Nov 15,2023Really good communication throughout the install process, Mia and the team were very helpful and prompt with their responses. Charger works well. Had a little mishap with my installation needs but in reality that was down to my lack of clarity with certain information I gave. Would recommend to a friend for sure.

Nov 14,2023They've cracked it - my energy use has dropped enormously with my EV charger and solar panels and the team have been a pleasure to deal with. We've been looking to get an EV and solar for a while but with so many providers out there, it has felt like a minefield and we didn't know who to go with. Egg do both and we love the friendly nature of the brand, everything was well explained online, they have financing and were easy to get a quote from so we decided to go with them. We got our EV charger installed back in August but unfortunately the car didn't come until last month so we couldn't test it out. The EV charger installation experience was great: - Easy to use website - Financing option available - Amazingly helpful team - Great installation - I haven't had to call for any service or support as since I've got my car as the charger just works For solar: - Super simple online journey to get a quote - Conversations with the sales team after our first quote were great, the team are very friendly and knowledgeable. We want to save money, but also we want the system to look great so the team recommended an option for that. - The contract was easy & paperwork non-existent as everything was handled by Egg. - We got a call to say that the team were able to start installing within a week after the paperwork had all gone through with our network. - The installation team were great and a pleasure to deal with We're now only using off-peak energy, during the day, the solar powers us working from home and fills the battery up to keep us going in the evening. Due to the time of year and sunlight hours, we haven't generated enough to charge the car regularly, but we have the off-peak tariff for that. We haven't had an energy bill yet but I've been tracking on my app and we've only been using off-peak energy. Compared to normal energy use + fuel for the car, I imagine our outgoings will drop by 90%. It's the green life for us!!

Never normally leave reviews but need to in this case as it really was a great service. Easiest way and best way is via email as one thread with all Conversation on. Highly recommended

Nov 08,2023Great customer support. We recently got EV charging point installed from Egg. Been chasing my current energy supplier to fit isolator for past 3 months but no response. After speaking with Egg they installed it within 2 weeks and my EV charging point is all up and running. Would highly recommend their service. - Leela

Nov 03,2023I was initially sceptical about the charger as I read a lot of negative comments here on trust pilot that I almost cancelled the installation. However, my experience seems to be different as the whole process has been seamless without hitches. The installer Ola did a great job and tidied up afterwards. He ensured the charger was working before he left. I haven’t used the charger for long enough to comment on speed of charging and the app. I will recommend it anyway

Oct 28,2023I must start this review by saying I can be a tricky customer, I ask far too many questions and want to go through a lot of scenarios. Egg surpassed my expectations and I would recommend them to anybody considering solar. Our story: My wife and I had been looking for solar for a while but many companies we spoke to, and horror stories we'd heard from friends and relatives, made us worry about the size of company you'd be dealing with and whether they'd stick around if things went wrong. Egg interested us because of their competitive prices and their nationwide approach. When you first use Egg for Solar, they employ the OpenSolar app to provide you with a wealth of information, mockups of how the equipment will look etc. The person I spoke to was willing to consider everything I threw at them, probably provided 8 different scenarios in the end after I requested tweaks or new thoughts came to me - their patience and willingness to test scenarios, and the speed with which they gave the information, was all a breath of fresh air. Similarly, we had a lot of discussions with our Sales person (Charlie) who again showed a lot of patience and willingness to change things if we wanted. We wanted to check what bird-blocker they used, Charlie got a quote to us the next day with SolaSkirt (i.e. a nice looking edge to the panels, and not the cheap option many companies sell with a massive markup). So, we went ahead and ordered, and were passed to a new contact (Samantha S) who helped arrange a date, got the required information for the G99 and helped us book in our installation date and then... everything happened as they described, the scaffolders came when they said, the installers came when they said, did the work to a professional standard, and the day after they finished the scaffolding was removed. Having done about 20 home renovation projects this year this was ridiculously efficient, nothing went wrong. After installation we got all our documentation from Samantha in no time at all. Every other person we've spoken to about their experience with other providers has said how long this took - we got it all before the first (and only) invoice! I was more concerned that I'd missed the invoice but Samantha took care of everything before I was charged, I had fantastic contact throughout, every question was answered and phone calls were always on the table if it was something I'd prefer to talk through. People moan that a lot of companies take payment and then don't want to know you, can't be reached by phone, don't want to do the complex cases and just want to sell a standard package and move on... Egg were the complete opposite of this. They were patient, did what they said they'd do, were always helpful, and provided everything from product sheets to MCS certificates before I was charged a penny. Fantastic experience for me.

Oct 21,2023The process from order (placed on the 23/07) to installation was protracted, poorly managed and communicated: Order was placed on the 23/07. The installation itself went very well on the 18/10. I have little confidence in their internal feedback system as Egg has yet to contact me on this regard.

Oct 19,2023The installation team were great. However we were told the team would arrive at 9am, they didn’t come until 11.40 which completely ruined our plans for the afternoon. The customer service team member was a bit passive aggressive in her email to us. But, the actual installation team were really good and our appliance (so far) is working on well.
