The wait for the installation was far too long. The switch installer wired the live wire to the other live wire, leaving my home in a potential fire risk. The electrician rectified it though on installation. Also very poor communication on when the job would be done. No communication on when my monthly payment will come out either. Just dreadful service
The self done home survey, photos of the site, installation area etc. seemed like a great idea. No need to take time off work if you work days, or no need to lose sleep if you work nights as I do. In reality, some photo editing experience is needed (to highlight the cabling route), luckily I have this. Also, in house of any age I don’t think you would qualify for a standard install. Survey over, I was offered an almost immediate install just as I was going to bed after a night shift. Had to decline and as a result of my decision had to wait 2 weeks for the install. That’s on me, I was offered a quick install and turned it down due to my work cycle. Install day : Installer turned up later than I’d hoped but well within the the parameters given. Friendly and professional, when I proposed a slight change of cable route to make it easier for them, was explained about the possible dangers of electric cables running above your front door to emergency services in the event of a fire. Install finished within the time given. Minimum downtime (minutes) as regards electricity. Outcome: Indra app says it may take 48 hours before it recognises your charger. So far it is unusable. However their web app https : // app. indra. co. uk works just fine. You can plug in your EV and say I want my car ready by any specified time. Overall : Egg 4⭐️ Indra 3⭐️ (shocking app) Local installer 4⭐️ My first EV, was told it would take 6 months to arrive. In fact it took 12 months. You know if you’re going electric you will face problems or delays. This experience with Egg left me with no negative thoughts about my decision. Yes I would recommend them as long as long as you understand that it’s an industry in take-off
Really efficient, great service at every point. The only reason not 5* is because we had to get an isolation switch put on our electric meter. Egg reported this would cost - and offered this service for a fee. However, our electricity supplier did this for free.
All good and professional
Charger became faulty after 3rd day of use. (Burnt out wiring). Taken several weeks to resolve as doesn't seem EGG nor Indra nor their installation contractors are tkaing full ownership of issue
Good process overall and actual installation was great. Need more communication when setting date for installation though. It's no good telling me my installation date before checking with me that I am available - this delayed the installation process.
Great communication, nice engineers
Received great service experience from Egg from start to finish including the professionalism from their supplier with the installation. Price, service, installation all 5 star service and would highly recommend Egg.
Just had an EV charger installed. Not only a competetive price, but, really helpful people from start to finish. Very happy. Would definitely recommend!
Trying to do all of the reams of checks needed and the lack of proactivity from the Egg contact was not good, and i really got frustrated from the lack of understanding of me and my needs. However, the unit is brilliant and the installation was great - professionally installed, etc
They were a little slow to get things organised but the help desk was always fast and reactive
The whole process needs updating I was told the initial survey would take 5mins and 3 photos. I live in an old property and no one informed me of the problems I would face.
The engineer carried all his pre-install checks and before he started explained how he was going to do the work. My power was down for the minimum period of time and the install went smoothly.
Very little information given on the website over limitations on where cables can run and lead times. Needed to complete the whole order process (including payment) before being told it couldn’t go ahead because of a H&S issue with my cable route. Egg told me I hadn’t been charged anything. Nearly two weeks later and I’m still waiting for a refund of £338. Scammers. Edit following reply: in terms of installation limitations, it would be fairly simple to add some more info on your website stating that you cannot run a cable through a loft space. Had that information been available to me from the start, I would have never placed an order and I wouldn’t be out of pocket to the tune of £338 for two weeks.
Quick easy installation, Kept up to date with everything that was going on,excellent service
Install itself was good, the admin side took longer than it could which I had to chase a few times, plus you need to make it possible to denote a different install address at the point of sale
Quick and easy to book installation, only had to wait a few days. Install was great, only issue is they had to come back as the pictures the technician sent in showed an issue and another tech come out to fix…I still don’t know what the issue was. However, everything works as it should and I am able to charge my car at home.
Great install, great communication between myself and the installer.
Insulation was done very well I haven't had a chance to use it due to I haven't received my electric vehicle from dealer

Jun 23,2023Really good installation and friendly service. Really helpful with instructions and getting us set up. Received a call when installation was complete making sure everything was correctly, which was a classy touch. Would use the company again
