EV charging cable wasn’t reading in the Egg/Indra unit. Egg arranged replacement charging cable from Indra within days. Service has been exemplary. A world class example of a UK company delivering outstanding resolutions via people like Aiofe Thomas. Cohesive alignment with Indra, a sure way of creating customer loyalty and building long term value. Egg is now my first choice for solar panels, when I have enough pennies in the jar for those.

installation was a little chaotic with several dates offered and changed but all the installers were vey good. App appears to be working fine and the charger has worked on the boost setting but from now onwards we will be using the schedule to take advantage of cheap overnight electricity
Probably the best customer service that I have ever experienced. Friendly and helpful with a willingness to do everything possible to get it right, with follow-up calls to make sure you are a happy customer. When I reported my new charger would error when charging on a schedule, they made sure it was rectified within hours and with call to let me know so. Highly recommended? Absolutely!
The price for the charger (Egg badged Indra Smart Pro) and install is good. Was originally higher when I signed up but price came down and, when asked, Egg reissued the contract so I would pay the new, lower price. Install was ok…. It’s a photo survey and they didn’t pick up that I needed an isolator installed by the network operator. Day of install was ok but had to call out electrician as something was out of place in fuse board which was noticed after engineer left - Egg refunded me the cost of the electrician‘s call out and fix charge. The instruction from the engineer was to scan a QR code and download an app - turns out the app wasn’t ‘live’ so only a web interface available for the first few months. Overall not a brilliant experience with the install. Charger worked fine for a couple of months then packed in. Took a good few weeks to be sorted with an engineer visit and the solution was to replace the charger. Since then it has mostly been doing as expected but in the last few months has intermittent connectivity issues which need one or more reboots to fix. The app is ok and easy enough to use. Customer support seems better now and emails will be answered over the weekends. Overall the price is quite good but I guess you get what you pay for and I can’t say the charger is as reliable as I would have hoped for. Not having confidence that your charger’s worked overnight and you may not have the expected battery level isn’t great.
Great electric charger way better in terms of reliability and setting timed charging than our more expensive Andersen charger! I love the interest free credit, great quality install and lovely support from Nessy too!
The application process was very smooth when filling out the survey. I had to get isolation switch installed which wasn’t a problem and once I had this installed I had spoken to Nessy. She honestly is the kindest representative I have spoken to helped me with any questions I had. Once I had informed her within hours I received a phone call for installation. Would recommend this company to anyone. Thank you so much.
I recently purchased a fully electric car, and was using public charging stations to charge it after working a night shift. I wanted to get a charger installed but was unsure about which one and the cost to get one installed, as I got a new car I did not have the funds to get one installed straight away. Did some research and found that majority were pay in full including installation which just did not work for me. Until I found crackinenergy.com LTD t/an Egg.I found that the cost could be spread out in easy affordable payments. WINNING. I went on to YouTube and watched a few videos on the Indra EV and loved the visual look of the product straight away. Completed the application form along with paying for the surge protection and the following day I got a call from Egg letting me know there was a cancellation and they could install today. Within an hour the engineer was round and finished with 2 hours. Quick installation. The engineer worked hard to get the EV installed and it was a very cold day to be working outside. He was polite and courteous. The journey log on my application updated and the next part would be the commissiong of the EV connecting to the electric meter etc which was two weeks later. Not all bad as I had suffered worse early morning charging in the cold. The electrician arrived at 11.30 and was wrapped up by 12.45. He was lovely. Friendly. Polite could not fault him what so ever. Once complete told me about the APP to download and I was all set to charge my car at home. Following that I received a follow up call from Egg on the Thursday. Just to ask if there were any problems which they weren't and how am I finding it,I needed to understand the mechanics of the charger and now also switch to an EV tariff. All in all, No complaints from me. I would certainly go to Egg for my next EV charger when I move home.
Firstly, the ordering process is seamless, easy interface for getting your product ordered. Compared with other EV charging companies, Egg were by far the quickest to be able to get one installed. Absolutely no hassle with installation, engineer was great and we were informed when he would be here, and he was. Now... we did have a few issues with the charger. So I was straight on the phone to Egg and Chris Orton was absolutely brilliant, ensuring things were sorted straight away. He did everything above and beyond his role and if I was Egg, I would be looking at superior roles for Chris to do, because he cares, is an excellent communicator and does his job to the highest standard, he is an asset to the company. With most companies nowadays, when you ring up with an issue, you usually wait an hour on hold to get through to someone, with Egg, you have a short wait and the call handlers are genuinely interested in getting your issue sorted. I definitely would recommend Egg. A, the charger paid monthly is great value. B, installation was quicker than any other I found on the market. C. the support from staff if you have any issues is better than any I have encountered elsewhere.
Almost flawless installation - the first unit was faulty but the engineer came back a few days later and replaced it. Now running perfectly and I'm enjoying cheap charging overnight.
Do not buy the indra charger!!!! I bought my charger through egg (who have been ok but overall service is lacking due to indra). I have had missed installation appointments and an engineer failed to turn up yesterday to check the issues I have reported with the charger. The egg installer (Mal) who did end up installing my charger was fantastic and did a really great job, just a shame the charger itself is completely useless. I have had nothing but problems since I placed my order and issues with the charger. I wish I had looked at the indra reviews before I bought as it seems it is a common problem. My charger fails to charge my car at the scheduled times, maybe only works 1 out of 5 times I try to charge - complete pot luck if it charges! Or either cuts out mid charge and adds 10% if I am lucky. Last week, I had the car plugged in 3 nights in a row and all 3 nights, it failed to charge. It has lost connectivity multiple times despite being located right next to my router and my signal strength being excellent. Also had to reboot the charger multiple times at the mains power. Indra have reported back to egg that there are no reported faults on the charger and it must be my car - absolute rubbish! I've not had a single issue connecting my car to external chargers and there's no way the reports are clear considering the number of times it has lost power and/or wifi. To add insult to injury, I then received an 'arrears' email stating I was in arrears with my payments, despite the direct debit been taken 4 days previously as it had been every other month - not great.... An overall really poor charger with even poorer customer service. I just want my money back so I can go elsewhere as this charger is causing me no end of issues and it doesn't seem Indra are taking any responsibility. I pay £3 a month for support services and had zero support - complete waste of money.
Egg arranged everything that was needed to facilitate the charger installation, including upgrading of my meter cabinet installation to provide the necessary isolation fuse/switch beforehand to allow their team to work on the mains supply from it. All was progressed without delay and Nessy at Egg kept me informed about the process and was very helpful throughout. I'm pleased with the charger and how well everything was arranged in a timely fashion.

Quick and easy quote process, they asked me to take photos of my consumer unit and spotted i was missing an isolator, they arranged an appointment to install the isolator and when complete booked in the charger fitting. Fitting was smooth and extremely neat inside and out. Indra charger was fitted which looks good and is working with no issues. The Indra app is rubbish (but thats not eggs fault), i assume the app will get better but is clearly an early build. Spreading the cost of the charger is a great option if you want it.

I’m surprised to see negative reviews about this company. I’ve had a great experience from the sign up till the end of the installation of my EV charger 🔌. Customer service was was really good and communication was very consistent. Installation appointments was very quick and the engineer was decent. My charger is working well as we speak and Will highly recommend this company
