Fast delivery and installation of charger, charger stopped working 2 days after installation, egg very professional and sorted a house visit to sort out the problem, would have been 5star only for the hiccup All working now happy customer

Installation classed as dangerous. As I write this, an electrician is currently reviewing all the electric sockets and supply, including the installed car charger. The connectors used in the installation and used in all installations are not to standard and are classed as uninsulated connectors. This is the official quote from Morgan Lambert, the firm dealing with assessing all the electrics. -- Looks like the contractor has used the following connectors: Ensto insulation-piercing-connectors, sliw50 More info' on IPCs for reference: unable to post, link not allowed in review. Quotes taken from above article: "Therefore, they are outside the scope of the standard and this type of IPC should not be used in consumers’ installations and on PVC consumer tails in particular." & "The cut end of the branch conductor is protected with an insulated cap sheath that slides onto the conductor, technically this constitutes non-sheathed cables and should be enclosed to provide IPXXD or IP4X protection in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 521.10.1 of BS 7671:2018+A1:2020." -- Furthermore, the cover to one of the connectors, into the main supply fuse had been broken off during installation. I did question this at the time, but they said it would be fine and taped it back on. This should have been completely replaced. This has resulted in the main supplier coming out to refit certain aspects, as the electrician can not touch the main supply, at quite an extensive cost. Egg need to stop being cheap and have their installers trained properly and install equipment professionally. I'm sure they will reply to this, as state that the certificate proves that it was to standard. However, the connectors used are not, therefore making the entire installation a fire risk. The connectors should not be used for this type of installation.

Easy to sign up online, everything went smoothly as planned including additional parts installation. Engineers are very skillful and professional. Very pleased with the entire experience. Highly recommend!

Nonexistent service all done through email. £3 a month service charge to cover you for any issues but we've waited well over a month to get an issue sorted. I would strongly advise against using egg.

Took 4 weeks from ordering at the end of August to install at the end of September. Great install and service so far. Charges car well and quickly.

Accessible to all budgets through monthly payments. Great install and updates on progress. Contractors where brilliant and gave updates and charger placed in the area wanted. Highly recommended

When the contractor failed to install properly the service from Egg was great and an engineer quickly arrived to complete the job.

The communication, especially from Ilona Rothwell and Mia Wood has been fantastic, they do what they say and keep in touch at all times and respond quickly, they are 5 Stars and a credit to the company, Thank you ladies The reason for 4 stars was on the installation side from the install partners, I had a failed appointment due to getting stuck at a previous appointment but I had no contact so the ladies above chased and found out for me 2nd appointment the fitter was sent with the wrong charger so had to change after he had fitted it although he did a fantastic job and was no trouble but meant he was here longer and I guess would make him late for next appointment I recommended Egg to a colleague and his experience was great Egg 5 stars Install partners need to come up to Eggs level especially with communication

Easy from start to finish. From taking photos of my property to then organising a fitting date - everything was so simple. Thanks to the installer (can’t remember his name sorry) as he explained everything in detail & cleaned up after himself.
