I was disappointed that it took so long to set up charger appointment due to the fact Egg does not have site appraisals. After much back and forth email exchanges, Egg decided that a site inspection could take place and everything after that was super and the engineer excellent. I would recommend that Egg be able to arrange site inspections and appraisals instead of asking for pictures and videos as it was a real pain. I live in the South East which I suspect is a problem for Egg?
From ordering the charge point to being fully installed the whole process was smooth with no issues I would definitely recommend egg

Although it’s been a bit dragging at the beginning due to some miscommunication and had my installation postponed a couple of times, I have to say Egg really gave me a perfect installation eventually. The customer service has been absolutely fantastic, special thanks to Bryanna, Bradley and Ilona for their amazing support and quick problem solving. I definitely recommend Egg for ev chargers! Communication with Egg and the install process was great for the main part. Had to chase about when the isolator was being fitted and only found out the day before or was happening, think this was Comms from the third party. The work carried by both the guy fitting the isolator and then the charger fitting was great and went smoothly.
Fantastic experience. Was very nervous about an electric car and charge point and almost cancelled but a quick explanation from Ilona Rothwell and was good to go. Pre checks were easy and I heard from Pure EV the installation partner within a day. Pure EV spoke me through the process too. The installer James was fantastic, took time to explain everything to me before and during the install, power was off less than 5 minutes and then he set the app up on my phone. They have taken the power straight from the meter box and split in a consumer unit which looks great and so much better than cabling running through the house. I then had a follow up with the certificates etc arriving very quickly and a check in to make sure all was working as expected. Overall, very easy and took the stress out of getting the EV sorted as it is very overwhelming in the beginning.
The worst experience I've had with any company. Can't speak to anyone in customer services, complaints team take weeks to respond. Charger failed over and over again from day one. Avoid
Easy to request charger installation and get everything sorted online, sadly when it comes to post-service it has been a nightmare. We are having issues with the charger not getting power and even though we pay for "Egg plus", there wasn't an ETA of when an engineer will come to get this sorted, meaning we couldn't use our EV until they booked someone to come. Update (26/07): After some time, we got an appointment for the next day and an engineer came around to fix the faulty switch.

Initial experience and setup was good but recent experiences have not been great. This started with a number of billing errors (which to their credit were eventually sorted out), but recently have been having issues with the charger and response from Egg has not been good. Charger has not been working properly for 3 weeks now but despite this costing me extra money in peak time electricity bills I can’t seem to get any updates or urgency from Egg, either by email or phone. I’m simply assured each time that someone will be in touch to arrange a service visit…. and then another 48 hours passes with no contact and I have to repeatedly chase. Feels a little bit like once they have your money they’re reluctant to give you any attention and focus instead on winning new customers.
