out charge but £175 for under 15 minutes to do a test is surely way over the top. I have sent an e-mail to the company asking any chance of a partial refund but as others before me have stated there has been no response from them whatsoever. I wish now I had looked in detail at the poor reviews and not just taken the rating. Seeing how many bad ones there have been over recent weeks I now fully understand why. My advice make sure you are fully aware of your needs and think twice about booking this company to solve them. UPDATE following DPF Fixers response, which is detailed below, in reply can I point out that within my review I fully accepted there should be a call out charge. I queried the high amount and I still do even allowing for the reasons you have given. As regards not finding my e-mail my complaint was done on the contact form on your own website so surely it has to be in your system somewhere. A final point is had I been able to cancel the next day, when the fault was corrected by the run I took my car on and not just given one hour after the initial booking to do so, all the reasons you have given to justify the charge wouldn't have occurred would they. Can I stress I would then have still, at that point, accepted a nominal call out charge.

Apr 04,2024I'm not mechanically minded and this caused me a great deal of anxiety. However, the chaps I spoke to from DPF fixer were honest and open which immediately put me at ease. They spoke me through what would happen and how I'd pay for the procedure. I paid my deposit and Danny (local to Birmingham) was here promptly the next morning shortly after 8am. He fixed the issue within 20 minutes and to say I was relieved was an understatement. He spoke me through what he had done and how my car came to be in the position it was in. He handed me some after care literature that will now hopefully keep me from following the same path again. Excellent service, friendly, understanding and honest. Could not have asked for more. Apr 03,2024From start to finish my experience with dpf fixer was fantastic, I was abit concerned putting my trust into them after reading the odd bad review but I took my chances, and after being quoted £2000 in quickfit for a new dpf that I simply couldn’t afford, I was stunningly surprised to find out today i in fact did not need a new dpf and it didn’t even need a clean I simply just needed a new sensor, Danny who came to do my full diagnostic on the car was fantastic such a lovely guy constantly kept me in the loop and his honesty was incredible, I almost paid £2,000 to quickfit but went with my gut paid £125 for a call out fee and couldn’t be happier, highly recommend this company. Massive thank you again to Danny

On speaking to a chap called Alex i said i was phoning up to enquire on behalf of a friend what sort of prices it would cost when he said he couldn't talk to third parties as that was a rule of theirs? On asking why was that i was quickly cut off!! Not very profesional or polite.

Apr 01,2024Citroen Dispatch Van went into "Limp Mode" I took it to a local garage, they said they could fix it and failed to do this twice, cost me quite a bit too. I did some research and found various companies online. I rang DFP Fixer, spoke to Matt who was so helpful, I got it booked in for the next day, mechanic was brilliant, arrived on time, very courteous and explained the whole procedure. The van is now running so well, we will in future take more care with the fuel we use on a diesel van. Great to know this company are out there and will be letting people know not to use local garages use a specialist that come to your home/work. Thank you so much.

Mar 30,2024The fact that they come to you is a big bonus. Jamie was a nice guy, really pleasant and got the job done quickly even though I was told by a garage it probably couldn't be fixed. I was invited to stay while he did his job but I was cold. Called me when he had finished and showed me videos and pictures of the process. So happy to have my car back on the road. I've been recommending them to everyone. Thanks guys

Kept us updated on the day booked of their expected arrival time and they were very prompt and efficient. Zach, the engineer, offered a great service and a lovely lad who explained everything to us. Mar 29,2024The car displayed a red warning light advising me that the DPF was full. I phoned a couple of local garages, one of which told me that I had to have the vehicle towed to him and a replacement DPF would cost me £3,500….! Neither garages could book me in for weeks leaving me without a vehicle. Luckily, I found DPF Fixer on line, gave them a ring on Wednesday and they sent Dave, the engineer to my home today (Good Friday). Dave was extremely professional and explained the process to me and then began diagnosing and cleaning the DPF. We then took the vehicle for a road test to ensure the cleaning process had cleared the filter and the regeneration was working correctly. The process from start to finish took about an hour and I now have my lovely ‘Disco’ back on the road…! Many thanks Dave for an excellent job.
